Customers like the sound quality of the guitar effect device. They mention it provides a wide selection of sounds from the Growl and Girth knobs. The range is complete bliss, and the extra bass power allows for low natural bass. The octave is clear, tracks well, and has the option to make the mid pop. It's great for single notes on guitar and bass, and is generous with the Octave Pedal technique.
"...You get this square Moogish, synthy sound that's very usable when coupled with an envelope filter, distortion and other fx...." Read more

The controls on this unit give you a wide variety sound options and the dry knob is a big plus. I use a GruvGear fret wrap which really gives you a tighter Octave sound. The fret wrap down on the neck deadens any open strings so there are virtually no "Octave
Farts" from sympathetic string ringing. Again I feel this is one of if not the best tracking octave pedal besides maybe the Micro Pog which is digital and in my opinion doesn't sound great to me playing an octave below.
I highly recommend the MXR Bass Octave Dlx
Too many low ends sometimes, too many mids the other ones... With a little patience you can find a nice sound.
I like it overall.
