The coco loco potting mix has the ability to hold more than its weight in water while still draining well. The coir in coco loco behaves like little Sponges offering nutrients water as needed by the plants. Lower humidity reduces the possibility of attracting mold root rot, as well as leaving insects less likely to bother your potted plants.

Love this stuff....my Greencrack autoflower loves this stuff...remended the coco 2 weeks into flower with a top dressing on veg only water ph 6.5/6.8 (keeping microbial activity alive using organic dry amendments flower only)
This "soil" has a learning curve. Do good research or you'll likely kill your plants. Underwatering will be the easiest way to kill them with this product. This retains at least 10% oxygen even if you just drowned it. Use a fabric pot for best results. It'll flush nutrients out with each watering so look into fertigation. The size was good and the value is there. I'd say it'll be good for a few grows realistically, it's definitely well made/ durable.
I was recommended this soil from Blossom and Branch Farm on YT along with sheep wool pellets to create my seed starting soil using soil blockers. I did sift the soil with a 1/4” sifter before mixing with my fluffed up sheep wool pellets to sift out larger clumps. Only found 1 small stone in the entire bag.
Hands down this is the best peat free seed starting potting soil available. I like that it’s peat free not just for sustainability but, when you water the mix doesn’t rise up in the container which peat is notorious for doing. It takes a long time to fully hydrate peat when dry. Hence, why it rises up in the container until fully hydrated.
My seeds all germinated in record time this year. No complaints whatsoever and my veggie starts are loving this peat free potting soil too.
My garden is amazing because of this. I have more tomatoes than I know what to do with and my flowers are bigger than ever. This stuff is like dirt with steroids. Organic. Easy to mix with any soil and voila! garden of the year.
I love this mix from Fox Farm! I use it in my soil blocking recipe for seed starting. I appreciate that this product does not use peat. The consistency and texture is perfect for gardening and I use it with both flowers and vegetables. Thank you Fox Farm!
Great soil with organic nutrients that truly makes a big difference in plant size and vigor. I recently used this to grow a tomato plant that was an absolute monster and produced a more than abundant amount of tomatoes. Great soil from a great company.
Peat is in even conscientious potting soils - found a singular exception Fox Farm's Coco Loco last spring. Bought it on line this spring because it sold out by June last year. Thank you Fox Farm for telling peat purveyors to go to hell. Healthier plants and no fungus gnats in my greenhouse!
