This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 4.5 Stars To say that I wasn’t exactly thrilled that this book was an MMF story would be a gross understatement. I was really not looking forward to reading it. But, having read the first two books, I felt it would do a great disservice to the author to not at least give it a try. And……. wow. I will admit to you that I am not a huge fan of angst and jealousy. I feel that in some stories it has its place, but a lot of authors tend to overdo it, making it more of an annoyance than anything else. And with an MMF romance, I was expecting some to a large degree. I was pleasantly surprised, however, at what a tremendous job Ms. Kennedy did keeping it to a balanced medium and not letting it overwhelm the story. She created a unique situation between a woman and two men, and turned it in to something beautiful. Of course, with any erotic romance, there is a fair share of gratuitous sex, and Ruled goes above and beyond in this category. I actually found myself blushing several times! However, the eroticism that goes along with the idea of two men and a woman is present, and that, combined with the romantic tones of the story, makes the pairing of these three all the more enjoyable. I’m extremely glad that I took a chance on the story of Reese, Rylan and Sloan. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and felt that the story between these three characters desperately needed to be told. Bravo to Ms. Kennedy for taking her readers there and for being such a tremendous writer that even the most apprehensive reader gave it a chance and couldn’t put it down. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
