Easy and fun for new people
Setup was simple and clear. Ours are setup on main floor above fireplace. Our wireless modem is in basement. Connection is not ideal. Lights offline 15% of time but for seem to be getting better. I don't think's it's the lights, more of a logistics problem in my home. I have set both lights up in 1 group. Easy to control both lights with 1 action when both are connected to wifi. Again, the wifi connection can be spotty at times causing only light to respond. Using the app, I can set a schedule for them to turn on in morning and turn off at scheduled time. I have turned them on and off from work successfully. They are synced up to Alexa, that was simple. Alexa does not seem to recognize them as a group so I have to have Alexa turn them on and off individually. The dimming option is great from app as well as from Alexa. Make sure you pick names for your seperate lights that are easy for Alexa to control. All in all, for the price and not having a hub, I love them.

The Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb is an excellent product that is 100% compatible with Amazon Alexa without a hub. The low price made me mildly skeptical that they would fully function -- especially when using more than one bulb in the same light source -- using the Echo's voice commands. But setting them up was no more difficult than any other Echo-compatible smart devices that I use in my home.

You'll first need to download the "Eufy Home" app onto your smartphone or tablet. Then you'll need to download the "Eufy Home" skill in the Alexa app. I bought four of these bulbs for use in a ceiling fan and as I said, was skeptical that they could be controlled by voice as a unit or group. But they work as a group just as well as they work individually.

In order to get multiple bulbs to respond to voice commands simultaneously, you'll need to do the following:
- Install the Eufy Home app.
- Enable the Eufy Home skill in the Alexa app
- Run the Eufy Home app and add each bulb individually
- Let the Alexa app discover all of the bulbs you want to use
- Open the Settings Menu and select "Smart Home" in the side menu that opens
- Select the "Groups" tab at the top of the screen and select "Add Group"
- Select "Smart Home Group"
- Here you can select one of the default group names or create a custom group name. (I created a group called "Lighting") then tap on "Next"
- Select the Echo device(s) that you want to be able to control the group with, then scroll down and select all of the bulbs you wish to add to the group, making sure that a checkmark appears next to each one, and then tap "Save."

After these steps are completed, you should be able to control the bulbs simultaneously as a group. The Eufy Skill is rather particular about the phrasing of your commands. You can say "Alexa, Lighting on/off." If you want to dim the bulbs you'll have to say "Alexa, decrease Lighting by 50%" or "Increase Lighting by 100%." etc... It will only dim the lights in increments of 10 and only works when using the term "percent."

That's how I was able to set four bulbs to act as one unit. Of course you can give each individual bulb a custom name and control them individually as well and you can turn them off, on, or set the brightness by using the app, as well. I hope this helps.

I have to disagree with some of the negative reviews I've come across so far. These bulbs are awesome.

Setup: Super easy. We have both Amazon Echo and Google Home. I started by downloading the Eufy app from the Google Play store. It directed me to set up a Eufy account. From there, you simply make sure you're on your home wifi network and install your first bulb. The bulb will blink a few times indicating it's ready for setup. You then click the '+' button in the app, and you'll see the bulb. Name it, and you're done. Then go into your respective smart home product (Alexa, Google Home) and add Eufy as a skill. It really couldn't be easier.

The Eufy app works well as a standalone. We have a 6 month old, so shouting "Alexa! Turn off the lights" isn't an option all the time. The app makes this simple.

Because they're LED, the sip energy. I found that the bulbs do a good job of outputting light in the 60w range. The color was slightly more yellow than the incandescent bulbs they replaced, but I found it acceptable.

The bulbs can be dimmed easily as well. "Alexa, dim the bedroom lights to 50%." Worked like a charm.

Once we'd installed them, we were prompted to install a firmware update...for each bulb. Did it feel odd to update a lightbulb's software? Of course. Also, if we had dozens of these things, the update process could be rather a pain. Just something to keep in mind.

Everything was smooth as butter. Should that change, I'll be certain to update this review.

Pros:
-Easy to set up. The included instructions are clear and concise and anyone can set these up in about 3 minutes.
-Works great with Google Home. The Google Home app works flawlessly with the EufyHome app (more on this in the cons).
-Set up groups. While you can name each one and control each bulb with that name (ie- "Living Room 1" and "Living Room 2"), you can group your bulbs into groups. So after grouping "Living Room 1" and "2", and naming it simply "Living Room", I can simply say "Turn off living room lights", and both will turn off. You can still say each individual name if you want only one to turn on.
-Decent brightness. Keeping in mind these are 60 watt equivalent bulbs and not meant to light up the Eiffel Tower, these produce adequate soft white lighting.
-Dimmable
-Set schedules

Cons:
-Size. These are pretty tall bulbs. If you have lamps or shallow recessed lighting, you'll want to measure to make sure you'll have the clearance first.
-Color. Just a minor gripe, these seem to be really far on the yellow side.
-The EufyHome app. There seems to be room for improvement with the app. While you can set schedules for individual bulbs, you can't set schedules for groups. There's also a bit of lag with the remote, more so while using it off of your network, but also noticeable on your home network. You'll press the power button, but it takes a second to register. Using Google Home eliminates this, but just a heads-up if you're using the app, it's spotty with it's latency. I'm sure this is something Anker, one of the better manufacturers around, will remedy this in the future.

Overall I really do like these bulbs and plan on buying more when Amazon has them in stock again, and I'm fully confident Anker/Eufy will fix the app issues over time.
