One of the standout features of this monitor is its ability to detect a wide range of pollutants, including PM2.5, CO2, AQI, temperature, and humidity. It provides real-time air quality data, as well as historic data, which makes it easy to track changes in air quality over time. It also offers air quality forecasting, which can be incredibly helpful in planning outdoor activities or adjusting your indoor environment as needed.
Another great feature of the IQAir Air Quality Monitor Indoor is its Swiss design. It's well-made and designed to last, which means that you can rely on it to provide accurate air quality data for years to come. The monitor is also incredibly easy to use, with a simple interface that makes it easy to access all of the features and settings.
The monitor is also incredibly versatile. It's compatible with a wide range of devices, including smartphones and tablets, which makes it easy to access your air quality data from anywhere. It also offers IFTTT integration, which means that you can set up automated alerts and actions based on your air quality data.

Otherwise great at what is does monitoring air quality------especially when I am burning firewood in my fireplace (fir barkwood seems to be very toxic) and during wildfire smoke that often reach dangerous levels in the summer. Fortunately, high quality air filters quickly reduce the harmful pollutants.
It is mainly designed to be an indoor sensor, and that's how I'm using it. (You can actually use it outdoors, but then you don't get indoor readings.) You can monitor outdoor Air Quality by hooking it up to the internet. There are several local sensors that folks nearby me (just a couple of miles away) that are available, or there's the local Air District that is also just 2 miles away. All of these are available using the IQAir AirVisual App. The App is free, and you can monitor any number of Air Quality sensors worldwide that you want. I highly recommend the App just for those reasons.
But where the Air Visual App really shines after you add the Air Visual Pro to the app. You can then monitor the outside Air Quality and inside air quality either on the app, or on the Air Visual Pro screen. It will tell you if the air quality is better inside or outside, and what actions to take, like open or shut windows, or don’t got outside, or outside activities are fine. The Air Visual Pro displays CO2 and PM2.5. It also shows the US AQI readings. China AQI is another option.
The PM2.5 readings seem accurate, so I can use it to make decisions about closing up inside, and using air filters if needed. It’s really an amazing device. Also there is a significant Knowledge Base on the IQAir website that gives out a lot of extra information about the Air Visual Pro.
The one drawback, is that it costs a bit, $269, but part of that cost is that is has its own screen. Having it's own screen makes it more usable, you can just look to see how the Air Quality is both inside and outside, and get the direct recommendations right one the device.
It's a five star winner.
This has been an important add for HVAC control due to local use of heavily polluting wood burning. By it I can halt an ERV automatically via IFTTT smart plug or manually and switch to a MIRV 16 filter if necessary, but generally just stopping the ERV overnight is enough along with a MIRV 13 on the furnace to keep indoor AQI well in the green.
But if that stops working in the winter a modification to a HEPA pre-filter on the ERV or upgrading to a HEPA capable ERV will be sufficient.
Great product and it does exactly what I needed. Well done! Please keep it simple and indoor + outdoor + IFTTT integration options. Other competitors with hubs and a multitude of sensors are over complicated in my estimation. This is perfect.

I have Dyson products in my house but I was concerned (more for my dogs!) that when they are outside, they are not inhaling all this pm 2.5!
My government-air-quality station is a few kilometres from me and, sure, general AQ is nice to know, but where I am actually located can have much different AQ than that station obviously.
What’s nice about this is I can put it on my deck while I am outside and see what the pm 2.5 levels are, and as soon as I bring it inside the pm 2.5 returns to zero again. I have tested this against my Dyson with the door open and it’s accurate. In fact IQAir was the most accurate in a comparison of consumer-grade AQ monitors, and for the price was surprisingly close to the accuracy of government monitors (within 5% I think).
Anyway, I use this inside the house, and I have AQ OUTDOOR for permanent measurements outside (mounted on a front-yard tree) which I love even more. That one lets me know when is the best time to go outside. It’s so interesting seeing what the trends are, and how meteorological conditions and wind improve or worsen AQ.
Both modules have continuous monitoring or by the hour. The app is great and instantaneous. Both store historical data which you can share on the iq air map.
I’m really happy with IQair and my third product will be the Atem for the car. If I can afford another AQ Outdoor for the deck I will get one. (You don’t want to open your windows when AQ is bad, and your nose can’t always tell).
Where I live it’s just cars and cars and I want to be conscious of having clean air for my pups to enjoy, and it benefits me too.
Have had the outside air monitor since early February, linked to the app on my phone but it’s a pain to be constantly finding phone to check before attempting to go into the garden. In addition, humidity and CO2 levels indoors are a concern because of closed air vents and windows because of often high levels of particulates around our home.
So now we know where we are and hopefully will know quickly when we have a chance to open windows.
It was fairly easy to set up. No real instructions but a google can track down answers to questions.
Well worth buying. There are a fair number of outdoor IQAir stations in the UK. It is possible to link to a town monitor for outside air but it won’t be as precise as one just outside your premises.
It came with an EU adapter but a spare UK one that I had has worked.
I am very pleased with my IQAir purchases.
