My first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. It's well written with good characters and an engaging story. I would have liked an actual epilogue giving more of a birds eye view of their future together. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author and would recommend this book.

This was a pretty good story. I liked Kadence and Nix and enjoyed seeing them get together, especially since Kadence is a feisty heroine that takes no crap from Nix and Nix is a slightly overbearing, bossy alpha male who won't take no for an answer. Their interactions were sometimes fun and often hot and always interesting. This is the first book I've read by this author (according to Goodreads it's her first book) and based off this I'm likely to try more of her work in the future.

Kadence is a teacher at an elementary school. She lives with her best friend, Holly and her parents live out of town but close. Kadence was hurt in a fire because of some crap her fiancee (who is now an Ex) was in to and she still carries the scars from that. She's had a hard time trusting and opening up to a man since then.

Nix is the president of the Knights Rebels MC. The MC had been started by his father and friends but got into illegal crap that brought a lot of misery. Nix led the MC into being legit, opening businesses and being part of the community. The only thing they do that's outside of the law is make sure no drugs come in to town. Nix is the father of Zayden (aka Z) who is in Kadence's class. Nix and his wife are divorced and he wants nothing to do with her past parenting Z.

Kadence had to break up a fight between Z and another boy in class and both their parents had to be called in. She called Z's mom so was surprised to find Nix arriving late, annoyed because his ex had just called him 5 minutes before to tell him about the meeting. When Nix walks into the classroom and Kadence sees him she's wowed but thinks that Nix is trouble just waiting to happen and determined to resist him no matter what. Kadence proves she has a backbone and that just turns Nix on as he likes women with spirit. They split ways but Nix has a hard time forgetting Kadence and she has a hard time forgetting him as well. They happen to meet again at a community fair where the MC is volunteering and sparks fly again. Kadence does a good job at fending off Nix but that just seems to get her more firmly embedded under his skin so he needs a taste. When they run in to each other the next time, Kadence is on a (rather boring) date who Nix proceeds to chase off. More sparks fly and Kadence shows she's not afraid to express her displeasure with Nix's actions in a very forceful way. Regardless of this, they do end up going home together for a night of fiery passion....which Kadence sneaks out on before morning, pissing Nix all the hell off.

Nix and Kadence both feel a connection to each other, being together feels natural. Nix never thought to get married again and isn't sure if he wants to but he finds he can't forget Kadence and can't get interested in other women. Kadence is scared of the connection between them and opening up to someone so she tries to keep Nix at arms length, using her place as Z's teacher as an excuse for them not to get involved...not that Nix lets that work for long. Things start out a bit tumultuous for the couple but things do steady out (eventually) and they both stop fighting it and come together. There are other issues that keep them busy even as they're trying to figure their new situation out. Kadence's Ex shows up in town and he has ties to a drug kingpin and is out to cause trouble for the MC. Also, Nix's Ex-wife is a problem and Z is having issues that need to be dealt with as well. Nix and Kadence deal with the drama and some unexpected danger and some out stronger in the end and ready to start their HEA.

I found this story to be very enjoyable. I liked the characters and the interactions between them. The story was pretty good and worked for me but what really kept me engaged was the unfolding relationship between Nix and Kadence. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I'd recommend this book. :)

After finishing Incandescent, I can't believe I waited so long to read it. There was really no reason that I didn't other than my TBR is over flowing but now I'm hooked and don't want to stop. I had some friends that said I would love it and I absolutely did. It seems that River Savage knows exactly what I want out of a romance and put it all into this story. Everything about Nix and Kadence pulled me into the story and didn't let go until the last word. Well that's not completely accurate. I'm still thinking about the Knights Rebels so I guess they still haven't let me go.

Kadence is a an elementary school teacher and one of her students has been having trouble lately that is out of the norm. When his father comes in for a meeting, she has no business lusting after him but Nix inspires thoughts that Kadence has spent the last 3 years trying to ignore. After finally moving beyond her traumatic past, Nix is the exact opposite of the kind of man she thinks she wants in her life but Nix isn't taking no for an answer. The president of the Knights Rebels MC is drawn to the professional beauty and finds himself not letting go without a fight.

Incandescent balanced the suspense with the budding romance perfectly. I was fascinated with each characters backstory and how it affected their lives currently. Both characters had pasts that needed to be overcome but there wasn't any unnecessary angst or drama. I also adored the back and forth between Nix and Kadence. It was silly and steamy and showed the best sides of each of them.

My favorite kind of heroine is one that sassy and strong willed but kind and knows when to submit. That was Kadence. On the flip side, Nix was an alpha male but one that was cognizant of Kadence's boundaries. He demanded things but never ones that Kadence couldn't give. They complimented each other beautifully. A side note: when Nix told Kadence, "You ruin me, woman." I died dead. Swooned right into the floor and had to mop myself back up. Add to that the scorching hot sex scenes and I was a blushing, sweaty mess (but only in the best way possible.)

I'm also a sucker for books with single dads and watching Nix with his son Z made my heart all melty. Add in the cast of secondary characters and I was chuckling out loud at their crazy antics and sighing at all their sweet ways when things got real for Kadence. I am absolutely desperate for the next book and finding out what in the world his happening with Sy and Holly. I have to know. Honestly I'm desperate Sy's story. He's so mysteriously mysterious.

The only question I still have is in regards to Z's mom. That part of the plot line seemed to kind of just disappear and I wanted more from that. I don't feel like I got complete closure or even understood everything that happened (but to be fair it really doesn't affect the plot or the resolution of the story). That said, this story was brilliant. Brilliantly written. Brilliantly paced. and Brilliantly developed. I can't wait to see where River takes the Knights Rebels next.

It was a good read and I liked the story, even if he went more than once, way over the top, wiht his
cave man style.
Well, she is a goner from the beginning she sets eyes on him and he can't believe that a propper teacher like
her would have so much fire beneath her skin. They are a good match for each other and I really liked how they
had a hard time getting together, but when it happend...ohhhh hot.
The story with her ex was a little shady, I had the feeling it did not really fit in the other story somehow...
but otherwise a pretty well written MC story...and if you like MC stories, alpha males and smart, pretty woman.....
then give it a try

Incandescent é o 1ª livro da série 'Knights Rebels MC', e já posso dizer que a série me conquistou.
Os personagens deste livro foram tão divertido de ler. Nix é o típico macho-alpha-boca-suja, que não aceita um não como resposta principalmente de Kadance. Sua boca suja e sua atitude tipo homem das cavernas vai derreter seus corações.
Kadance é a professora doce, e ao mesmo tempo teimosa e turrona.
Quanto ao enredo vemos uma visão totalmente diferente sobre a vida dos MC que estamos acostumadas a ler. Nada de tiroteios, drogas ou orgias na Knights Rebels MC. Aqui temos um clube reformado e na linha.
Além disso, River Savage fez um ótimo trabalho introduzindo todos os personagens neste primeiro livro da série.
O 2º é sobre Holly e Sy que completamente me laçaram, eu mal posso esperar pelo livro deles.
Leiam e se deliciem com Nix. Um dos melhores livros que li este ano.

Just wow! This author is amazing! My all time fav biker romance novel was Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley but this book just knocked it out of first spot! If your a fan of KA, I urge you to get this book because it was everything Motorcycle Man was but magnified! The heroine is snarkier, sassier, stronger, and isn't afraid to talk dirty to her man! Our hero was hot and could sure take a lot of hits from our heroine and not back down. It also had great supporting characters that I can't wait to read about and sex scenes were hotter than the ones in Motorcycle Man!
Overall it was such a great story, very well written, perfect balance of romance, action/suspense, and the right amount of sex scenes so the story was neither lacking any or being overpowered by too many!
