Down and Dirty

I enjoyed this "Hot Jocks" story. It's a good read that is sexy and steamy. This is such a fun story. I love the characters and the plot is very interesting. Landon and Bree are so perfect for each other if he can convince her. This story features an older lady and younger man that find themselves testing the chemistry and waking up married in Vegas with a twist.

Down and Dirty is book 5 in the Hot Jocks series, but can be read as a complete standalone, featuring an older woman/younger man story line with an unexpected Vegas wedding thrown into the mix. At this point in the series, we’ve come to fall in love with an array of couples. But this story gives us Landon, a young and sexy rookie on the Ice Hawks, and Aubree, a mature and career-driven siren. As opposite as they appear on paper, the story line weaves their characteristics and personalities together beautifully, capturing the readers attention from the start. For me, Landon was the absolute star of the book and completely won me over through the entire story. His drop-dead sexiness and adorable charm, coupled with his *ahem* innocence, made him an irresistible bouquet in desperate need of deflowering. His commitment to Aubree was downright swoon-worthy, melting the hardest of hearts with just a few simple words spoken. It’s no wonder Aubree didn’t stand a chance against his alpha-romance. Their attraction and chemistry was evident immediately, but it was the transition from friends to spouses mixed with the emotional ties they formed together that truly caught fire and made the story shine. I really enjoyed this book and it complements the series wonderfully. It’s a sweet, fun, and entertaining sports romance with the perfect balance of humor, drama, and heartwarming emotions. A definite page-turner, Down and Dirty sets up for what’s next to come in this must-read series.

4.5⭐ Down and Dirty was a cracking read, and one that grabbed me early on, especially after Landon and Aubree wake to realise they have become a cliché and drunkenly married in Vegas, and I loved how Ms Ryan took that cliché and put a whole new spin on it, then added in the fact that Aubree is older and Landon a virgin. But those two details were never belaboured and the story just naturally flowed, as Aubree and Landon dealt with their drunken moment in Vegas, and boy did I enjoy how they dealt with it, especially Landon who is 100 percent determined to stay married and to start dating his wife. Furthermore, Landon was such a down to earth, delightful guy and Aubree with her sass counterbalanced him perfectly and honestly, when they finally came together their chemistry was through the roof and so much fun to read. And as somebody who has admittedly dipped in and out of the Hot Jocks Series, I never once felt like I was missing out or out of step with the numerous characters featured. So if this is your first introduction or your fifth, don't miss out on what is an utterly charming, sweet and, absorbing romance. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review**
