    Two weeks later and I am thrilled with this product! It is just like the Apple Smart Cover that you can buy at the Apple store and has the same packaging and everything! It stays on when I need it to and doesn’t ever really slip off. I love that it wakes the iPad whe you open the case and puts it to sleep when you close it. This is definitely a smart buy as it is MUCH cheaper than the original Apple Smart Cover but works exactly the same! Very pleased and hope this review helps with your decision to buy this product as I am really pleased I bought it!

    I just purchased this cover for my new iPad 6th generation. The midnight blue is beautiful. The fit is perfect. I read some reviews that stated this has some downsides. Here is my opinion:

    Some customers expressed how this cover only covers the screen; that it's not protective of the body itself and not at all protective in the event the iPad were to be dropped or to come into contact with objects that could damage it. They are completely accurate! This cover is meant to only cover the screen. If you need protection on your entire iPad, this is not for you. I don't use my iPad outside my home. I don't need a case that would protect it in my bags or in my car. If I were planning to transport my iPad back and forth to school or work, then this cover would be insufficient for my own piece of mind.

    Some have said that this cover doesn't serve well as a prop while using their iPad. Mine certainly does! I roll it, with the softer inside panels facing out, then form a 3 sided stand that supports my iPad. Granted, if I want to turn my screen to the portrait view, the cover won't work! But it is great for landscape, which is what I normally use. If I need portrait, I have a wonderful stand that I bought years ago for my iPad 2 from the Levenger company. Not sure if it's still available, but it's made of bamboo; collapsible, and has magnets that hold it together for storage and travel.

    I really love the connectivity feature of this cover. It turns my iPad on when I lift it and off when I lower it. Sweet!

    The material is very nice. I tend to be sensitive to synthetics or fake leathers. Also, strange smells that normally don't bother others can be life altering for myself. This has neither. It is pleasant to the touch and to the nose!

    For the price, I highly recommend this cover as long as you are not looking for "outer armor!" I will update this review as time passes in order to share how well it holds up.

    I paid regular price for this Smart Cover. No one has asked me for my review. :)

    These slum magnetic covers are perfect for my needs. These protect the screen without adding any extra bulk. It is also compatible with iPads to provide auto shutdown when closed. I purchased one when I first bought my iPad but after many years of use by careless little hands it needed to be replaced.

    I can't complain when I am able to order a genuine Apple brand SmartCover online with Two-Day Shipping, and pay less than if I were to purchase from Apple, or at Walmart.

    The Apple SmartCovers are well built - they are made with a soft-touch outer material, and an even softer microfiber material on the inside (the part that covers the screen). This protects the screen from getting scratches or damaged. The SmartCover just magnetically attaches to the side of the iPad. It folds in various different ways so that you can set your iPad up both horizontal and vertical - this is useful when reading a book, watching a movie / video and playing games. The case will hold up the iPad fine, but, I will say that it's not as sturdy as I'd like it to be - if you have it propped up sideways, if you do not support the back of the iPad when pressing on the screen, it will fall back.

    Overall, I am happy with the material quality, how soft and sleek the SmartCover is, and the fact it can prop up the iPad multiple ways.

    Be wary. Purchased this July 28, 2023 for my wife’s birthday, August 23, 2023. When opened, the cover refused to attach to her 9.7 inch iPad. It appears that the magnet is defective. She has an identical cover which works perfectly although pretty beat up, hence the need for a replacement. Contracted Woot (the seller) who have me a website to apply for a full refund. Unfortunately, the website took me back to Amazon’s where they refused to honor a return because it was past 30 days (which it was actually not). Then called Apple who said they could not honor a refund or replacement because it came from a third party seller. It looks like I am out the $39.95 and left with a very disappointed wife. Do not purchase this product from Amazon!

    I can only contest to what I have experienced with this case.
    I had the discontinued pink color version of this case and used it for a few years. It was just recently that it started coming apart and that is to be expected because no case can last forever. My experience with this case was mixed. First of all, I put my iPad in my backpack when I don’t use it and when I do, it is on a clean and flat surface. For those of you that plan to not out this in a protecting backpack and just carry it around barely, good luck. I have dropped my iPad with the pink case on it, numerous times, and the iPad and case both came out of the incident alive. I love how this case is light and very functional. I can open this case quickly and start typing. I can quickly close this case and leave if I need to. I can easily take my iPad out of this case and just use it barely, or just pass it around. I don’t want to make this review too long so I am going to state two things.
    1) this case is for people that like the sleek and minimalist feel of the iPad and don’t want their case to compromise that
    2) this case should be kept in a backpack or some type of bag, to protect it from falling on the ground, and please don’t put sharp objects near this case, I.e. pencils, keys, etc.
    Pro tip: this case can transform the display side of your iPad into a surface that can go on top of anything. Meaning: you can place your iPad face down with the case closed and it will stick to the surface really well. Oh and one more: use clean hands with this case just like you would treat your phone case to help it last longer.
    Okay, I’m done. This for reading and I hope you decide to purchase this.
