although I was kinda bummed at first it was so short compared to other books of the same genre, I found myself actually loving the fact that everything was straight to the point without a lot of unnecessary dialogue or side stories. no cheesy sex talk or unrealistic convos. I loved it from start to finish. can't wait to read the next one!

If you can’t love a tortured hero who thinks he isn’t good enough for anyone, why even read romance? Gage was perfect in his imperfections, and Skylar was imperfect in her perfections. They fit, though she had to fight to get him to see that, and then, once he messed up, he grovelled in the most wonderful way <3

This is a "powerful underdog" story, and a good steamy read.
