This watch and its unique style and intricate gears shown in the face are eye catching. It looks more expensive than it was. This is a great gift for a gadget loving guy who has everything. Just got it so learning the features will update later. Very pleased so far.
The metal nor the quartz glass gets scratched easily. I wear this daily and even when i sleep. Not one scratch on the watch face at all. I only have one ding due to hitting something metal with my hand. But even then it's tiny and hardly noticable.
It's a perfect blend of a classic watch with smart watch capabilities. This is exactly what i have been wanting.
The battery is easily replaced and lasts quite a while actually. The bands were easy to fit to my wrist (you need a watch repair kit for this).
The watch face is easy to read and can be calibrated for precision.
Overall a great watch, i was skeptical having had a couple smart watches before. But this is the perfect blend i was looking for and needed. Minimalist smart watch with a beautiful watch face.
Pros:
*Looks and feels like a real fossil watch, not a silly gadget
*The pedometer seems to be pretty accurate (until your battery gets low - see cons)
*The app is very detailed about the types of steps and sleeps you get
*You can set multiple app notifications to a single digit alert (I have Messenger, Text, and WhatsApp all on 1 for example)
*YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHARGE THE THING AT ALL!!! (I literally only take my watch off to shower)
Cons:
*No illuminating watch hands - this is the biggest gripe honestly. The watch has a naturally dark background, so if you are in a poor lit or even dark room, you will not be seeing anything on this watch.
*The App regularly crashes the first time I load it (Samsung Note 9), but works fine after loading it again.
*There is no clear indication when to replace the battery. I went 7 months before replacing mine, however about 5 months in my pedometer went nuts and started registering an insane amount of steps. No other issues with the watch whatsoever. I finally decided to replace the battery issue and the pedometer is back to normal again. So I guess the crazy pedometer registers is your best indication to swap out that battery.
Summary:
Overall, I love the watch simply because I do not care for charging of smart watches at all when all I like are the notifications and pedometer, which these hybrid watches have without the need to regularly charge them.
I would definitely recommend a hybrid watch to anyone that does not need all the extra bells and whistles on their wrist, but still would like those added amenities mentioned above.
Additionally, shortly after the "support window" had closed, the glass bezel broke. A huge crack right through the center of the dial. I have had a lot of watches from many different brands and I have NEVER cracked the bezel before, even with much rougher wear and over longer periods of time. Now I'm stuck with a broken watch that doesn't log my activity properly.
Pros: Bluetooth notifications work, especially handy when I walk away from my phone, I know when I've missed a call or text.
Stylish, minus the cracked bezel
Cons: step count is inaccurate
Bezel inexplicably cracked after 2.5 months of occasional, daytime wear
Return/warranty period too short
Overall, I'm disappointed with this purchase and would NOT recommend this watch.
