Product Description

A green lawn is a healthy lawn, and a healthy lawn is a product of a thriving ecosystem within your soil. That’s why Safer Brand has created Lawn Restore II – an organic fertilizer that immediately goes to work to ensure the proper balance of natural elements in your soil, in turn giving you a healthier, greener lawn in just 3-5 days. Backed by over a quarter-century of research and development, this formula is the best choice for any turf; use it to promote greening in fresh sod, or bring life back to existing grass. And since Lawn Restore II covers twice the square footage of the original formula, it’s more economical than ever before. Organic lawn care does not have to mean expensive lawn care. Ringer Lawn Restore II covers twice the amount of land as the original Lawn Restore formula as well as other leading organic fertilizers. And Safer Brand did not have to sacrifice effectiveness; Lawn Restore II delivers the same great results as the original formula, while cutting the cost for you in half. Your grass feeds off of nutrients in your soil that are produced by beneficial bacteria and fungi. Organic fertilizer feeds that bacteria and fungi so that they can naturally produce those nutrients that your grass needs to flourish. Other synthetic fertilizers directly feed the grass, not only neglecting the beneficial bacteria and fungi, but killing them off. Without these organisms in your soil, your grass cannot survive on its own. Rather than disrupting your soil’s valuable ecosystem, Lawn Restore II promotes it, giving you a healthy, weed-free lawn, naturally. Not only does Lawn Restore II make your lawn greener and fuller above ground, but it also promotes a deep, strong root system below ground. Strong roots are necessary in the long-term health of your turf, protecting it from drought, diseases and maintaining a natural flow of healthy nutrients to your grass.

I was planning on reseeding the bad areas however at the rate of recovery I think ...
This product actually worked with restoring my centipede lawn that had been damaged by a national chain fertilizing company. Essentially entirely too much nitrogen was thrown down on my centipede lawn therefore destroying it. I cancelled the service and decided to use Lawn Restore, after all I figured if my grass is going to be killed or destroyed, I may as well have a hand in doing it myself versus paying someone else for total lawn destruction... In the span of 11 days my lawn started recovering. I was planning on reseeding the bad areas however at the rate of recovery I think my lawn should be fully thickened within 30 days, will see how this pans out. I've attached somewhat of a picture storyboard, the first picture is of my lawn being healthy last growing season (2017), the second picture is with the damaged caused from the national chain fertilizing company (May 2018), the third photo was taken 11 days after applying Lawn Restore. I'm impressed with the results thus far and plan on probably only using this product from now on. I did also purchase several bags of Milorganite at the same time of my Lawn Restore purchase, it was slated to be my second application, but I will hold off on the Milorganite until I get my lawn back to it's healthy state using Lawn Restore. I highly recommend Lawn Restore, it costs more but it works, remember it costs green to make green...

4.0 out of 5 stars Yes, yes it CAN burn the lawn. Just to be clear
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2015
I do use this product and I do support and advocate for the product as a better alternative to "fast" fertilizers like Scotts or whatever, simply because this fertilizer is slow releasing and lasts a lot longer with less applications needed. It supports strong grass growth and, for previously established lawns, can support the lawn through droughts (Which we're currently somewhat in).

Just to call out that, while there is a higher tolerance against lawn burning (you have less of a chance of over application), the claim that it can't burn your lawn is untrue. You DO still need to pay attention to how much is spread, and if you're using a drop spreader, be careful of any that spills out unexpectedly. Clean it up right away if you encounter this. See photo for evidence of what I'm talking about (the blue spots are seeds from an overseeding that was done).
