About this ebook

HE’S GOT A SECRET...

Roan Gregory, one of the four owners of Pier 70 Marina, has managed to paint himself as a loner in recent months. There’s a reason for that.  And he’s got every intention of keeping that reason a secret. That is, until he no longer has the option.

HE’S GOT A SECRET, TOO...

Colton Seguine, defenseman for the Austin Arrows, has gotten good at keeping the world from finding out that he’s gay. He knows exactly what he can and cannot do. And with whom. That is, until he sees Roan for the first time and all bets are off.

SOME SECRETS ARE TOO BIG TO KEEP.

Temperatures soar when this brooding bad boy gets his first taste of this smoking hot hockey player.

Can Roan and Seg push past each other’s defenses? Or, thanks to the way the cards have been dealt, will the time they spent together prove to be just a harmless one night stand?

The final book in The Pier 70 series and for me Nicole Edwards left the best til last, yes I was sad to see this series come to end but what a brilliant book to end it on. Now it's time to put my feelings down on paper and it's one of the hardest reviews I have written and I hope I can do this book justice. I'm not going to write a review thats full of spoilers, I'm going to tell you to read this book !!! Roan Gregory and Colton (Seg) Seguine's story is an emotional roller coaster, it's about secrets, trust and most of all true love. How does a top sportsman tell his teammates and the world that he has found the love of his life but that love is another man, is the world of hockey ready for a gay player or will the press not only ruin his career but also ruin his chance of being with his soulmate, will Seg be able to come out or will he try and keep Roan his dirty secret. Will Roan allow his friends that love him unconditionally help him when tragedy strikes and he finds himself raising a baby, a baby that his family think should not be raised by a gay man...... This book made me cry, it made me angry but most of all it made me understand just what a traumatic experience it can be for a gay man admitting to the world that he has found love. Nicole Edwards covers all of these issues with compassion and this book is a beautifully written love story because let's be honest "LOVE IS LOVE" and we all deserve a chance at happiness with the person we choose to love. I thought Speechless was my favourite in this series that changed when I read Harmless. Thank you Nicole Edwards for giving us one of the best books I have read please go and one click this book you won't be disappointed. This book consumed me and there was no way I could put it down til I had read the very last word, If only I could give this book more stars...

This is the fourth and final book in the Pier 70 M/M series and I loved it. It's always sad when a series comes to an end but what a way to end it. Every one of these books I have felt was the best yet, but Harmless is now officially my favourite of the series. This is Roan Gregory and Colton Seguine's (Seg) story. What happens when a top line hockey player, who is in the closet, decides to risk it all for the love of a man? Will he be shunned by his family, his team mates, his fans, perhaps fired from his job? That is the fears facing Seg as he struggles to decide what he wants. Will he risk it all for Roan whom he believes to be his soul mate? This book evoked so many emotions in me; I laughed, I cried, I shouted with frustration, I was angry, I was sad and happy. What Roan and Seg go through is so raw at times and it made me realise just how hard life can be for a person who is gay, let alone someone in the public eye. “His mother smiled. “Whose the lucky man who brought my boy out of the darkness and into the light?” That right there brought tears to my eyes, her acceptance was wonderful; but not all conversations go like that. Acceptance is never a given and the fear Seg felt was at times overwhelming. Secrets can destroy so many lives and when Roan dug deep and explored his feelings and came to the conclusion that: “Living without this man wasn't an option. When he wasn't with him, he wanted to be. And when he was with him, Roan never wanted to be anywhere else” That said it all to me. Love is worth fighting for, no matter what!. Roan and Seg's willingness to fight for their happily ever after, overcoming some unexpected challenges, along with a few surprises I didn't see coming, was a wonderful way to end this series. In my humble opinion Ms. Edwards' writing in this particular genre is one of the best around. Her stories are full of love, romance, sizzling scenes that make you hot; the characters are well rounded and developed and her writing is exceptional. Harmless is a beautifully written love story and one I highly recommend. Love is Love!!

The men that Nicole brought together to build this family is amazing! The love and loyalty in this family is truly unconditional. That is sadly so rare, no matter your background or what kind of family you were born into or choose to be a part of. I also have to say I really love it when the characters cross over into the other series. The end seems less final to me this way.
