I remember reading reviews about these before I bought them July 2019.One that caught my attention and I haven't forgotten since was a review about the battery life and range of the headset.Battery Life:Have no complaints.I have used the headset until it starts beeping at me, then plugged it in for at least 6-12 hours to charge.Battery life is still perfectly good in my opinion.Weekends:If I start gaming around 2:00PM, I am still on the same charge around 11:00PM - midnight, if not longer.Trying to remember, but I normally game for 12 hours+ over the weekend and I am 95% sure pretty much every time, I have gamed for 12 hours+ on the same charge.Range (Live in a 1 bedroom apt.):I always had issues when I walked into my bedroom, which is the opposite end of my apt (somewhere between 25-50 feet away), it will connect again depending.Usually I just walk in real quick to grab something and come right back out. However, there is the kitchen + appliances, a wall, the restroom/shower, a wall, and the boiler + A/C closet between my computer where the wireless USB is plugged in and my bedroom.Any way you slice it for me, they have been great so far, and it has almost been 2 years.I can happily say that I do like these more than the Astro A30's I used to have for Xbox.Even though I don't game on the Xbox very much at all anymore, the only CON I can mention is that I would have still liked to be able to connect these to the Xbox as well.Update August 2022:Headphones still working great!Per iCue, the Max charge I can get these to seems to be around 90%, micro USB. Even then, still lasts 6-8 hours. No issues with sound. Only thing really wearing down on it is the padding where my ears go, can be seen in the uploaded picture.Have been thinkin about upgrading just because but these still work.Update July 28th, 2022:Headset has been replaced. I noticed not too long ago, within a week or 2 that the microphone was getting loose when lifted, not the mic doesnt quite work all the time. Sound is still fine, would continue to work for just sound. Just the mic is in and out. Either way, time to upgrade: Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless is what I picked up.Uploaded pictures of the way my headset looks after these years. Only took pictures of noticable things that are worn or broken. I wouldnt say I was rough on my headset, maybe dropped it half a dozen times, probably less. Always plugged it in after use unless I forgot (not often) and even used it plugged in while playing when it would die after long sessions or forgetting to plug it in the day before. USB stick probably took the brunt of any beating but still works.Be reasonable. No headset is going to survive barbaric behavior and neanderthalism.

5.0 out of 5 stars Audio oriented review here. EQ them! Now!
Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2019
Didn't see many audio oriented reviews here, so here goes mine. If you're running this headset like it was out of the box, you're missing out on the really nice sound signature you can get from these. Go into your iCUE software and tune them now!

Let me start by saying that in terms of comfort, these are superb. The earcup design is perfect, it fits the ear exactly how it should, it has a very loose fit and they don't clamp at all. These are up there with the most comfortable headphones i've used. They don't get hot over long periods of time. Nothing to criticize here. They are a bit bulky (not heavy, but bulky). They must be, they have a battery in them, but the weight is very well balanced. Construction is superb, these will last for years to come.

In terms of sound, these have a VERY forward midrange and high bass, which is ideal for voices, they are not spacious by any means, they are closed backs with a very intimate signature. For music, I had to go with quite a drastic eq. Dropping the 250hz and below range (yes, lower the bass on these. It's very muffled and overdone), and upping the treble is ideal, doing this will eliminate the "boxy" sound you get out of the box (no pun intended) which again, is ideal for voice calls.

The sound quality when these are already equalized is very good. They are no monitors, but the 50mm drivers behave very, very well. The treble is excelent, it's smooth and not grainy. It's not fatiguing. High bass is very emphasized. Again, these are closed headphones with a very narrow soundstage, everything happens very close to your ears, but the experience is quite impressive for a wireless set. The kind of bass these produce reminds me a lot of Beyerdynamic DT770s (very famous monitor headphones), covering the whole high bass spectrum at any volume level. It's not as precise as the DTs, but the response is very similar. The DTs are more spacious too and overall a better headphone. It is a much more expensive set after all.

I'm posting my eq curve so people can enjoy these a bit more in music. This is what sounds good to me, it might not be what sounds good for you, but do tune them and mess around with the settings. My first thoughts when I got these were "well yeah, there's is the usual "tin can" sound signature. Guess I'll have to deal with it", but I was legitimately surprised how well these responded to eq. I prefer the treble on these over the Hyperx Cloud II's, to put it into perspective. The cloud II is a very well regarded headset which, in case you didn't know already, is basically an entry level audiophile headphone with some hyperx branding and a mic. These are that good, they sound very nice.

The microphone is what you would expect out of a any headset, nothing to talk about. Sounds clear, and you'll be heard. Great purchase overall. Ditch the RGB lightning and you'll get a lot more battery time. 5 stars from me. Go do some EQ now!
