The Walshes #8

Thresholds

Rate this book
Twas the weekend before Christmas, when all through the North End
Not a Walsh had his life together, not even his friends;

The parties were planned by the foodies with care,
In hopes that Wes and Erin would soon find their way there;

The men were stressing over last minute shopping lists and plans,
While the ladies were busy with work and nesting and finding the right paella pans;

When out in the dining room there arose such a clatter,
The Halsted dogs sprang from their beds to see what was the matter;

They whistled and shouted and called each other names,
While the secrets and announcements and surprises quickly came;

So onto another adventure they flew
With the sleigh full of Walshes, and the Commodore too—

As they continued arguing and clamoring around,
Down the road an unexpected visitor came with a bound;

But it wasn't long until couples were all nestled snug in their beds,
With new memories of steamy holiday nights dancing in their heads.

She turned her face to the sky and snowflakes gathered on her cheeks, her eyelashes, her lips. I watched those tiny crystals land and melt. Just like the moments passing me by, they were here one second and vapor the next.

How, exactly, is one supposed to find the words for a book that captivated them so much, that one more chapter became all the chapters, and 10pm became 1am?

I have no idea. But I’m going to try. Bear with me, okay? My fangirl is on a short leash and I don’t really have that much restraint . . .

The book is Thresholds by Kate Canterbary. That right there should tell you something—this book is witty, winning and Walshy. Three of my absolute favorite things. It’s a journey through the holidays with this eclectic, eccentric and electric family, and there’s not a single, solitary thing about it I would change.

The multiple POVs, the Christmas shenanigans, the growly, bitey boys, the smart, sassy women. All of it—perfect. As always, when it comes to Ms. Canterbary, the writing is stellar and the story completely and uttering engaging. Thresholds is a treat—a Christmas surprise—for readers of the Walsh series and it might just be my favorite holiday-themed book yet.

Guys, I cannot recommend this series enough. I’ve said it again and again and again, to more people than I can remember: these books, all of them, are MUST READS. They’re like the literary version of your favorite food, or your best jeans, or your warmest blanket, or your favorite cocktail—something you crave in all kinds of moments for all kinds of reasons; something that makes you happy just by being exactly what it it. Your favorite.

So, there you have it. My best attempt at explaining the why and the how of my love for Thresholds. And not just for Thresholds—for this series and its author, too.

“I still can’t believe it.”
“Believe what? That I know all of your defensive maneuvers?”
“That you’re mine.”

Right after Thanksgiving, Ms. Canterbary gave us a surprise and early Christmas present. She announced Walsh #8. To say that all her readers were shocked was putting it mildly, me included. She kept this nice and quite. She wrote a blurb and she ran with it, and boy she didn't disappoint. Let me just get this out of the way, if this is your first Kate Canterbary book, then we can't be friends. I joke, but seriously, get on the bandwagon and start with Underneath it All. Also, if you start with Thresholds, well there's lots and lots of spoilers so you've been warned.

Holidays with the Walshes is what I would have expected no less from this author. Full of laughs, loads of sexy times, some serious conversations, inappropriate pick up lines, some tears but most of all love. We even get a POV from Judy and the Commodore. Let's just say, I know why Will is all about the spanking lol.

We get POVs from all the men and those were hysterical. Wait until you read them getting lingerie for their wives. We also get a few surprises regarding some of the relationships, no, not telling you, you have to read it for yourself.

We get some new blood.

Of course, author lady saves the best for last and has me patiently waiting for the story, but damn that was some ending.

Look, I can praise and preach and throw knives, but you all need to read Thresholds and get your Walsh fix right the EFF now!

My sweet Ivy DeLuca has asked me to joint review this epicness for After Dark Book Lovers. I will come back and add the link here come Friday.

MORE WALSHES! ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you, Kate Canterbary for giving us a surprise opportunity to check in with one of my favourite fictional families. Yes, the Walshes are gathering together for the holidays and there are shenanigans to be had - including possessive alpha males and the "women who own them", inappropriate staff meetings, communal underwear shopping and a whole lotta sexy time!

Written (mostly) from the POV of the men of the series, we get the chance to catch up with each of the couples individually, as well as the family as a whole (always a wonderfully entertaining experience) in what is a fun, sexy and romantic epilogue-of-sorts for the series.

In terms of story continuation for the series, this isn’t a book that was needed because Preservation finished off the series beautifully. But it does provide some further development/closure for each of the couples and is a must-read for fans of the series who, like me, are desperate for any little glimpse of these beloved characters. We also get a bit of a hint of what could possibly be future spin offs to come, and I say bring it on!

I loved this little read. It’s a quick one, but one that had me grinning, laughing out loud and swooning all over again as Kate proves once again why these characters hold such a special place in my heart.

Fantastic! 4.5 stars.

There’s not much I can say other than I loved it. This has the feeling of going home for the holidays and seeing those family members you adore...even when they’re a wee bit crazy. In the best way possible, this reminds me of watching a “continuing drama,” since this book allows the reader to visit with characters that they’ve grown to love and meet new ones, all while adding another square to the Walsh quilt that Ms. Canterbary has created. I encourage anyone who is looking for a smart contemporary romance series to give the Walshes a shot. Just start from the beginning and by the time you make it to this entry, you will be thanking me.

It is no secret that I am a Kate Canterbary fan. I can probably (ok, definitely) take it a step further and say I am a Kate Canterbary fan-girl. And I'm proud of that fact. Every time I read one of her books, I sit in awe, questioning how so many people in the world can be unfamiliar with this amazingly talented woman and her phenomenal work. To call them simply books seems wrong. Because they are so much more than that. History lessons, discourses on family dynamics, architectural digests, insights into the art of male and female relationships and of course, every one includes Kate's signature sexy times and shenanigans. And this episode of Walsh family drama provides all that and more. In Thresholds, we are given the opportunity to reconnect with each of the Walsh siblings, their significant others, and the friends and family members that make up their small, but fiercely loyal clan. And every word is a gem, and every chapter is a blessing and the book in its entirety is pure magic.

But I can not risk spoilers (and there are many), so I'm not sure how to accurately and meaningfully describe how I felt reading this book. I guess the best way I can put it is this:

Reading this book was like receiving a completely unexpected holiday package from an old friend. And when you sliced open the cardboard and pulled back the flaps, you discovered that the package was full of a multitude of wrapped gifts in a variety of sizes. And your joy only grew bigger and wider as you unwrapped each individual box to find all of your favorite things nestled inside. There were gifts in the box containing items that you had loved for years, and it gave you a warm and fuzzy feeling to know that this friend knew you so well, so intimately, that they would include these memories from the past. And then there were a ton of new, little surprise goodies that you never knew you wanted but that you loved instantly and it made you feel, almost impossibly, even closer to that old friend. Each layer of tissue paper you peeled back brought on another wave of glee, a surge of nostalgia, a rush of feeling. Some of the gifts brought you to tears, as gifts from those who know you well so often do. And some of the gifts had you laughing uncontrollably- that kind of deep, belly laughter that only surfaces in the presence of the best of friends, sharing an inside joke, or an undoubtedly inappropriate moment. Absolutely every emotion known to humankind was inside that box of treasures. And you were torn between opening every gift  in rapid succession because you couldn't wait to see what would be next, and parceling them out at the slowest possible pace in order for the wonder of the entire experience to never, ever end. Then, it happens, you reach the bottom. And see one very last box. This box is wrapped so very differently from all of the other boxes. It looks a little rough around the edges. Maybe as if it's seen a thing or two, or is in need of some TLC. But you know, there's no way this particular friend would ever send you anything that was not carefully planned, thought out to include every possibility and checked and rechecked an infinite number of times. So you open it gingerly. And... the box is empty. For a second, you panic. Was there a problem during shipping? Did the package get intercepted? Did you miss a crucial detail while opening all the other boxes? So you sit back, and think, and stare, and ponder all the possibilities. And then you come to the following conclusions:

1. You had NO idea this particular package was coming to you.
2. The package contained an unspeakable amount of gifts that you can never properly express your thanks for.
3. The gifts provided you with memories to last a lifetime, and emotions that you will still be sorting out when the New Year is rung in.
4. You will be taking your time, in all likelihood multiple times, to go through every single gift again and analyze it, examine it and cherish it.
5. This friend will do right by you. And it may not be the "right" you expect, or imagine, but you have absolutely zero doubt that there is meaning to EVERY single gift in the box, even that very last one. And for now, you just need to sit back and enjoy the inimitable and precious gifts you have already received.

Another epic book in The Walsh Series by Kate Canterbary! It was everything we never knew we wanted, yet everything we needed!! If you haven’t read books 1-7, do yourself a favor and read them first. This book has everything we’ve come to love from the Walshes. Growly boys, salty females, every beloved Walsh and their supporting cast. We meet some new characters along the way that have us wanting for more! I LOVED hearing directly from Judy and The Commodores POV a few times throughout the book.

To sum everything up without giving anything away, this book is the perfect Walsh update, wrapped up in a sparkly Christmas bow! Thank you Kate for surprising us with this book!

Absolute freaking perfection! As a devout Walsh family lover, this book was everything I could have hoped for and more. So, there are really only two ways to go about this:

1. You've already read the Walsh Series, which means you need, need, NEED to read this book! In Thresholds, we get to visit with everyone we know and love in the Walshiverse, and it is an absolute MUST READ.

2. You haven't read the Walsh Series, which means you NEED to get on it! {Can I just say how envious I am of anyone that gets to experience it for the first time? I wish I'd had even an inkling of how special this series is so I could have savored it even more.} Alas, my hindsight is your foresight—savor and enjoy every single word, but read it NOW! It is hands down one of my most favorite series EVER.

Two choices. Each one a winner. Enjoy!

5 No Place Like Home for the Holidays CROWNS

I am going to be honest here, and completely confess that Kate Canterbary made my Christmas when she announced this holiday novella with the Walsh family. I love these characters and this world she created, and so Thresholds is like coming home for the holidays, giving readers that warmth and comfort we only get when surrounded by those we love.

Having each chapter written in different points-of-view for the members of the Walsh clan, immediate and secondary family members, allows the author to get us caught up on all of the people we love. Readers get to see where they are, who is getting married, who is having kids, who is struggling, and who is thriving. Although the story is told from many different points-of-view, the author creates a centralized plot detail that keeps the story unified and all of the characters connected. All the conflicts, concerns, successes, and moments of love are connected to this moment, and the love between the members of this family permeates the air and warms the heart.

Perfect. Thresholds by Kate Canterbary is pure Christmas romance magic, and I absolutely enjoyed my return visit to this family I have grown to love.

Wow! Just Wow! A total must read for all fans of The Walsh series by Kate Canterbary! What can I say, I love this family! Kate has created a cast of characters that you want to be a part of. I have been a fan of Kate’s writing since I first picked up Underneath it All. Now, I think I’d be happy to read her grocery list. This book was such a fun festive read. I loved seeing all the characters again. It was a perfect meshing of the entire family. I can’t wait to keep reading anything and everything that Kate has in store for us!

Thresholds is not a standalone. I would recommend having some prior Walsh experience to fully enjoy each moment of this book.

In Thresholds, we get to see everyone during the Christmas rush in Boston. New friends are introduced a bit more and we get updates on old favorites. The book is told from multiple points of view, some are familiar, some are new.

Thresholds had me tearing up, in heartbreak, then from laughter. I was devouring each word. I've been a huge fan of Ms. Canterbary's writing style since book 1, and Thresholds is no exception. I simply could NOT put it down. The Walsh Universe is one I could happily get stuck in and never leave.
Thresholds is paced evenly, laugh out loud funny at points, and gasp worthy at others. I loved getting to know a few characters a bit better, and to be in their head felt like an experience of a lifetime. I can say, I will never get sick of this family, and will gladly accept any scrap of the Walshes Ms. Canterbary is willing to give.

If I ever thought I couldn't love the Walshes more Kate Canterbary has proven that wrong. As the song goes they are simply the best, perfect as is. This book was very much needed after missing ths Walshes so. I can't say enough without being spoilery so I'm keeping this short. We are gifted with presents of heartwarming moments , shenanies and steam between the festivities from our favorite couples. Seriously these guys are made me swoon, want to squeeze them in
adorableness and just keep going aww. I could keep reading this gang till each one grows old and not be be sick.

This is definitely holiday Walsh style! Plus maybe a few other special guests. I love these guys did I say that already? All favorite couples are here and more goodness abound. Start of new chapters and all that come the new year ahead. Good holiday story with a fantastic family just awesome times. We get mini closure and bread crumbs too come (hopefully?). All in all just a superb holiday themed read!

What a great Christmas treat by author Kate Canterbary- it is a novella in the The Walsh Series. It is very much an epic novella in the world of the Walsh siblings and their spouses. It was totally, completely everything I never knew I needed yet somehow so totally really needed and loved. If you have not read books 1-7, then you have missed out and in order to read this story, you will need to read the previous books to understand what is going on in Thresholds.
I do not want to give any spoilers away but I will say you will get to see possessive alpha males and the wives, who own their hearts, relatives gathering for a fantastic Christmas get together, and the usual laughs, hijinks, and passionate sexy times. You will get to revisit previous characters and meet new characters—you get POV from all the men—trust me, that had me in stitches—two words – lingerie shopping LOL. Plus there are some surprises regarding the state of the relationships regarding some of the couples . Bet you are wondering which Walsh’s… I won’t tell you, you have to read it for yourself.
I know many are wondering about Wes and Ms. Kate didn’t forget Wes –whoa, she didn’t forget Wes. I was very shocked by the ending of the story of this book. This was a roller coaster of a book filled with all my favorite Walshes. I have loved each and every one of the characters. Kate Canterbary has written such a EPIC romance story that was a beautiful, funny, sexy read. She knows how to give the FEELS.Oh the FEELS…wrapped up like a sparkly Christmas present.

I'm not even sure where to begin. I found Kate sometime after the first four Walsh books had been written and published. I devoured them all in one weekend and waited very patiently for everyone after. The Spire (Book 6) is probably hands down one of my favorite books of all time. Everything Kate writes, I want to read. She has this magical gift for bringing these characters to life and into your homes.

This book was the best holiday gift one could ever imagine. It was an unexpected gift right before the holidays. I devoured every single word she wrote. Every letter, every sentence, every paragraph. This was like catching up with old friends while making a new one in the process.

I was prepared to feel sad at the end. Like saying goodbye to one of your very best friends. Instead, I felt everything BUT sad. I felt happy and overwhelmed and sated. I felt like I had been through the very best romp of my life and came out the other end, messy hair and glowing face included.

Kate, thank you for this world. For these characters, for Boston. I'm not sure I have words big enough, so I'll just have to say thank you.

Now about Wes.....

* 5 Walshy stars *

Oh.My.God......Kate Canterbary has blown my mind YET AGAIN. Just when I thought the Walsh family saga was over, she goes and drops a surprise 8th book and quite literally causes my world to tilt on its axis!!! This book is EVERYTHING!!!! The first thing you should know is that this book is NOT A STANDALONE! If you have not already read the Walsh series, first, WHY NOT?????? But beyond that, stop right here and go back to start the series from book 1 (Underneath It All) because there's so much Walshy-goodness in this book that you will want to start at the beginning of the series so you don't miss a thing. Thresholds is full of fan-freakin-tastic spoilers and references to past events that dedicated fans will rejoice and bow down to Queen Canterbary and her brilliantly clever mind.

Thresholds is told from MULTIPLE points of view. Yup, you read that right.....it's not dual POV but multiple POV giving us a gloriously comprehensive story from the entire Walsh Universe, including JUDY and THE COMMODORE!!! GAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! If that isn't the biggest, tastiest treat of all, I don't know what is! The story takes place during the holiday season and there are shenanigans, growly boys, "shopping" adventures and parties as well as bombshells that will delight fans. There are moments you will laugh your ass off (one particular chapter literally had me howling with laughter!) and there are moments that you will get emotional and likely shed a tear or two. It all comes together into one perfect book that readers will absolutely adore. And with a few new in-depth character introductions, Canterbary has paved the way for possible spinoffs. I, for one, will be waiting with bated breath in hopes that they materialize. Because anything that Canterbary writes, I will read. Thresholds was a joy to read and, as with the rest of the books in the series, I am suffering from post-Walsh depression now that I've finished the last page. This family reunion was everything I could've ever wanted. Thank you Ms. Canterbary for making my holidays complete!

This is a MUST read for any fan of the series. This is definitely not to be skipped. You need to add it to your eReader and just devour it. If you aren't a fan, dust off your copy of Underneath It All and get to reading. Kate has this phenomenal ability to paint your imagination with a tale that will engage you from book to book. You never feel on repeat; always feeling each story is fresh insight to have you in falling deeper in love with the characters she has created.

I devoured this story in hours. Readers get the full holiday treatment of only what a Walsh Family Christmas can be. We hear from all our favorite family members and then some. Kate Canterbary is an amazing storyteller. Her voice carries the novel with multiple POVs as the reader is watching each day unfold. You stayed glued to the screen and lost in their world- happily. I see this as a holiday favorite I return to again and again like my binge watching of Love Actually.

The Holidays are a time to relax and spend time with family and friends. Imagine how excited I was when I discovered that I would have time with one of my favorite families, The Walshes.

Thresholds (Book 8) cannot be read as a standalone. There are too many spoilery type things. However, if you are a Walsh groupie like I am, you’ll want to push that wrapping paper aside, grab a beverage, and snuggle up with this story.

Thresholds gives us multiple points of view from some of our very favorites, PLUS a peek into the minds of characters who now have a few things to add. We get swoony moments. We get sentimental moments. We get sexy moments that keep these guys on the NAUGHTY list. We get awkward moments. We get shenanigans. We get surprises. The Walshes put the fun in holiday disfunction!

Kate Canterbary has a way of creating characters and stories that stay with you long after you finish reading. Thresholds is just one example of this, and I hope you’ll take a chance and experience the magic, too.

I was and forever will be excited the minute Kate Canterbary announces a new book. But when that book is the eighth book in the beloved Walsh series? You do flippin cartwheels!! Gahh! This book was everything you could've wanted and more. Just calling it a Holiday book does not do it justice. It is honestly another endearing and close personal look into the lives of our favorite family (and all the craziness that is always involved with them.) I could not get enough!!

I swear the Walsh series can be compared to a tennis match where your constantly watching different players volley potshots, sarcastic retorts, heartfelt moments and just all around amazingness back and forth. You never know whats going to happen and who will say what but you just love it. This is honestly my favorite series EVER and such a joy to read. I loved seeing all of the Walsh-Stead-Acevedo men, their close friends and the Queens who rule their roosts. This book was outstanding and another 5 star feather in the cap of this magical author. I LOVED IT!! If you haven't read the Walsh Family series, Please do yourself a huge favor and start with Underneath It All. This is one of the best series EVER. There are spoilers in THRESHOLDS.
This book is a gigantic Christmas gift to the readers. Warm, wonderful and exciting. I was engrossed from the start and pretty much read it in one sitting, it required staying up very late but I'm dedicated that way, ha! Whatever you're reading, this is better. I won't say more than that because it should hit you blind.

I LOVE presents and since I had my head wrapped around that the Walsh series was over, this surprise story is an awesome early Christmas present!! If you haven't had the immense pleasure of reading about the Walshes, this is not, I repeat IS NOT, the place to start! But do yourself a big favor and read the series.

From the first book, I have felt like a member of this family and because of that, I am so very happy and grateful that I get to spend Christmas with them. Told from the POV of all of the men, I loved getting back into their heads and seeing all of the off the wall things that only they can do. From Christmas shopping to throwing Christmas parties to setting up security, I was laughing hysterically from basically start to finish. But the Walshes wouldn't be the Walshes if they also didn't make you shed a tear or two. I'm excited about the secondary characters who were introduced and the future happiness for all of the Walsh clan. I still can't wipe the smile off my face!!

I was so surprised by this release. I didn’t know it was coming. I read it, soaking up every word! Kate Canterbary is something special.

The characters she write are like friends, family even. You feel like you’re in the room with them. You feel what they feel. Every single moment.

I’ve been with the Walshes since book 1. I don’t remember how I found her, but I’m so fortunate I did. I don’t care if I’m the crazy, pervy girl that FEELS LIKE I KNOW THESE CHARACTERS!! I do!

Erin and Nick are my favorite, but the entire family is amazing. I mean, every group convo has me laughing. I've read every book multiple times, and I always catch some new.

I won’t give anything away ... this book was just right. I’m so glad to have these pages to reread over and over. I'm still processing it. I mean, I can't let them go.

Thanks Writer Lady for your brain! Your characters are smart, brave, realistic and just dazzling.

This is the book you didn't know you were waiting for.

I missed the Walshes but I wanted to be patient as the writer lady is busy and waits for them to speak to her. Apparently, they all were yelling in SHOUTY CAPS and we all benefited from it.

I hate to say that I didn't want it end, because that's not fair to the author but in reality, I did not want it to end.

5 It's Truly a Very Happy Holidays Walshes Style!!!

The joy in my heart for this book cannot be maintained!! I just want to go caroling around my neighborhood telling everyone how much I LOVED this book!!

We've been teased over the last several weeks about this book and who may or may not be included and I'm not going to give anything away because I will not ruin this Walshes experience for you.

What I will tell you is that this book is everything I wanted it to be. I laughed, I swooned, I cried a tear or two. There's heat in the most unexpected of places, there's sharing of sometimes too much information and there's a bonding between family members that gave me the warm fuzzies.

If you're a Walshes fan then this is a MUST READ. If you haven't yet experienced this series, what are you waiting for, go right now and pick up Underneath It All and work your way through this amazing series of love, loss and family culminating with Thresholds!

I'm not sure where to start or what to say. I feel like I have been begging everyone I know to read this series since book one. I struggle with each book to put into words how much I love them. Every book, EVERY SINGLE BOOK, holds me captive. Every member of this family touches my soul with their broken parts and all the things that make them unique.

Thresholds takes on a trip through the holidays through the eyes of the Walshes. It gives us a peek into the traditions, new and old, of this beautifully scarred family. Each one of them witty, eclectic and charming in their own way. Told from multiple POV's, with each chapter giving us a slice if holiday cheer (Walsh style) from a different family member, this book captivated me from the very first page.

If you haven't started this series yet then you should absolutely, without a doubt, move it to the top of your TBR. Everything about this family's dysfunction makes them PERFECT! It makes them real. Ms. Canterbary will make you laugh, cry and fall in love with this crazy, imperfect, sometimes weird family. And, I promise, you will love it. You may even be a better person for it. She will take you on a journey that will leave you wishing that these people were your people! You will want to simultaneously hug them, have a good cry with them and sit down and have a drink (or four) with them.

I loved this book! The writing is perfect. The story is perfect. The possessive men and the sassy, strong women are perfect! It's full the signature Canterbary wit, sass, charm and swoon. It's the perfect way to end the year. It's beautifully complicated, real and emotional. It's worth every minute I spent reading. It's everything!! I hope you take the time to get to know the Walshes.

Thresholds is a holiday romance that acknowledges just how complicated the holidays can be. There are misbehaving family members, vulnerable partners experiencing their first holidays together, first-time parents struggling to reconcile parenthood with all the other pre-existing parts of their lives, world travelers trying to get home, and unplanned excitement of all kinds. And that's just a list off the top of my head. Thresholds is a joy to read because, like all Kate Canterbary books, it is phenomenally well written, with beautiful turns of phrase and multidimensional characters. It is also hilariously funny and deeply, often tear-provokingly, moving. This book is a return to the Walsh family, so I don't know that I would recommend reading it without having read at least one of the Walsh series books- but this is more because you would enjoy it SO much more having already met these phenomenal characters than because you wouldn't get it or like it. For those of us who are Walsh fans already, Thresholds feels like the best kind of homecoming, where you see people you love and have missed and get to catch up on their lives. All the Walshes are here, with chapters dedicated to each of the couples, and there are some bonuses from characters we know and love who haven't had books, including a hilarious episode about a "stray" who is invited to a family evening and misbehaves in an understandable and hysterically funny way. Thresholds has an unexpected and intriguing ending- because what would a Kate Canterbary book be without some unexpectedly delightful surprises?

THIS BOOK!!
How do I begin to summarize this treasure? Thresholds is an unexpected love letter wrapped up & delivered just in time for Christmas. It made me laugh, it made me swoon and it made me cry. It made my heart race in anticipation and ache with nostalgia. It is pure perfection, mixing equal parts breathtaking love with scorching hot sexy times and just a dash of suspense.
How can so much be packed in one book? Every chapter is from a different character’s unique perspective, so no matter your favorite, they are all given a voice. This gives us lucky readers a chance to revisit all members of the Walsh family in one big, heartwarming interconnected story.
As much as I love this book, I must state clearly that this is not a standalone. Do not jump into the Walsh books here! Instead, do yourself a favor & pick up “Underneath it All”, the first in the series & come back after you’ve caught up. You won’t regret it. Prefer audios? Christine Fox’s take on the men in this series is panty dropping, just saying ;)
Kate Canterbary’s writing makes me want to be a part of the Walsh family, partake in their shenanigans and dish over margaritas & pedicures. It makes me hope that the endless stories begging to be told will continue for years. What more can you ask from a series?

The Walsh family shenanigans are plentiful in this book (Book 8). Whereas the first seven books could be read as standalones, though I'm a purest and believe they should be read in order to truly understand and soak in all the feels, this book should be read after the first seven books. Thresholds is full of spoilers. You'll get chapters from characters you've been craving to hear from and even a chapter from a random character (this one was a total surprise to me). It's everything you want in a Walsh book, shenanigans, potential shambles, heart, sexy times, and growley bitey men. The Walsh universe continues and grows as if these characters are real and we're just popping in to check on them during the holiday season. Never have I ever been so passionate about a series. If you're already invested in the Walsh universe dive in and savior this one; and if you haven't joined our crazy family of Walsh lovers yet, all I have to say is get to it, you won't regret it.

This book is not a standalone, you need to read the 7 books before as there is a lot of spoilers in this book. This was just perfection! We get to meet up with our favourite Walsh family over the festive period and it’s exactly how I imagine it would be! we get to see how they are all doing now with POV from all the men, there’s a few surprises in store too. I laughed, sighed and swooned while reading this, for fans of this series it’s a must read, if you have never read this series, do yourself a favour and start it today, you won’t be disappointed!!
