Description

Release promo: 2 first episodes free!

Randal’s Monday is a graphic adventure game, featuring a classic gameplay style and a storyline full of humor. This means that getting to watch the ending won’t be that easy. The player will have to test his skills to overcome some of the obstacles he will find, but the effort will be worth it.

A kleptomaniac, a sociopath and a horrible friend. Randal is potentially one of the most scurrile protagonists since the invention of the hoverboard. Randal's Monday is a crazy space-time odyssey in classic adventure design, spiced up with countless geek culture references of the last 30 years.

Long, funny game with some issues

This would've been a 5-star game for me if it weren't for the following issues: there is no autosave feature, so at one point I lost hours of progress, and when I purchased the full version the game wouldn't load until after I restarted the phone. Also, the in-game hint guide cuts off the bottom of the text on long hints, when scrolling stops working. If you are willing to do frequent manual saves, this game is worth buying. I liked all the pop culture references, and there are days worth of gameplay, not just an hour or two, so this is a rare find.

Devs PLEASE read!

I saw this app awhile ago and thought it would be a great game too pass the day away sense it was raining and cold outside.
I tried to download it and it wouldn't. So I look and it's OVER 3 GB?? Why in the world is this file that much? I would have to delete every single app and pictures for this to download which isn't an option. Please please resize this app for people that don't have a 32,64 or 120 GB iPad! I have an iPad Air but only 16 gb and we all know, we don't get the full 16gb they claim is on here because Apple forces your u to have apps you don't want, preloaded on your new device and no way to actually delete it.
I really really want to play this game and I'm sure others do as well, it can't until you shrink your file. I can't believe it's over 3GB.
I can deal with 1 GB or even 1.5 but once a developers goes over that, it's impossible for lower memory (iPads/iPhones/iPods ) devices to download such a high GB. I will gladly change my rating once this issue is addressed.
Here's to crossing fingers and hoping they're still updating this app.

On the fence

There are things I really like about this game and some things I don’t like.
I played the first two chapters.
What I didn’t like:
Way too much talking. I never felt the talking helped me. That made it feel like I wasn’t playing, that the game was playing itself.
I felt that some of the puzzles were too multilayered, and things you would never do.
Some of the voices were muffled by the music.
The game needs an auto save, so save often.
The storyline has a vagueness.
Play on an iPad so that you don’t miss details.
On the iPhone I couldn’t see an item.
What I liked:
A tribute to 2001 a space odyssey, Futurama, Day of the Tenticle and Guybrush Threepwood.
The game played flawlessly on my iPhone 12.
The cartooning is great.
The musical tracks are excellent (albeit a tad too loud when someone is talking,) especially Black Sun.
The game doesn’t punish you for mistakes.
The book your possessions are in looks like an old fashioned comic book, well done, and the items are easy to see what they are, and a double click tells you.
A really really great rendition of a New York Subway. From the muffled voice to the tiles and mystery metal pipes that are often seen.
The up and down motion of the train, the tunnel darkness.
The game is long so a lot of game play for free (2 chapters.)
So you can see, I’m on the fence.
