    Bat-Excellence ,

    A nice, decent origin

With the CW show "Arrow", it's a great time to be a Green Arrow fan. In fact, if you're following the show, then you've probably noticed one of the characters names is Diggle, who's named after the writer of this comic, Andy Diggle. I had a good idea that the show drew influence from this book. But at first, I didn't see why. So I bought the book from Barnes and Noble to see why. I read it and realized why. The bits where they show Oliver on the island on the show slightly resembles the events in this book. So let's get to the stuff I like and don't like.

    The stuff I like:

1.) The artwork. Jock's artwork matches the tone of when Oliver was trapped on the island. This is the first full story with artwork by Jock that I've read, so this is a good introduction.
2.) The originality. Before I read this book, I was thinking that the entire comic was going to be about Oliver trying to survive on the island, and only that. But I realized that it wasn't just about that when I read this. They show an entirely different way about he ended up on the island, finds out about drug trafficking on that island, and trying to save a whole village of people who live on the island. It had my attention throughout the entire book.

    The stuff I don't like:
Nothing. This comic is a great way to get into the Emerald Archer's comics if you've been watching the show with no real knowledge of the character. If that person is you, check this comic out from your local library and decide for yourself.
