Nice Colonial town with a nice central plaza and Mercado to get a nice affordable meal all day. Quiet and apart from the Sumidero tour not much else to do except buy trinkets up and down the old arcade stores.

I enjoyed the tour of Canon del Sumidero, It was surreal being there. It was very disappointing seeing so much trash floating in the water, It made me sad to see such a majestic place with so much liter.

Afterwards I noticed it was mentioned in the email after making reservations however I believe such misleading should not happen. If I knew the final price from beginning I could choose cheaper or nicer place.

The room was spaceous and clean and comfortable. The inner courtyard was cute. Just a small walk down to the river for the canyon cruise. Perfect for a short stay in Chiapa de Corzo!
