I have been a huge Nicole Edwards fan since I read Conviction in 2012. Conviction was the first book I had ever read that had a scene with any kind of MM interaction . From that point I knew I needed more. Not long after, I became a MM addict.
No matter what book, series or genre Nicole writes, I have loved each and every book. Fearless is no different. The storyline hooks you from the beginning. I actually had been ready and waiting for this book long before it was published. Nicole had introduced us to Dare and had me pining for him in book one of the series. Once again writing is flawless and the scenes are vividly detailed. Not only can you connect with the main characters instantly, you do the same with the secondary characters.
As we saw in book 1, Speechless, Dare was the funny prankster, but deep down you knew there was more to him. When the past comes back and surprises Dare, we are given the opportunity to see the real him and what turned him into the anti relationship guy we see in the beginning. This broke my heart but it also showed how hard he falls when in love.
Noah hasn't found anyone since Dare left. It's a regret he has never let go of. When he agrees to go on a cruise with his step sister and her friend he had no idea that she had set him up. Out of all the men who she could have set him up with she unknowingly chose Dare. This not only brought the love he never got over back full force, but other emotions as well. I really like Noah. Not only is he a hot firefighter, he knows he made a mistake with Dare. It may be several years later, but he wants the love of his life back.
The chemistry that Dare and Noah had 15 years ago is still as strong now. The sexual tension was in folds. When they finally give into their desires it is scorching. These two men are hot together. One of my favorite things while reading Nicole's books is the vivid detail of the sex scenes. No matter how many scenes of hers I have read, they never come off to me as the same or overtaking the storyline.
It wasn't a simple task to overcome the hurt Dare and Noah have endured. However, in order to be with their true love, they knew they had to put the past behind them and look towards the future.
The secondary characters I absolutely adore. It was great to see them all again and see how their lives continue. As for others who are still trying to reach their HEA, I'd like watch as they figure out where their lives are heading. I am looking forward to the next book in the series not only to see how Dare and Noah's life continues on, but also to see if Hudson and Teauge will finally get together.
If you have read Reckless then you definitely want to read Fearless. If you haven't then what are you waiting for? Start with Book 1, Speechless, you won't regret it.
