Things I love in the hardware:
-The HDMI out port
-Front facing speakers which are hard to obturate because you also have left and right "sound exits", they are not specially loud but is enough for personal use
-Screen is absolutely beautiful (1920 x 1200) is just the right resolution for this screen, vibrant colors, great contrast and incredible brightness levels (you can actually use this thing at completely darkness because the lowest brightness level is incredible low) from almost screen off to "you can use this thing on a sunny day on the beach" level
-Rear/Front cameras, are actually pretty good! 5MP HDR is enough for most common situations (considering this is a tablet and not a phone), for skype calls and scanning documents is actually pretty nice.
Things I hate in the hardware:
-Power and Volume buttons, some times you have to make sure you are pressing the power button or press it twice, you don't feel like every time you press the button it will respond, Volume buttons are a little better but not that much. I think the could do a better job on these. If you buy the nvidia cover or any other magnetic cover, the power button issue may disappear as the magnetic cover will power on or off the screen, but you wil have to live with the volume button.
Things I love in the software;
-So many options in settings, things like 4K output in the HDMI, game/app optimization (yes, individually optimized)
-It is 95% android stock software, the nvidia apps really add value to the product. Also the 2 android updates that I have experienced (6.0 and 6.0.1) were delivered almost immediately by nvidia
-The console mode is a really great functionality.
-The clock/alarm built in app is awesome (not kidding)
There are other good ideas that I don't really use but are good to have, like:
-Dabbler application, it is pre loaded with some amazing drawings, unfortunately I am not a Pro drawer but some people will find that app useful.
-Squid is pre-loaded with the tablet, it is basically an app to take notes using the stylus, you can indicate the tablet the input method so there is no issues if any other part of your hand touches the screen (take that ipad pro!), the same functionality is present for Dabbler.
Things I hate in the software:
-Nothing at all, everything is at the right place
Things to consider before buy it:
-BUY A MORE THAN GOOD MICRO SD CARD, UHS-3 AT LEAST, if you are planning on downloading a lot of stuff or planning on install a lot of games in the SD, get a good one otherwise you might find issues.
-If you want it for gaming: controller is a must have, you can use other controllers (like DS4 or xbox 360 via OTG cable) but you will get the best experience in all nvidia controller supported apps with the nvidia controller, more later.
-If you want it for consume content: mini HDMI to HDMI cable is a must have (the one from Amazon basics is very good), eventually you will feel the need to use the HDMI port
-If you want it for productivity: Get the nvidia stylus, the only con is that there is no place to store it inside the tablet or the case, but the stylus will enrich almost any productivity task like taking notes, drawing things (like diagrams or pro drawings).
-If you want it for all of the above, consider at least 100 extra dollars to invest, basically controller, hdmi cable and UHS-3 sd card, I don't see the official cover worth its 40 USD, at the end you might end purchasing it or any other un-official cover, but I think the cover is up to you, since it does not deliver any major functionality than cover the front screen and hold the tablet in a good angle. Nvidia Stylus is also expensive, you might find other cheaper options, but don't expect them to work exactly the same.
Things that you might be wondering right now:
-Battery life? No worries, worst case scenario you will need to charge it overnight in a daily basis, if you use the tablet for heavy gaming or hardcore video streaming in a daily basis.
-Nvidia PC GameStream? Works smoothly as long as you have a 5ghz router and an nvidia supported graphics card (Desktop GTX600 or higher, Notebook GTX 660M, 670MX, 675MX, 680M, 700M or higher).
-Nvidia GeForce Now? What the hell is this? Cloud gaming basically, you have a liittle spot in a nvidia server to run games in the cloud (yes you don't need a gaming class pc), first 3 months are free by purchasing nvidia shield then with 7.99 per month, you can play free games like Saints Row 4, Grid Auto Sport and other Paid games like The witcher 3. As long as you have a reliable internet connection (at least 12MB downstream, 5MB upstream) and preferably the nvidia controller, you are good to go. It is a good option if you don't have a gaming pc or you don't want to pay the maintenance cost of having one (replacements, electricity, etc).
Conclusion: This tablet is awesome for almost anyone, summarizing:
If this is your first tablet and you are scared of paying a lot of money for something you don't know how much you will use, get the Nvidia K1.
If you don't have a a smart tv, get the Nvidia K1 and the hdmi cable.
If you don't have a gaming PC but are planning on getting one but you wanna try how it is before, get the Nvidia K1 and try the geforce now.
If you have kids who wanna play games or watch movies and don't want to invest a lot of money in other options, get the Nvidia K1.
If you are most of the times "on the go" and don't have some much time to play in the commodity of your couch/chair watching your tv/monitor, definitely this is for you!
Even if you have a PS4 you can use the remote play APK (I got it from xda forum, just google it) and it works!!!
For me this is a very honest product, you pay for what you want.
If you are a gaming guy this thing will fulfill almost all of your needs, no matter if you don't have a gaming pc, if you actually have it, if you have a PS4 (sorry xbox owners!) or if you don't, you get this, you'll game, that's it, more honest impossible.
To make a long story short, I own a Nexus 6P and a Nexus 9. Both supposedly high-end powerhouse devices (the 9 has very similar specs to the K1). There's been no end to the troubles I've had trying to game on either of these devices. Terrible frame rates. Overheating. Unbearable load times. To the point where I simply stopped playing.
This tablet blows both of them out of the water. Tablet performance is a lot more than clock speeds. I won't go into details here, but read about thermal throttling and flash memory performance to learn more. I've spent a few hours playing my two main game titles and had no performance problems. I did have one disconcerting crash. Not even a force close, it crashed at the Linux level. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was a one-off.
And yeah, I know this is sounding a little like an ad for Nvidia. The honest truth is that I'm pretty darn excited about finding a way to play games again.
Non-gaming is just as smooth. I used Youtube, email, hangouts, browser, screen casting (via Chromecast). All work smoothly. I'd say general purpose tasks are a little slower than on my Nexus 6P. Barely. Definitely not slow though.
Nvidia was smart about customizing Android. They did very little UI customization, but instead focused on gamer-specific features like screen record, cloud gaming, PC game streaming, and a Tegra-focused app store. While i don't have a PC to stream games from, I intend to at least try the cloud games (has a 3-month free trial) and pick up at least one of the Tegra-enhanced native games (probably Doom).
Out of the box the K1 updated to Android 6. It took quite a while as it had to go through 2 updates and reboot and then updating most of the pre-installed apps. No issues with Android proper. No crashes or anomalies at all, yet (I haven't used it extensively).
Do pick up a micro SD card. 16GB is simply not enough for gaming or if you plan to install more than a few additional apps. Amazon recommends a decent PNY 64GB. Just make sure and do a little research and get a high-performance SD card. It will make a difference since you are going to store game data on it. I opted for the model up from the one Amazon recommended. Pay attention to read and write speeds.
Android 6 has a feature where it will treat the SD card as additional memory that can be used for storing apps and app data. Worked flawlessly. For ~$20 you turn the 16GB tablet in an 80GB tablet. Quite a good deal considering how much more you pay for a tablet with 64GB of internal memory ($50-$100), if it's even an option.
Battery: people claim the battery is not great on the K1. I didn't do extensive testing but it seemed reasonable to me. Like any tablet, the battery is going to drain pretty quickly if you are gaming. Get yourself a battery pack for $30 and keep it charging while you game. Someone had posted that even on a 12W wall charger it still drained the battery in 3-4 hours. I did not have this problem. When connected to my battery pack while gaming, the device did continue to charge up (albeit slowly). Nvidia quotes the battery specs in watt hours vs. mAh, but if my math is right the K1 has a significantly smaller battery than say the Nexus 9, so you'd expect poorer battery life.
There are rumors of an X1-based Shield tablet release. X1 is the GPU in the Shield TV and is considerably more powerful than the Kepler GPU in the K1. I considered holding out for the a "Shield 2" (or whatever it will be called), but since Nvidia hasn't mentioned it at all, and the K1 is really cheap right now I decided to pull the trigger. Getting the first hardware and software rev of a device is never a great experience anyway.
UPDATE: The K1 charges faster than both my Nexus 6P and Nexus 9. It will charge up off my battery pack during gameplay, where my Nexus 9 will continue to lose battery in spite of being connected to the battery pack.

In allegato inserisco alcune foto.

Upon switching it on, it immediately updated itself to version 6 of android, it feels good in the hand, speakers are decent. Cameras are not so good, but then I use a camera as a camera. Overall highly impressed.
What's to go wrong? Well actually only one thing, the price of it here on Amazon India! This is way too costly for anyone's liking! But I had no choice as I wanted to gift this to my mom!
Finally, the 5 stars are for the tablet itself. And as for the seller, I would give only a 3. I did not feel that I could give more than this for the seller simply because of the high pricing (After all, it’s only human tendency to compare the pricing at various places & rue about it!). But please bear in mind that the packaging, delivery were all really good!
Yes, I recommend this product.
