Exactly what I wanted. The wall looks great on the back of our enclosure. Looks real enough. I love not seeing the wall behind the tank. My tank was exactly the right size. So I didn't need to trim or anything. The bearded dragon actually climbs up on it sometimes an clings to it for a while, He seems to like it.

I was hesitant to spend $45 on a background for my bearded dragons terrarium but it was well worth it and much nicer than anything else I found in stores. It is about 1/2 inch or a bit more thick so will not hog space in the enclosure. I had to trim mine a bit to get it to fit on top of the desert sand mat in the bottom of the tank but it was easy to just shave a bit in the high places with a knife. This background looks very good and I am confident it will hold up through many many cage cleanings removing it and replacing it. I used a couple of pieces of double sticky tape on the back to hold the top corners in place as it is not super flat on the back. The only thing I don't like about it is that crickets climb up it and try to escape when I open the cage and sometimes get behind it where my dragon can't get them.

Comes with two crappy velcro things to hold in place and it doesn't stick to the back of it and if you don't have a feeder tank and just throw your bugs in their they run up it and hide behind it which by the way is 1/2 inch smaller then 36x16 more like 35 1/2 x 15 1/2 not worth the money feels like a got ripped off

I bought this as a background for a kingsnake enclosure. It was on sale when I bought it, and I'm satisfied with the purchase, but I'm not sure it'd be worth the full price.

Pros: It's not really "foam." It's more of a plastic-like, solid substance. This makes it solid enough to stand up to abuse from your animal, and easier to work with. It's pretty easy to cut with a box cutter if you need to fit it to a custom size. It looks alright, on par or better to similarly priced products. I've seen some of the other brands in pet stores and I think this one looks better.

Cons: It has sand thrown on it, presumably to add texture and dampen any sheen from the coating. The pattern probably varies unit to unit, but the one I received had some awkward patches of black sand. It looked kind of like asphalt, and was not nearly as uniform as the picture. But like I said, I got it on sale, and was cutting it down anyway, so I just tried to cut as much of those parts off as I could, and planted my vivarium to obscure the rest. It's also worth noting (though I don't think this is a big deal) that I'm not sure how you'd attach it to a glass enclosure. You'd have to buy stick velcro if you wanted it to be removable or aquarium silicone if you wanted it attached. Since my enclosure is wood, I just used small nails. In any case, it doesn't come with a way to attach it (some little clips were included with it, but for the life of me I don't know how you would apply them).

Conclusion: It was decent. Four stars for my purposes, but if you're picky or not planting your enclosure, patchiness might put a damper on your build.

Edit: Oh, it should be noted that despite the description, this item is not that rigid and can totally be bent, that's how I got it into the cage. Also, the "clips" included are like little pieces of plastic not even really clips. Just keep that in mind.

Well received the parcel . Was a little scared the background may chip as was being shipped all the way to India. Packing was top notch, delivered in 4 Day flat as standard shipping speed.The back ground was neatly wrapped in cellophane sheet with a base board for additional support. Getting to the product itself, build quality ,consistency is brilliant . The above has been placed in a 100 Gallon tank looks real pretty .Best way to place it into the tank is to silicon the thing, alteration are best made using a blade making a slight slit and break the additional trim.Highly pleased with purchase.Keep the good work going UNIVERSAL ROCKS.

I got this for my bearded dragon's enclosure. He's just a baby so he climbs on everything.. including this rocky background. Its really funny to watch him taunt my cat as he climbs up and under my cat, who can't get to him because of the screen on top of the tank. This stuff is neat. The packaging was great! Its fairly easy to cut, if you have the proper tools. I used scissors, so it took me a little while, but it got the job done!

We bought this to go in our Bearded Dragons terrarium. It looks great, he loves to climb it and yhe texture really does look like real rock. We had to trim it slightly which was easy to do. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not sit flat, so one corner or another will slightly stick out and the crickets can find thr gap and get behind the rock wall to hide. Today well be looking for something to use to stick it down to hopefully end the problem. But over all great addition to Garys home!
