Cinematic Color on Perfect Black

Picture night skies as dark as night skies themselves. Against the infinite, inky darkness of perfect black, colors pop and images come alive. LG OLED pixels are what make it all possible, each turning on and off individually for truly infinite contrast.

Enjoy the most HDR content

From brilliant brights to deepest darks, LG OLED TV offers the ultimate expression of high dynamic range. Unlike some other 4K televisions, LG OLED TVs support Dolby Vision*, optimizing the picture scene-by-scene, as well as the new backward-compatible HLG HDR standard so viewers get more options for premium content.

Note: The compatibility for HDR playback may vary by the format and country.

*Does not support Dolby Atmos. Dolby and the double-D symbol are registered trademarks of Dolby Laboratories. Dolby Vision is a trademark of Dolby Laboratories.

Final Update: I've repurchased this tv at best buy and all the issues mention were there. Keep in mind the dimming found on the oled b7 vs the x900e is real. On a 100% window of (which are things like explosions in movies)oled's ABL dims the tv down to 140nits. Not to mention the X900E has backlight boosting technology. This gives it a couple hundred extra nits of brightness compared to oled, which simply dims the image when at its brightest point. Oled is very dim with considerable motion judder, crushed black, and other huge issues. The oled b7 will fail you, and when it does LG WILL wash their hands of you, calling you negligent because they've made a bad product. Don't waste your time being afraid of using your tv correctly, just buy something better and without enjoy WITHOUT worry. I upgraded from oled to the X930E, and the AMAZING contrast will change your mind about how a tv should look. As it stands any tv has its flaws, but oled is a ginuenly defective product from start to finish. Remember oled dims to 140nits constantly in the bright scenes..were all upgrading away from the old 200 nit 1080p tvs we used to have..so why go backwards instead of forward? If you have the money go for micro led, otherwise find a nice full array tv. Both will be better options for your family than this.Update: These images show oled at max next to a high-end Sony X900E. The pictures uploaded by another oled owner had warm tones maxed out to hide the blue hue found in normal use. To prove this look at ALL the other pictures! They ALL have a blue hue to them. Also, my oled pics were taken at MAX contrast! My X900E was set to 86! I see alot of damage control, but nobody has show a side by side like I have. I bought both products and reviewed both fairly!Original review:Black Levels Didn't Save OLED 55in LG B7 HONEST Review!___________________________________________Hdtvtest,Rtings,AVS,Digital Tends,CES, and so many other publications will tell you oled is so much better than led, because of perfect black. That couldn't be more wrong. The images below show the Sony X900E, placed above the B7, and oled B7 below the X900E. I found oled to have better black levels, overall fine details, significantly better HDR,and perfect viewing angles. But that's really it. Lets be honest oled isn't perfect and nobody is willing to say these words in a review of oled. Netflix would show you this in under 15secs. The near black vertical banding was horrible. The entire time the Netflix logo was on screen, you could see strong vertical lines. The positive reviews on Amazon are really over exaggerated. Yes the blacks look amazing but come at a huge cost.Brightness is awful! Down below the X900E outperformed by massive margins in bright scenes! Let the isf Professionals tell it, and the oled beats the X900E because perfect black creates perfect contrast. Only it doesn't. Oled cannot get equally bright as it can dark, and ABL hold peak highlights back big time! HDTVTEST claimed there was no ABL on the B7 yet in the pictured below its very obvious!Colors also looked FAR more lifelike on Sony. The B7 runs very cool. So on top of being dim the white balance is pretty bad. An isf calibration won't fix this flaw. Its all about how oled was made. Colors aren't bad..but they aren't as perfect as the pros claim. Down below you'll see horrific blue color banding on this "perfect" oled.Motion was awful ! Judder is definetely an issue even with soap opera effect on! Rtings gave this a 10/10 for motion. I really don't see how at all. Its really bad for consumer use.Upscaling was the worst I've ever seen! 480p looked insanely broken! The motion processing was a mess and huge amounts of grain was present. The remote is the worst. You have to click things multiple times just to change basic settings. Ex: It takes a total of 2 clicks before you can change color one you've selected color! Basically it takes more work to do basic tasks, and the cursor is a huge fail. Its like a clunky Wii controller.Overalls, I could go on for hours but I say a picture is worth 1000 words! Look at the "midrange" Sony X900E vs the B7. I think you'll see the big picture. The LG B7 comes highly unreccomended.

Within the first year, the panel had a burnt in image and LG replaced the panel. Now, less than 2 years later, that brand new panel has discoloration and lines in the picture. Customer service won't do anything, because now its out of warranty. I bought the OLED because picture quality is important to me, and so it is very apparent when there are issues. Call me crazy, but I expect a $2,000 TV to last longer than 3 years (or 1, for that matter)! I won't be buying LG products anymore.
