Lian Li cases are my standard. I own a small business and we build all our PC's. The Lian Li cases are all the best quality with many small features that make a build easier. Access to sections to install components is easy, without sharp edges. Many of the sections have thumb screw access, adding another notch of quality. This wave of Lian Li cases even has plastic washers on the thumb screws to protect the aluminum case from scratches when tightening the thumbscrew.

I like this case design that directs the hot air towards the front of the case. The front of the PC is typically open allowing the heat to escape easier. There are two 120mm fans, one in the front and one in the back of the case. The power supply (PS) is mounted at the front of the case, on the bottom. The PS pulls its cooling air from below the case, through a filter screen. This provides cooler air to the PS, allowing it to operate more efficiently than pulling warmer air from the interior of the PC. You can still access the PS on-off switch by removing the front panel of the Lian Li case, which can be easily removed without tools. Even the PS is mounted with thumbscrews!

I like the mid-tower case size. I rarely install anything beyond the bare necessities in my PC's, so there is more than ample room. There are 2 grommet holes in the back panel for liquid coolers and a removable panel in the top of the case to install a 140mm fan, both features in response to builders that want more cooling options.

For less than $100, this is a quality case that should last years and several generations of new or upgraded components.

I love Lian-Li cases but I wish they'd provide a few extra standoffs for the main board. I was 2 short for my board and they weren't the standard size I've seen in many hundreds of PCs. I have lots of spares for standard mounts. It also looked like the instructions said to use thumbscrews on the main board? That's very strange to me. So one point deducted for unclear instructions and non-standard threads on the main board mounts.

I have 5 computer systems in the studio and home. I have them wrapped in Lian Li cases as I LOVE them!
Pros:
Light weight
Solid build (Who ever is claiming these are thinner material is just blowing smoke, or is using some .0000001 accurate gadge that there maybe something). Otherwise they are solid and nice strength. When the rig is loaded, you can expect to use 2 hands, and even 1 handed with holding inside of case of one side. Also, there are hardly any sharp edges. 1 I thought to claim as sharp was in the HDD cage that you can I guess claim as sharp, but not really unfinished. Also my unit had rubber feet.
BEAUTY: I don't like cases that look like the BS Star Wars is all the BS of space tech. SO simple clean smart lines is what is best for me.
-------
CONS:
1. Not smart to have OLDER model cases like the PC-A05N, Very much like this case, which can take a modular 800W power supply. And now this new model NOT be able to take even a 700w PSU.
2. Its 2017-2018 Now! I have used SSD drives for almost a full decade. Why not have at least 2-3 trays for SSD drives?! It has 1 tray and it works with a Patriot tray, but a Samsung tray is a 1mm-2mm OFF to fitting. For SSD there SHOULD be a better, simpler secure design! Unacceptable.

These 2 are my only issues, BUT the PSU is a big one! Its a fail for serious PC users, and this case is for the mature PC user.
The tray is also a serious oversight..Should be giving the current tech for a $150+ mid tower case. I see it listed now for $228!
I have it and I was able to use it for someone else. Otherwise this would go back and I would not buy for over $70. Newegg has it smartly at $65.

So I hope Lian Li updates the older A05N with 3 SSD Easy slots. with multi USB3 front as this model has and STILL support mod PSU, and you have a winner worth $95-120.

still my favorite case. extremely light when empty and reasonable weight when all components are installed. reasonable room for expansion. it is excellent for budget systems and high end systems. in the last 5 years, this is the only case I have bought consistently. tried others but returned.

Top of line quality! I have built hundreds of high performance PC's and this case is among my favorite. Aluminum is an excellent heat sink and the bottom mounting power supply makes for highly aesthetic cable routing.

I love Lian-Li cases, and this one is no exception. I had to get used to the idea of back-to-front airflow, but so far I've had no issues with cooling. I really like the mounting for 2.5HDs that take almost no space in the case. This is an amazingly workable case for a mini.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una caja de gran calidad

This is surely one of the most attractive cases, and has the high build-quality you associate with Lian-li (it's my fourth). How it differs from the usual mid-tower Lian-lis is in its size and finish. Top to bottom it's just the size of an ATX motherboard, and the finish is a matte black, not the piano black that is a magnet for fingerprints.
Because of its modest size, it's almost mandatory to install CPU, cooler, graphics card and memory to the motherboard OUTSIDE the case first. Connect the 24-pin and 8-pin power connectors, short the power pins on the front-panel connector block, and if it POSTS you're laughing. I wouldn't want to assemble the system completely in the case, switch on and nothing happens; if all the front bays and hard-drive bays are filled, there's not a lot of room to locate the problem easily. If you tested outside the case you know the expensive bits are good! And there's nothing else that can wrong anyway.
Although the case comes with two 120mm fans, and I stuck a 140mm in the removable plate on top, there's a 120mm fan in the PSU, a cooler fan, and a GPU fan, this is the quietest system I've had in 27 years; if it didn't have a power-on blue LED, you wouldn't know the system was switched on.
Two 5.25" front bays is enough for most (does anybody want more than two optical drives?), and the 3.5" front bay is very useful, for a card-reader and extra USB ports for example. Space for three spindle hard drives, and a clever solution for solid-state drives--keyhole-type cutouts on the case floor for mounting the SSDs flat with grommeted screws. I can't find anything negative to say about this case. But because of its smallish size you'd be wise to think of a modular PSU, to minimise cable crowding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sauber verarbeitetes Alugehäuse. UPDATE
Reviewed in Germany on June 11, 2013

5.0 out of 5 stars Super !

ATTENTION : IL N'Y A PAS D'ALIMENTATION D'INCLUSE!
---------------------
