We play “disco dogs” where we put on light up collars, a disco ball and music through a speaker while we throw glow in the dark or light up frisbees. We live in the desert so doing things at night when it’s not hot is best during the summer. Anyway, this frisbee is a favorite, but my Corgi catches it and it gets chewed up a lot when he catches it. So they don’t last long. I love the lights, and I’d recommend them for a pet with les of a bite, or just to play with humans alone. I have to buy three of them and the most recent frisbee was destroyed within a few days. The rechargeable one is the one I’d recommend over the battery one. So consider the frisbee and what your dog’s needs are. The video is gopro from the back of my dog, as I throw and he catches and returns the frisbee. It’s fairly well lit outside with color changing lights on the patio.

Exactly what you’d expect of a frisbee, also with pretty bright lighting. Very happy with this. The electronics are resilient to normal abuse of playing with it. Biggest issue is with replacing the batteries - uncapping the battery holder is extremely difficult, but doable, although it’s definitely possible to break the whole electrical part in the process. Takes 2 super thin 3 volt round lithium batteries. The kind I bought were too thick, so only one battery would fit, but it still turned on and worked fine with just the one thicker battery.

This was the first light-up frisbee I ever purchased, and I would have to say that it is probably one of the best pieces of sports equipment that I have every owned. Here are some things I have noted about it.
1. Feel: Over the last several years I have played ultimate frisbee quite a bit, so I am used to the feel of a "pro" frisbee. I have to say that the light up version is in every bit equal to any regulation 185 g frisbee. About the time I purchased this frisbee I also purchased a standard 185 g frisbee, and I would say that I would prefer to throw the lit version to the other version. It simply seems to fly better, and I also prefer the profile of this frisbee to the standard version.
2. Illumination: I got the green version of this frisbee and have no complaints about the lighting. It is easy to turn on and off, and it is also very easy to replace the (long-lasting) battery. This frisbee is very easy to see and follow in the dark. Probably the hardest part of playing a game at night is knowing who you are throwing it to. I still haven't come up with a very good solution for this, although we have used the kids' glow sticks around the wrist with some success.
3. Quality: Five stars. I have noticed that this frisbee seems to be just slightly more flexible than a standard frisbee, but I have not found this aspect to affect quality or durability at all. This frisbee has been thrown around a lot, and while it has the usual scrapes and dings on the edge, I would say that it has held up very well. The lighting system is also still in good shape for the amount we have used it. If there is no one else to throw with, I will occasionally throw the frisbee to myself (throw it at an angle high enough that it returns to me). I will do this often as hard as I can throw the frisbee, and when I miss it, it hits the ground full force. Despite this relatively brutal treatment, it has held up well and I expect it will continue to do so.

All things considered, this thing is awesome! There is just something about seeing this thing float through the air at night that can't be had during the day. Highly recommended.

Bought this slightly over a year ago and it's been an awesome buy since!

The durability of this thing is amazing, it's been hit into brick walls and thrown into all kinds of things, and all the damage incurred is just some scratches! It bends on impact which allows it to absorb the shock without malforming or getting damaged, creatively constructed! Since it has this shock absorbing attribute, it's also a lot less painful if you get hit in the face with it or something.

It's water resistant, that's right, it's been in many a puddle and even played with in the rain without a problem!

LEDs work great, battery has lasted me many a night game without a problem yet. This blue color, though, makes it a bit fuzzy and therefore a bit harder to catch (since our eyes are less sensitive to blue). In any case, it shines brightly and is clearly visible.

And now the actual dynamics of the frisbee... this is seriously one of the best, if not the best, frisbee I have ever played with. It throws extremely well and is extremely light and not hard at all (it bends), making catching it (if you know how to properly catch one) never a painful experience. It catches the air well and isn't too bad in the wind either. It also keeps a straight flight relatively well, you don't have to be the best thrower to get this to fly straight; I've even thrown some really bad forehands and somehow it's still managed to get enough lift to fly straight.

I've recommended this to a few of my friends, and a few of my friends were using this before I got it, and everyone I know who has one has loved it. My group back home now practically has all the different colors since a lot of us bought these!

(Note: be gentle with the battery compartment on the underside, one of my friends accidentally kicked that specific part and it fell apart entirely. We managed to put it back together, but without some good adhesive, the pieces weren't as close as they were and the electric connection between the battery and LEDs would frequently die)
