I've tried a lot of different sunscreens; continuous spray as well as lotions, and no matter what ANY of them claim (dry touch etc.), they are all sticky, slimy or just not really pleasant. A friend told me about the EWG site so I decided to order the top two safest continuous spray brands. MD Solar Sciences [spf 40], and L'Oreal Sublime Sun [spf 30].
Did a side by side comparison yesterday (MD on my left side, L'Oreal on my right). Within 10 minutes or so, the MD was so dry it was like I almost didn't have any sunscreen on at all (though I was LIBERAL with the spray). The L'Oreal side kept that "bacon grease" slime effect (even though the can says right on it - "non greasy").

Caveat: if you spray the MD Solar on at the beach, in the wind, and apply to your full body, you will be lucky if you get a partial second application before the bottle is completely empty. My solution is to apply everywhere I need protection while I'm still at home. With the exception of my shoulders, which get the sunscreen rubbed off by my backpack - I don't need to re-apply anywhere - for an entire day (11 am to 6 pm) in the summer sun, and no sun gets through. That includes going into the ocean multiple times. To apply to my face I spray on my hand and rub on my face - being extra careful to get a full coating on my nose.

This stuff is absolutely worth it if you're like me and hate the greasy slimy feel of other sunscreens, and don't want to continually re-apply. Even the sand didn't stick to me like it always did before with other sunscreens!

I've been using this for about a month now and love it. I live in Southern California and spend at least 1.5 hours per day outside playing soccer or running. I use this everywhere but on my face as I prefer the MDSolarSciences mineral creme with zinc for that specific area. Even though it's winter, the sun here is intense and hot. Since I've started using this I have yet to get sunburned whereas I used to still get tan or red while using other sport sunblocks. I do not feel sticky or greasy when I apply it and haven't noticed any issues with skin irritation. I like that it's quick and easy to apply- don't need to spend time rubbing it into my skin. I just bought a couple more cans of this and will continue using. Definitely recommend!

Quick dry spray-ons like this make application so much easier for both kids and adults. However, most of them contain all kinds of chemicals that have been shown to be carcinogenic. I searched for a relatively safe spray-on and this works beautifully. It stays on well in water or sweating, applies easily to dry skin with a really fine mist. The top cap twists to prevent spraying when not intended.
We typically use a physical block on my children's faces (for example, Badger with zinc), but if you need to, this can be easily applied to the face by spraying into hands first, then applying. We also use Kinesys spray-on, but this is much easier to apply.

The spray pattern and coverage is the best I have ever seen on a spray bottle. Also for a continuous spray this is one of the more chemically harmless ones. It is still not as safe as the better lotion varieties but easier to apply. It also goes on very dry and not oily at all. I couldn't tell I had sunscreen on after a minute or so.

It isn't all rosy though. The bottle doesn't last long especially for the price. Ours ran out after three full days of fishing with a couple fellows and we only use this on a few spots since we are pretty covered up. I would probably burn through a bottle of this in one day at the beach with my wife and a kid. This sunscreen also doesn't last as long which is why it goes quickly. I found myself having to reapply far more often than the lotion or more harmful sprays.

Ultimately it is all about trade offs. If you want something relatively safe, easy to apply and willing to spend the premium this sunscreen is a solid choice. If you are looking to stretch your dollar. Look somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite, if not favorite sunscreen. I am very fair and absolutely HAVE to use sunscreen if I go out in the sun. MDSolarSciences is a company I trust. This spray does not have Oxybenzone in it, which is a plus for me and my go to for a relatively safe spray.
Good coverage, doesn’t leave an oily residue and scent isn’t overbearing. Worth the extra money.

The rating of this product as a sunscreen that is good for the skin is what motivated my original purchase. After using it for several weekends where i am outdoors and in and out of the water a lot, the product provided me the level of protection I was hoping for. Definitely will be buying more.

This body spray sunscreen is worth the money to me because of the delivery of the spray and the feeling of the product on the skin. It goes on very evenly and widely. I never feel I am wasting the product. It dries quickly and best of all it works. Never had a sunburn with this product and I play tennis in sunny SoCal all the time.

Easy to use. Have not experienced any issues with clogging. Great protection, no burning, and has lasted well for me.
