I have to say that i'm quickly becoming a huge fan of this author and her writing. I think that I must've been asleep for a bit when it came to her but I am wide awake now. Her ability to give you that small town feel romance that you crave, the sweet but domineering hero in her stories, and last but not least the feisty heroines who always know their worth.

Single mom Violet has had a rough few years but the only thing that’s making every sacrifice worth it, is looking into the eyes of her five year old son. There is nothing that she wouldn't do for her little boy and that includes having to be around her ex husband. When she comes face to face with someone from her past for the first time in over seven years, life as she knows it is about to get even more complicated.

This is the second book within the same setting that I’ve read from this author and I fell in love with the first one so much. For this one, I wanted to see more flashbacks of the past and the moment when everything changed for the characters. I needed to feel those things because it had a tremendous impact in the present and I felt like that was missing for me.

I loved that this was a best friend’s second chance romance and Violet and Jamison had a complicated messy history. Those two had a lot to overcome and even though a lot of time had passed, there were still open wounds. I wished that the main issue was talked about more because I didn't fully understand it myself, but in a way I did.

I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series and I can't wait to see what the rest of the characters are going to be up to. If you’re looking for a small town best friend romance, then you should definitely give this one a try.

This Camp Bexley series is so amazing – heartfelt, poignant, charming and inspiring. The more we learn about the tragedy the Bexley siblings suffered, the more we love them and find ourselves cheering them on. And Jamison's story is the quintessential second chance, my favorite!

After things fell apart in the Bexley family, the siblings left Camp Bexley, Jamison included, vowing never to return. The place that held so many sweet childhood memories became the place none of them could face. But since his brother, Anderson, has worked so hard to give new life to the camp, Jamison finds himself spending more and more of his time away from the big city and at his childhood home.

Growing up, Violet Hart and Jamison Bexley were best friends that turned into more, and Violet cherished the time she spent at the camp with Jamison and his family. But life got in the way and Violet and Jamison went different directions. Violet’s life hasn’t exactly turned out how she expected, leaving her a single mother now in need of a job. And it just so happens there’s a job at Camp Bexley bartending at the camp's new saloon.

There are many second chances in this one, and it made my romantic heart ecstatically happy watching it all unfold. I loved seeing Violet and Jamison rekindle their friendship and romance, and I loved watching the Bexley siblings pull together and strengthen their bond. And seeing the camp through Braydon's eyes had me reminiscing about my many camping escapades growing up.

With lots of humor and plenty of heat, the heart in this story is what elevates it head and shoulders above other contemporary romances out there. These characters have carved out a special place in my heart for themselves, and their captivating, evocative story is one you absolutely won’t want to miss.

I listened to the audiobook of this one and it was EVERYTHINGGG! This is a second chance romacne where something almost happened between Jamison and Violet. But then he pulls away. And she marries his best friend. TALK ABOUT ANGST. Now, she's back in town after divorcing her husband and she has a son. I loooooved the way Jamison and Violet were reconnected and the immediate sexual tension they felt for one another. They couldn't avoid being in each other's lives and they had to confront where things went wrong between them. SO GOOD!! And it has the small town feels and I was just obsessed. I can't wait to pick up the next two books out in the series!!

5 Tarzan & Jane Stars!! 💜

From the moment that i reached the end of one of my favorite reads of the year, Weight of Regret i couldn’t wait for more of the Bexley Brothers! This book instantly became one of my most anticipated reads. I started reading it and couldn’t stop! I couldn’t put it down and had to stay up all night until i reached the end. I loved Moments In Time so much!

My book loving heart was so dang happy to head back to Camp Bexley! I’ve been so very curious about Jamison Bexley and was so glad that he was getting his very own book!

Jamison and Violet’s journey hooked me right from the get go! I was absolutely glued to their story! The moments in our lives can make lasting impacts that leave their marks on our hearts forever. Something that two former best friends, Jamison and Violet know all too well. As they’re brought back into each other’s lives in a memorable way, can they tackle the past and the truths of their hearts?

Gah! The realness that poured from both Jamison and Violet got to me. I found myself relating to both of them on such deep levels. Getting to peel back their layers and getting the depths of their connection was something that was thoroughly riveting for me. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and off the charts! I found myself blushing and swooning with these two too many times to count! Their story brought the steam and heart for sure. These two had me feeling it ALL from beginning to end!

From the friendship, to the pain, to the bonds of family, to finding yourself, to not giving up, and all the way to the love, I fell head over heels for Violet and Jamison’s story! Jami and Vi’s story and every emotion i went through with them will stick with me for sure.

Camp Bexley is one of my favorite book places of all time! The way i can picture it so vividly in my mind while i read Weight of Regret and Moments In Time has stayed with me. So have these Bexley Brothers that continue to steal my heart over and over again! Getting to reunite with this crew had me overjoyed! I adored what all of them and Brayden brought to this story.

With Moments In Time, Ms.Allen showed how love doesn’t forget and that the journey is so very worth it! K.K. Allen created such an unputdownable and utterly fantastic novel with Moments In Time! It was one of the most unique friends to lovers i’ve ever read. Every page turn made the all-nighter i pulled devouring this book so very worth it! It’s definitely one of my top reads of 2022! There is something so special about Ms.Allen’s books and characters and how they hug the soul! I cannot contain my excitement for Benson’s book, Heart of Stone! 💜

If you haven’t read Weight of Regret and Moments In Time, you so NEED to! Trust me, these Bexley brothers are not be missed! Be prepared to fall hard for them and Camp Bexley! 💜

“Out of all the moments in time we’ve shared, I wouldn’t change a single thing because it means that we got here.”

I love an emotional, angsty romance that is full of heartfelt moments and Moments in Time delivers this in spades. I devoured this phenomenal best friends to lovers, second chance story and couldn’t wait to get back to it every time I had to put it down. Jamison and Violet were perfection!

“Friendship was safe for us. It was the only way I could be sure that you’d always be there. But we couldn’t help ourselves. I wanted all your firsts.”

Jamison Bexley broke my heart. He was such a complex character that was broken by his best friend’s betrayal. He thought he had moved on, but that illusion was shattered when he saw Violet again in the most unexpected of circumstances. I loved how big his heart was and how understanding he was.

“She was my everything. If only timing had been on our side.”

Violet was a fiercely devoted mother to her son. She had made mistakes, but she had the strength to fight for a better life for both herself and her son. She was a rockstar!!

“She was always the one I turned to and the first one to always stand by my side. It was like she knew when I needed her most, and I tried to do the same for her. No questions asked. Not even the gray lines we sometimes teetered over could shake what we had. Which is why the end of us felt like the end of me.”

I loved the flashbacks to Violet and Jami’s past relationship so we could see their relationship evolve throughout the years. They faced heartbreak together and were each other’s strongest source of strength. Betrayal ends their relationship, but you can see how their feelings never died.

“What we had was the most special thing to me. I was yours for so many years, and I loved you more than anything. I still do.”

Both Violet and Jami had to face the past in order to fully heal and have the future they both wanted. I loved watching them rebuild their relationship and grow into stronger people together. They are both resilient characters with a core of vulnerability that will endear you to them and make you fall in love with them.

“I want to be where you are.”

I am absolutely in love with all of the Bexley Brothers and Jamison is no exception. This exceptional story is full of so many beautiful, emotional moments that will break your heart and then put it back together again. Moments in Time may be my favorite book yet by K.K. Allen.

⭐️ 5 "Tarzan & Jane" Stars ⭐️
Moments in Time is a novel I was so excited about. After meeting Jamison Bexley in the previous standalone book of the Bexley Camp Series, Weight of Regret, I wanted to know more about him. This friends to lovers, single mom romance was exquisitely beautiful, yet full of heartache!

I was instantly invested in this story and its characters. Both main protagonists were so engaging. All read long, I was delighted by every new information about Violet and Jami's friendship and what led to its demise. They had such the perfect chemistry and I couldn't undersand how it didn't turned out into something more earlier. It was splendid to see the way they slowly mended their broken relationship. Their bond was so profound, real and breathtaking! Their interactions were so powerful and charged with such a potent magnetism. I loved this couple so much!

I enjoyed the overall plot line, with not only the romance growing between Violet and Jami, but the struggles they faced in their everyday lives. Their fears and doubts about the future. It was interesting to get more of the beloved cast from Over the Moon and Weight of Regret, which are set in this same world. Silver, Kingston, Anderson and Hope brought a sense of familiarity and a little humor to this novel. Violet's son, Brayden, also added some adorable scenes to the mix.

Moments in Time was a real treat and made me even more excited for the next books in the series. Benson is such an intriguing guy, and Cayson a complete mystery. K.K. Allen created such a great setting at Camp Bexley! Get immersed in this mesmerizing universe.

“I would have loved you forever, Vi … I wanted to love you forever.”

4.5 stars!

This is a gorgeously swoony childhood friends-to-lovers romance that is sweet, sexy and functional with a beautiful second-chance love story that made my heart pound and left with a blissed-out, dreamy smile on my face.

Jamison and Violet were childhood best friends, but their relationship fell apart in their early 20s. It’s now seven years later, and they see each other again in the most unexpected of circumstances – Jamison is at a client’s party when he is reluctantly dragged into a lap dance with one of the masked strippers in attendance… who just happens to be violet.

Violet is a newly divorced single mother and she’s struggling to hold her life together. She’s running her own dance business and trying to get more custody of her son, and she works as a bartender at a strip club, occasionally working private parties to get some extra money. She knows damn well who she’s dancing for, but she takes off just when Jamison recognises her but before they have a chance to actually speak to each other. So when Jamison suddenly shows up in their small home town, she knows he’s there for her.

She’s right, but Jamison is also in town to help out his family. He and his brothers grew up at a summer camp run by his parents, and it’s now been left to them. His older brother has been keeping the place going, but he can’t do it on his own, so Jamison has agreed to help out. And if it just so happens to be close to Violet, the one who got away, so be it.

Violet doesn’t belong to me. She never has, no matter the desperation I once felt to make her mine. Yet here I am, back in my old neck of the woods, chasing after the ghost of my past like there’s a chance in hell to resurrect what we once shared.

When Jami and Violet run into each other, it’s clear that they were once close. They’re not shy around each other, there’s a familiarity to their interactions, and there’s definitely a lot of emotion. Jami was so hurt when Violet seemingly walked away from their friendship and married somebody else, and she has a lot of guilt and regret about their past. She is determined to forget about it all and continue to try and get her life back on track and she doesn’t want Jami to save her, but he’s there for her just lie he always was, and when they start to spend time together once again, it’s time to finally hash out the past and admit to long-held secrets between them.

“I know what I did. I know how badly I hurt you … And I know what I lost.”

Jami and Violet have a complicated history. They grew up together and were the closest of friends, but there was definitely more to their friendship. They never acknowledged it or labelled it, but they were in a relationship, and we get to see glimpses of their past together throughout the book which show just how intimate and intense their past was.

Things are a bit murky between them in the present. I wasn’t quite convinced about the reason their relationship fell apart - it was brushed over quickly and seemed a bit weak considering the depth of the connection that they shared. But all of that was quickly swept off to the side when I saw how they were able to put it behind them and move forward into the most amazingly gorgeous second-chance-romance.

OMG, I was in a world of blissful swoon as these two finally opened up to each other about all that they were feeling – in the past, and in the present. They don’t muck around, there’s no game playing, no angst or drawn out drama, they just enjoy being back together and they embrace every single moment while revelling in all of the emotion that they have for each other.

“What we had was the most special thing to me. I was yours for so many years, and I loved you more than anything. I still do.”

I love a functional romance, there’s something so refreshing about two people being completely open and honest with each other, talking about what they want and then working to make it make it happen. The flirting and banter between these two is great, and they have such a fun and playful dynamic, and I loved watching them finally come together.

“Going a little fast there, aren’t you, Bexley?”
He shakes his head so slowly that I become mesmerized by the purposeful movement. “I happen to think the lifetime it’s taken for us to be standing right here has been excruciatingly slow.”
My heart is beating so fast. “I might have taken a little detour.”
He leans in so his mouth is a mere inch from mine. “And you’re back on track now?”
... “Without a doubt.”

The chemistry is fantastic, and the sexy time is smoking hot, and once again, they’re completely open about everything, which I loved! There’s a whole lot of sweet moments and swoony declarations, and it’s just so freaking gorgeous!

“And here I thought I’d have to work a lot harder to get you back into my bed.”
… “I don’t have the same willpower I once did. Like it or not, I’m pretty much a sure thing for you.”

“I’m certain there isn’t another man alive who could love you more than I do.”

But while Jamison and Violet are finally coming together in the way they’ve always wanted, they have a lot of things they need to figure out – firstly, Jamison is only in town temporarily and has a whole other life in the city. Then there’s Violet’s ex who seems intent to make life difficult for her, and there’s things going on with Jami’s brothers. It’s not overwhelming drama, but keeps things interesting, and works really well with Jami and Violet coming back together.

I really enjoyed getting to meet Jami’s brothers. When I started this book I didn’t realise that it was the second in a series. Jami’s older brother, Anderson, has already had his story told in Weight of Regret, and there is some continuation for him and his girl, which was really sweet. There’s a complicated history for the boys, and I’m sure we get to see more of that in the first book, so between that and Anderson’s romance, I’ll definitely be going to back to read it.

This is my first book by K.K. Allen, I and I loved it. I was invested in these characters and their story, and their romance completely swept me away. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

4.5 stars!

✅ single mom
✅ childhood friends to strangers to lovers

Violet and Jamison were best friends growing up, but they grew apart once they went to college. They reconnect years later when Jamison ends up at a spicy dance club where Violet works. He can't stop thinking about her and basically tracks her down and stalks her.... this part had warning bells going off in my head. I didn't like Jamison at first become he comes off as creepy and stalker-ish. This man needs to learn how to control his anger issues ngl... But the spicy scenes 😮‍💨🥵 Jami would literally do anything for his girl, type of guy. Overall, I enjoyed this book and can't wait for the other ones to come!!!

I love this world at Camp Bexley!! All of the Bexley brothers have had my attention but I was extremely excited for Jamison's story and his childhood love, Violet. Their story is a bit edgier than Anderson's which I loved. The push and pull between Jami & Violet is perfection, and their past mistakes, history and love for one another all add to fan the flames of what could be between them now. Their chemistry is FIRE from the start, and all the forbidden scenes between them create a slow burn that I loved every second of.

I'm ready for more of this series and can't wait for what's next! Well done once again KK Allen!!

This is my second book by K.K. Allen, and I was just as blown away this time! I was pulled into the story right away, the characters grabbed me, the story, all of it. Jami and Vi had the perfect best friend past, but it had been more than that. They had been each other’s firsts in so many ways that were so much more than just friends. And while it meant more to both of them, of course they both assumed it didn’t mean as much to the other one.

For me everything played out very realistically, without a lot of drama for drama’s sake, as well as no sudden changes of heart. The emotions had been buried deep in these two, and were always there, just waiting to come out and find the air they needed to catch fire and start their relationship back down the path it had diverged from one fateful night. The author doesn’t let us in on exactly what happened right away, or even in an info dump at any point. We’re given bits and pieces of the different moments in their path that connect the dots leading us to that pinnacle moment that broke them apart.

Even as much as her ex was a guy that I couldn’t stand for what he was doing, in the end the author made us be able to understand him, and give him some credit for being the man she’d fallen in love with at one time, who had also loved her. It made it so that he was again more realistic, and not just a villain. I mean, he had been one of Jami’s friends at one time, so there had to have been something redeemable at some point. And he was the father of her child, with a big amount of time for custody, so it was good to know he wasn’t just an evil jerk.

There was a cast of characters that I also hope to read more about. There were already two couples that I may need to look for their books, and I’ll also look forward to the other brothers getting their own stories at some point!

STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥

Violet Hart is the last person Jamison Bexley had expected to see at a high-end gentlemen's club in San Juan Islands. Yet there she is, the best friend Jami has crushed on terribly since they were younger. Now the woman he has not seen since leaving for college is right in front of him, and the feelings that Jami has suppressed for so long have come rushing back in.

Violet is not the same, however. She is a recently divorced single mother who is trying to make ends meet, juggling multiple jobs, and managing her jerk of an ex-husband. Jamison is the last person she needs in her complicated life right now.

Angst, angst, angst. I should have known from the wonderful angst-fest that was Weight of Regret that this book would follow suit. Violet has been dealt a rough hand since she left Orcas Island, but she is stubbornly independent. While her resilience is admirable, she eventually learns that it is nice to have someone in your life that you can count on. And Jamison - he tries so hard to prove that he is that person for Violet, and like a good friend and eventually lover, he steps up to show her. I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two. The flashbacks did a wonderful job of establishing their deep connection.

This is the second book in the series, so we get an update on Anderson and Hope and glimpses of the other siblings. I love that the dark emotional cloud over the Bexley siblings continues to slowly fade away in this read as they work together to rebuild their parent's summer camp. I am already counting down to the next Bexley story!

Jamison & Violet were best friends who really needed to be more since they pushed the envelope in their friendship to more but then life took a turn & Violet ended up breaking his heart in the fallout. It was so bad that they haven't even spoken in many years. From the jump, this book had the pain seeping out of my kindle that surrounded me when these two came face to face again in a crazy unexpected way. Violet is just doing her best to take care of her tiny human son after a divorce, and her ex is definitely a real pain in a**. Violet's life sure as hell didn't turn out like she imagined & she's struggling to just survive but one thing's for certain, she's going to do what it takes to keep her son healthy & happy so she does what she needs to do even if it means she works a hundred jobs. Things got complicated when she came across Jamison that's for sure because he's still so hurt about their past despite the fact that now that he's seen her, he can't stay away not to mention he decides to become her white knight that she didn't ask for since she's a strong woman. I'm telling y'all, I felt this story deep like you wouldn't believe since I know what it's like to live with questionable decisions that took me on a different path than I had intended but Violet is amazing & she owned her stuff without making excuses. Moments in Time was a story about second chances, not only with relationships with the opposite sex, but with family as well so it was a powerful read for me that I LOVED so much! One thing is for certain, Camp Bexley is a healing place that I want to be at so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After the first book in this series, I was really looking forward to this story of Jamison. In the beginning I liked it. As I continue to read, I kept thinking, what had Violet done for this pair to separate and they hadn't spoken in 7 years. They had been so close from a young age and shared so much. I started to be wary of present day Violet, when the reason came out, that is when this book lost all it sparkle. I thought it was pathetic, that after all they had been through and meant so much to each other, that was the best the author could come up with. It didn't ring true for me, I thought Jamison just accepted it to easily. He went from a 7 year broken heart to proposing in an instant. The exchange he had with his ex best friend and ex husband of Violet wasn't credible. The speech her ex husband gave her towards the ending felt fake, he had been making her life miserable, and after one talk with Jamison he had an epiphany and all was right. I felt like Jamison was doing a lot more for Violet and I didn't feel she did much for him. I have read several books from this writer, and have enjoyed them, she has a lovely writing style, but the plotting of this book failed miserably and none of it seemed credible to me. Going by other reviews, I am alone in this thought. I wish I could have enjoyed it like other reviewers, but sadly that wasn't the case.

Things at Camp Bexley are heating up with the second book in the series!! Jamison Bexley is back and one encounter with the woman who obliterated his heart has him sticking around for more than just family!

Moments In Time is part of a series but can be read as a standalone (you will just get some spoilers from book 1). This story follows Jamison and his ex-best friend/first love Violet. They have a steamy chance encounter after years apart and it leads to Jami wanting more. He wants answers and he will do what it takes to show Violet how good they are together.

This book does have flashbacks but they are perfectly placed and truly add to the story. You get the foundation of Violets and Jami’s friendship, how tight their bond was and what lead to their demise. You see both truly grow and learn from their mistakes. You will also get so much angst and steam because these two were destined from the start.

I have been reading KK since pretty much the start. I have read every book of hers and can say that her writing has only grown. The way she creates her stories allows them to pull you in and keeps you captivated. You feel a part of the story and can feel each characters emotions. I am addicted to her stories and can not recommend them enough.

Jami and Violet are full of passion and I couldn’t help but fall for these two characters. Their journey, their love and you can not forget Violets amazing son. It all just added to the story and I didn’t want the book to end.

“You are my soulmate.”

Oh my WOW! I just read my first romance by K.k. Allen and I was rendered soul-struck … so smitten .. so swept away by Moments in Time. The writing weaves a spell, painting a vivid picture while mesmerizing the mind. I was in awe of this second-chance romance that held my heart the whole time reading.

Moments in Time is a deeply told and emotionally-entwined saga of soulmates and second chances. The hero and heroine are undeniable with a connection so fierce that it just radiates throughout the story. Violet and Jamison are two kindred spirits with beautiful hearts who, like stars in the night, shine together as one—always finding their way back to each other. I fell so hard for them both.

You can’t help but believe in the power of love while reading the heart-melting Moments of Time. Its message resonates with the hopeful romantic in all of us: true love always finds a way. It’s about never giving up on love that’s always remained, one forged by fate and cemented by soulmates.

All love stories should be like Jamison and Violets’ … a soulful, everlasting romance with a fire that never stops burning. Simply magical! This steamy, dreamy delight of a second chance romance brings the feels. Prepare to be enamored with Moments in Time, the kind of story that sticks to your heart and stays.

Jamison may be my new favorite Bexley brother after reading this. Holy smokes the angst was off the charts for the majority of this story, and I found myself cheering him on.

After seven years away from home, the accident with Cayson brings Jami back to camp Bexley to help his brother Anderson out with the newly renovated camp. After spotting Violet his childhood best friend at an after-hours event dancing, he makes it his mission to find out if she is okay.

Violet has been having a rough year and all she can focus on is getting her and her sons lives back on track after her divorce. She spots Jami and all the hurt from the past comes rushing in. Seven years have passed since a single event changed both of their lives and the hurt, they both have experienced is still as fresh as it was in the past.

Jami and Violet were the best of friends growing up and thought they would be together despite never putting a label on what they had because what they shared was more. Miscommunication and a life altering tragic event stole the ending they both saw for themselves and now they are fighting to fix the hurt of the past and start a new forever.

Violet is such a strong character in this story and she does what so many women do and puts herself and her happiness last, this makes her stronger in my opinion because she is so real. Jami is the best guy friend you had in high school that you were too scared to make a move on because the fear of rejection is real. His character is so true to guys that I know and that makes him so likable.

This story will have you believing in the power that soul mates do exist and sometimes timing really can be wrong. It can be a right person wrong time situation or a missing piece of the puzzle to complete it situation but if you just have faith things will turn out exactly as they are supposed to.

This is a great story of second chances and true love. K.K. Allen once again captivated me with a wonderful story.

Violet and Jamison were the bestest of friends growing up. Being there for each other in the good and bad times. Many times crossing the lines of friendship but never fully committing themselves to one another. Bad decisions and circumstances drives this couple away.

Years later Jamison in back in town and he finds Violet in the most unexpected encounter. She is now an exotic dancer trying to make a living after her divorce. She is a single mother who is finally taking ownership of her life as a woman.

The attraction between Jamison and Violet is stronger than ever and the loved they had for each other still there but there is still too much resentment, guilt and unfinished business between them. This book takes you through past encounters to give you a better understanding of what went wrong for them in the first place.

But their time together has and expiration date, Jamison is just in town to help with his family business and Violet's life is in this town. Will they be able to beat all adversities and live the live they always imagine growing up? You have to read and find out, you'll love this story and Jamison's dirty mouth lol.

If you love second chance romances or friends to lovers stories you will love this emotional, heartwarming journey. Moments in Time is single mum Violet Hart and Jamison Bexley’s story and it all happens in the small town of Orcas Island Washington.
Violet is not happy to be working for Jamison at Camp Bexley because of the history they share, she believes he broke her heart but truth be told she was the one that got away and he never really got over her. Building walls around herself to protect her and her son means Jamison was always going to have an uphill battle to try and win her over so will this time around give this couple a HEA…….
I was captivated from the first few pages and there was no putting down until I had read the final lines, I adored Violet and I fell hard and fast for Jamison but what took this book to another level was the love, the emotion and the witty banter which is evident throughout this great read.

Universal

Violet and Jamison were once best friends. Things happened, though, and it's been years. Circumstances have changed, their lives have changed, when a chance meeting in not the likeliest of places happens and suddenly they're on each other's radars. All Jami wants is to make sure the only woman he's ever loved is alright. All Violet wants is for life to get a bit easier. Is their timing right now, finally? Right for their love to flourish?

So much heart. I loved Violet and Jami! He's atypical in romantic fiction, with a vulnerable side not many male characters are drawn with, and let me tell you, I loved it about him. And so did Violet. He was her best friend again, and only showed that vulnerable side to her, she was the one he trusted, the one he loved. If any two best friends deserved more than just friendship, it is these two, and I loved every word of their story.

I adore how Allen weaves a story through the past and present, especially when it's a story about a couple rekindling a past relationship. Moments in Time is blended together with precision and care that melted me to a complete gooey mess.

I love this kind of story where I have the burning questions of what went wrong in a couples relationship in the first place, because to go wrong something was essentially going right at one point in time. I love discovering each piece of the puzzle and how it all unfolds as the couple slowly reconnects. It may seem painful, but it's really like eating the best dessert really slow.

For Jamison and Violet up until seven years ago, their entire lives were very connected. They were best friends who eventually became more, so their sizzle was off the charts right from the get go and their story was ripe with tension. As we get to know both of them we are privy to moments of friendship, family, hardship and so much more. Their past, present, and eventually what could be their future all connect in a beautiful story that is wonderfully written.

Interconnected to other Bexley stories there are Bexley siblings galore and this book and your reading enjoyment will be enhanced knowing who they are. However, if you are unfamiliar with any of the other books this is still a great second chance romance to read as a complete standalone.

Moments in Time is Allen's newest interconnected standalone romance featuring the Bexley brothers. This book centers around Jamison and his high school best friend, Violet.

Violet and Jamison had been best friends growing up and well into college. They supported one another and were there for each other through everything. They also even shared firsts with one another. Then one moment happened and that destroyed everything between them.

I won't go into much detail as I enjoyed not only the story but these characters so much. I really enjoyed getting to know both of these characters as individuals, as best friends and as a couple.

Moments in Time is told in both past and present from both Jamison and Violet's POV. Allen gives readers a well-rounded look into this story and I truly enjoyed it. It was like walking down memory lane with two of your closest friends that reconnected later in life.

This was another beautiful story from Ms. Allen and I cannot wait for the next Bexley brother.

5 star Review of Moments In Time by K. K. Allen
Moments In Time was a well written, emotional, second chance at love, friends to lovers story that will draw you in and keep you invested from the first chapter to the last. Set in the small town of Orcas Island, Washington.
I enjoy single parent stories and this one ticked all the boxes for me. Violet Hart is now working at Camp Bexley but she is not happy as Jamison Bexley has returned to help make the camp a success and he is the man who once broke her heart.
Can Jamison break through the walls that Violet has surrounded herself with and in doing so convince her to take a chance on love? I loved these characters, both separately and especially together and was cheering for them to get the happily ever after that they both deserve.
I loved watching their story unfold, there is such emotion, heat and witty banter and I enjoyed the interwoven past and present as the story progressed.

4.5 stars - This was a fab read!

"Friendship was safe for us. It was the only way I could be sure that you'd always be there."

They were the couple that never were.

When Jamison Bexley sees Violet Hart for the first time in seven years, it's not how he would have ever imagined it. However, there's no mistaking that she affects him much like she always had before. Growing up, they were each other's best friend. Their close friendship blurred the lines often as they grew older, but circumstances and a mistake eventually broke them. Now, Violet's life is very different to how Jami believed it to be, but as their lives become entangled again, there's no way he's letting the only woman he's ever loved slip through his fingers again.

"I love you, Vi. I loved you then, I love you now and every moment in between."

The chemistry between Jami and Violet was intense! I enjoyed how we got glimpses of their past as the present unfolded. Violet was a strong woman striving for financial independence, and I loved her boldness. Jami might have looked like a god, with confidence in spades, but I thought his vulnerability shone through. His love for Violet was apparent in everything he did, said, and remembered. This was a fab read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: second chance
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

What a wonderful second chance romance! KK Allen is a newer to me author as I had only read the first book in the series. Frankly, I didn’t care for the first book, but was so in love with the dynamics between the brothers and their overarching story arc of finding their way home, that I wanted to give this book a try anyway. And I’m so glad I did! Great second chance story with a couple that had such great history and past story. It was angsty without feeling contrived. They had tons of chemistry and they really just felt right together. The story is beautifully written and moves quickly. Super invested in all these brothers and their happiness!

KK Allen is an instant read author for me. So when I get the chance to get an advanced read of her books I jump for it.

I loved to see the flashbacks to Violet and Jamison’s life before their 7 year separation. As well as the growth for many characters not just the main characters but side characters as well.

I do recommend you read Weight of Regret before reading this but it isn’t required as each book can stand on its own. The next Bexley brother graces this world in Heart of Stone releasing September 27, 2022!

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC, this review is my honest thoughts on the book.

Sweet, down home and completely irresistible! Moments in Time returns us to Camp Bexley with the Bexley Brothers and the ladies that steal their hearts.

Closed off, heartbroken from a lost chance of love and missing his family, Jamison Bexley returns back to Camp Bexley and to memories of the only woman he's ever loved. A happen chance meeting with a masked dancer brings Jami face to face with Violet Hart and he knows that he can't let her get away again.

I couldn't have liked this story more! Jami and Violet know they're meant to be together and the way they work together to finally have their HEA is one of the sweetest stories I've ever read.

Jamison and Violet were childhood best friends and things got complicated with them. It’s a very slow burn with glimpses of the past but in my opinion it doesn’t really clarify when and how things went left with them. I was a bit confused as to why they lost touch but then you get a glimpse. When they run into each other 7 years later he still realizes that he has feelings for her. She was in a complicated relationship but she still had feelings for him too. They had their moments and it wasn’t easy for them to be on the same page but they got there. His siblings were awesome and added to the dynamics just like a special person for Violet.
