Does The Trick But Low End Is Thin
AW Used - Acceptable arrived in what looks to me as new condition. Couldn't find a mark on these.1st impression is lots of plastic. They feel very cheaply made and looking at the thinness of the various plastic pieces on these I question durability as I can't see these taking any falls or bumps without breaking. I guess my head is odd size as well as these don't fit as well as I had hoped but still usable but things get hot fairly fast with them on.Audio quality is a mixed bag. The mids and highs sound rather good but bass is just mediocre at best. Mic works great.I guess if you can get them at a good price they certainly will do the trick but wish the bass was a tad bit better.

Not sure why there's a lot of hate for these headphones.... These are pretty good. Surprised with the bass they put out. Some EQ settings and I am pretty happy with these.

So, I did have a little hiccup initially. My first set I ordered did have a mic issue. I simply contacted support and requested a replacement. They sent it right out. Dropped off the old set at Kohl's and this new set works great.

Good sound. Good bass. Mic could be better, but hey, it works. Going to get some mic foam for better quality. Mind you, I did get these when they were on sale for under $10. So, yeah, I'm happy.

I wasn’t expecting too much but am really surprised how good these headsets are. I have been playing Fallout 4 for the last few months and the sound quality is as good as headsets that cost $100 or more. The ability to hear footsteps behind and the the side of me in the game works great. Sound and music quality are top notch.

The ear pads and top arch pad are very soft and I can play for 6-7 hours at a clip with no issues of ear pain or squeezing of my head and ears. My ears fit easily inside the ear cups for a snug fit.

The plastic covers and support structure are really thin and feel like they might break easily if you drop them on a hard surface.

The control ‘fob’ includes a mute switch and volume scroll switch.

One last item, I have not used the boom mic yet and am a little confused how it will hook up as there is only one jack that plugs into the sound out of the computer. Not sure how the boom mic works through this jack.

Overall, it’s a good gaming headset for the price you pay. Just be careful handling them and they will sound good for a while.

MIC
this is the biggest problem with this headset. Mine quit working after about 3 weeks. (amazon did replace for free) will update if that one breaks.

Ear CUPS (best feature)
I have large ears and usually wear sennheiser circumaurals -- These have a similar feel
The cups have a VERY soft thin vinyl material that is as comfortable as the fabric in my HD598s. They don't seem to overheat as bad as some of the heavier pleather type cups, but they aren't as cool as the fabric.
-- Replaceable
The pads are removable/replaceable - have the elastic type connection that you can replace with other brands (see velour earpads.) The cups do have a "house" like shape (Imagine a square with the top 3 sides of a hexagon (stop sign) added to the top. I tried to fit my MP velour pads on these and it worked fine, (note there is small bit of plastic raised on the rear of the pads that may interfere if your replacement is rigid.

Finish /design (OK)
The plain glossy plastic does kind of cheapen the look. Will collect fingerprints / scratches. a matte finish would have looked better. The mic is a flexible matte finish. Most headphones only attach to the midpoint of the cups.. this one has additional material that forms a ring outside the entire cup. The "band" has an exposed metal (stainless steel?) spring sitting in a plastic trough. The Band also attaches on the "outside" of the cups instead of further inside so the headphones appear "wider"than most headphones (with a larger air gap above the ears)

FIT
Big Heads (Great)
There's no concerns here -- The band on this is sturdy and does the job without bending in awkward places. it seems to give uniformly without too much stress on any particular point

Small Heads.. (personal choice -- to big?)
Well these are larger headphones , The cups are probably about .5-1 cm wider than most other headphones and the band attaching on the outside may make these look too big on smaller heads.

As others mentioned only has a 4 pole connector (combined mic+headphones.) If you PC does not have a headset connector (i.e. you have a mic and headphone jack instead of a single headset jack) you will need to purchase a need a headset converter cable -- you can get them for 2-5$ if you don't already have one.

Cords, Mic (OK )
The cord is a good length. there is a disconnect at the base of the mic, the mic on/off and volume switches are about 1 foot from the bottom of the left cup.
Quality seems fine but it is not braided , just a standard quality you would expect to see with a headset at this pricerange.

Mic positioning
When looking at the outside of the left cup. The headphones only rotate counter clockwise from the 12 o clock position to approx 7:30 position (about 90+45 degrees) -- This means you must have the mic on the left, and the cable on the left of the headset. The location / flexibility of the mic and "memory" is great --- best I've seen in a headset. (with that said you realize it will not be able to reach the center of your mouth - most gaming headsets don't they usually sit about an inch to the left and away from your mouth, )

Sound
Its what you would expect from a typical gaming headset

Overall not a bad buy if you are looking for circumaurals under $40 -- I think the band will hold up forever, I'm not sure about the mic hopefully I just got a dud-- I will update if the replacements break. I will note that amazon made the replacement easy with no cost to me for shipping so I'm happy with my purchase

Light weight but chintzy. The headband is too short, even when expanded all the way, so the band sits too heavy on the top of my head. I ordered this item after posting a question and receiving a reply to the effect that it was extremely adjustable. Compared to my last 2 headsets, it is NOT extremely adjustable. Ear cups are too small and rather hot because there is little to no space between the padding and the ears. Sound very bad, voices dim and scratchy like a secondhand telephone conversation on an old TV show. Meanwhile, any background music blasts your ears off. I've adjusted every possible sound/volume setting and cannot get decent sound or balance at all. Unfortunately, illness kept me from beginning to use the headset before the cutoff date for returning it, so I will just be putting it in a donation box. Someone with a smaller head and different device may be able to use it. I can't.

Pros: Good sound quality
Good mic on Xbox
Decent fit for kids

Cons: Must update Xbox controllers before mic will work
Uncomfortable for adults for long periods of wear
Doesn’t work with Nintendo Switch
Feels cheap

My kids go through headsets so quickly, probably because they are incapable of keeping things off of the floor. We got two of these to replace two HyperX headsets that had poor connectors - one lasted a year, one lasted a few months.
Luckily other reviewers had mentioned the need to update the Xbox controllers in order to get the headsets to work - we did and they did. Nothing we tried got the headset to work with the Switch. Since most of us use the Xbox, it’s fine, and I’ll just get a different headset for the Switch player.
However, that leaves me, the parent, to wear this headset that squeezes my head. I don’t think it would be more comfortable without my glasses. Oh well, both kids have no complaints with regard to comfort.

Looks less quality than the photos advertised but if you can get over that - The band and earmuff parts are super comfortable! They are way lighter than they look also. Quality sound and mic. noise reduction is better than expected. Using for xbox one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Una grata sorpresa estos audífonos
Reviewed in Mexico on November 10, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Gutes, günstiges Headset
Reviewed in Germany on January 11, 2020
Klang:

5.0 out of 5 stars Suonano bene, buon microfono, molto comode e leggere
Reviewed in Italy on November 25, 2019
Unica pecca: scaldano i padiglioni auricolari.
