144Hz Refresh Rate
Game with the fastest frame rate possible and ensure lag-free, smooth gaming, 144Hz refresh rate, effectively 2.4x faster than a standard display. A lower frame rate can make enemies appear to jump from spot to spot on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit. With 144Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing images on the screen that shows enemy movement in ultra smooth motion so you can easily target them. You won't have to put up with input lag and screen tearing with this AOC gaming display.
AMD FreeSync Technology
AMD FreeSync Technology provides the perfect high performance solution for gamers looking for the best gaming experience. FreeSync eliminates any tearing or stuttering by synchronizing the GPU and the monitor so frames are displayed when ready. This also ensures the fastest possible frame rates and prevents any laggy and stuttering input from the gaming mouse. Gamers can enjoy the smoothest gameplay that gives them the desired competitive edge.
Connectivity and Features You Need in a Monitor
G2460PF features VGA, Dual Link DVI, HDMI-MHL, Display Port, 4 x USB 2.0 (1 x fast-charging port), and 1 x upstream USB port (USB HUB) connections. As far as the color quality of the picture, I can't complain at all. I read some reviews that the color quality was poor and needed to be adjusted by uploading a specific color-profile. Immediately out of the box, I went into the display settings and switched from the default to the NVidia color profile and the results are satisfactory, colors are sharp and not washed out at all.
This is a great monitor for its price-point and I highly recommend it.
Color quality- Honestly in reading about tn monitors I was very worried that the the colors would be totally washed out and that my viewing angles would be awful. I was pretty happy this wasn't the case. The colors seemed great to me and I really think the only time you'd notice the lack of color quality would be if it was side by side with an ips. Other wise they look great. The viewing angles are good too. But I'd also note that I use this for computer gaming. I am directly in front of the screen 99% of time I use this so bad viewing angles are not a draw back to me.
144 hz freesync- I'm currently in the process of updating my Gpu at the moment so Ill update this portion when I get the hardware to take full advantage of these.
Why I chose this monitor- I wanted to test those 144hz free sync waters. Plus the 24 inch display is perfectly within my 22-24inch sweet spot that I enjoy. Aoc is also a very good gaming monitor brand. Also keep in mind my computer build is getting a little dated so I didn't feel I could take full advantage of some of the new resolutions so if your build is on the cutting edge I'd probably look at a 1440p or a 4k monitor. All the gamer features of this are definitely nice but if you can run it I think you would enjoy the extra pixels more.
Also good to note for anyone who hasn't done there research yet. If you have an amd gpu you want Free sync. If you have an invidia gpu then you want G-sync
+ 144Hz refresh rate
+ Very low input delay and pixel response time
+ AMD Freesync
+ Great stand and VESA mountable
HAS NOT:
- Only 1920x1080 resolution
- Only 24" diagonal
- Not IPS
- No super-slim bezels
I bought 2 of these monitors after reading this review: [...]
I recommend looking through the excellent details provided in that review.
This is the ideal 24" / 1080p monitor for me. I had been looking for gaming monitors for 4 months, and this one stacked up perfectly against my criteria.
Responsiveness. This one is among the best: 3.66ms input latency and 1ms pixel response time put it above all the other options I considered. In fact, it's so good it's not even worth valuing above something with double those numbers, since the difference will be unnoticeable. This monitor is fast, period.
High Refresh Rate. With a strong enough GPU to power it, hitting 144 frames per second is very appealing. If your PC can do better than 1080p @ 60Hz, get a monitor that can do better. This monitor can execute silky smooth game visuals at HD resolution (or higher if you enable virtual super-resolution in Radeon Software Crimson Edition).
Adaptive Sync. I hate vertical tearing, and I don't want to take the performance hit from V-sync. Adaptive sync solves that with no performance loss. There's 2 different kinds of adaptive sync, G-sync for Nvidia GPUs and Freesync for AMD GPUs. I'm on team red, so Freesync was a goal from the outset.
Stand that can rotate to portrait (and be mounted) was also on my list, but not as highly. I do computer programming, and it's nice to edit code and other documents in portrait mode.
Update: This monitor needs no extra drivers for Windows 10 when using DVI, but today I plugged it into a 280X using DisplayPort, and had to take out the CD to install drivers. The drivers on the CD didn't work; I had to download newer drivers from AOC's website.

It also comes with Freesync, but I cannot comment on how well this functions as I have a Nvidia card, which does not function with it. This isn't a major issue though, and the monitor would be well worth the price (in my opinion) even without, as due to it being 144hz screen tearing is generally less common. I'm sure it's a nice bonus for AMD users though.
There are of course better monitors you could buy out there, but if you're just looking for something cheap with that oh so important 144hz refresh rate, this is a perfect choice.

+ sehr gute FPS, Response Time, Input Lag
