It’s pretty easy to install , I will say the extenders on both sides fall out easily. But once installed, it’s very sturdy ! Works great for both dogs and kids .

Immediately stopped working multiple times

Do not buy this gate!! Seriously! Do not do it! We had a safety first tension gate for the last six years. It stopped working recently so we were in the market for a new gate and I thought this would be a nice upgrade. It was easy to install but after the first few times opening it the gate became harder to open each time. Within a day it took all of my strength with both hands to open it. By the next day it would not open at all. Given how amazing and sturdy our original safety first gate is, I wrote to customer service. While it took several weeks of emailing and multiple photos and videos of the gate not working, they did replace the gate. It was more than a month between when the first gate stopped working and we received the second gate. I installed it no problem, we remarked how amazing and nice it is that the gate just closes behind you. And then, several hours in, it got harder and harder to open each time. Exactly like last time, within a day or two it was impossible to open. Now it's been like 5 weeks of stepping over broken gates. Being broken the first time is not a big deal to me... things happen! But the exact same issue happening immediately the second time around. So frustrating!! Save yourself time and money-- just buy a different gate.

Super easy locking mechanism, swings both ways to open and shut and locks by itself.
One thing to keep in mind is to not overtighten the top mounts, as it won’t close and it’ll be tight to open. I loosened it a little (it still can’t be ripped down by the tiny hands) and it works perfectly!! 10/10 would absolutely buy again. I didn’t need the extra pieces, but saved them in case we move and need them in the future!

This gate was super easy to install. I’ve had it a few months in preparation for our little one crawling. He’s all over now! I installed this by myself with no directions. Was a little funky to get it up by myself and stay in one spot while tightening, but as soon as I tightened the top two, I got the bottoms no problem.Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2022
