Some of my criticisms are as follows: First, plugging the cable into the headphones can be rather difficult, especially while the headphones are on. The mids could use some slight improvement. Be aware that these headphones are very large, and I don't know that I would recommend them to people who would use them while traveling a lot because of their size. They are big, this doesn't bother me much, but I would like if they were slightly more portable than they are. The cable clip doesn't seem like it makes the cable any more securely attached to the headphones than it is without it, but the cable is still attached well. They are labeled as "monitoring headphones," but I would personally not recommend them to be used with this purpose in mind simply because they don't give a true representation of what you should be hearing. With monitoring headphones you want as flat of a frequency response curve as possible, and these don't offer that feature.
PROS:
-Very good price to performance
-Extremely comfortable
-Very good build quality overall
-Many great accessories
-Sound is exceptional
CONS:
-Bulky/ not very portable
-Mids are slightly lacking, nothing major though
-Cable clip doesn't seem to do much
-Not good to be used as "Monitoring Headphones" (didn't impact me, but be aware)
Despite these few cons, I still rate these as a 5/5 just because of my experience with them and their exceptional performance and features for such a low cost. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality audio experience in any price range.

I changed the pads to the foam pads in order to help reduce the bass, as out of the box they can be a bit bass heavy, and I can't tell if it's my ears that adjusted (probable) or the headphones actually had a burn in period, but after using them for a couple of weeks with an EQ that reduced bass and boosted high-mids a little, I ended up taking off the EQ all together. I think these have a burn in period for that reason (or maybe the pads do), because I kept flattening my EQ over the course of a couple of weeks. In fact, now I'm boosting the sub-bass for fun! If it was just my ears tricking me, surely I would have left the EQ as is... but that's a whole topic of debate.
What I want is basically impossible; something that can go to sub-bass levels, is open backed for that great stereo imaging and still punch like an angry drunk, AND is cheap! Well... this manages to do most of that! I can get as low as 40ish Hz using an EQ and they really rumble! I can't believe they go as low as they do, I think it's to do with the large drivers, but at this price it's just an awesome feature! Compared to in-ear buds though, the headphones put out about half the volume, so you may need an amplifier of some sort (my Behringer UMC204 DAC handles them fine). They can still punch reasonably well with the right track, and they still sound pretty wide with good soundstage, again depending on the track. What you get for your money here is nothing short of a wonder.
I've A/B'd these with my Yamaha HS50 speakers, and they don't sound all that bad in comparison (though the HS50s are very clear). I'd rather mix on these than the Sony MDRs at this price, that's for sure. I don't think they're immersive like more expensive (or more enclosed maybe? ) headphones are, but at a tenth of the price of such headphones, these are great.
If you want to hear that 40ish-Hz sub-bass, you'll need an EQ to do it, you won't get it out of the box. If you're using these at home on a Windows PC, you can use "Peace APO". And pushing those frequencies will push the drivers really hard, so you'll introduce some ducking in the rest of the frequency range, but hey... it maximizes fun!
They also come with a long (3 meters?) cable, a short (1 meter or less) cable, a choice of pleather and foam earpads (honestly, high praises for them including a choice of pads!) and these headphones also have a nifty feature of the cable detaching at the headphone. Honestly, these are a fantastic buy, Superlux have gone way above and beyond for such small money. Don't expect to be blown away by amazing sound quality, these take some time to find their ground, so give them a couple of weeks before deciding if you like them or not. They won't compete with €300 headphones, but they're only £30!
If you're broke, get these. If you can go up to about €60 maybe look at the Koss KPH30i's (if you can get them at all). The Superlux HD681EVO's are good value for money.
