The Nokia 1 is incredible for its price. I haven't seen any phone come close to the amount of features per dollar anywhere on Amazon. I've been using this phone for a few months now and I have to say that while going from a top of the line Google Pixel XL to the Nokia 1 was a bit of an adjustment! The biggest take away that I have had was that the battery optimization feature should be talked about more. Apps and Games that you use more often you want to have them NOT optimized. It sounds very counter-intuitive but it does make sense, you're asking the phone to optimize your battery usage by limiting the resources to your app/game (which makes it very slow). Turning it off for key applications and a few games made my enjoyment factor of the Nokia 1 to increase significantly. The only major lag that the phone seems to suffer from is the Gboard keyboard. It likes to hang or be very slow to respond for some reason, sometimes you need to click the minimize arrow to get it off the screen. Thankfully its just an app and you can replace it with a different one if you don't need all the bells and whistles of the stock Gboard keyboard. I have also replaced a few of the "GO" edition apps with their full edition versions (Google Maps, YouTube, etc). And they run just fine. The phone does also tend to lag with the alarm function from time to time, at first this really had me concerned because without my work alarm in the morning this phone wasn't going to work for me, but instead it just lags by a few minutes depending on some weird factor. For example, sometimes it works right on time at 7:00AM, or ends up at 7:04AM. Not a huge difference, but enough to make you wonder if your alarm is going to work or not. Thankfully it has always gone off in that four minute window. Other comfort features has been to have the device unlock when its by location or by connected device (ie. cars bluetooth) as this has lessened the annoying (type in your PIN now) constantly every time you check your phone. Speaking of PINs, make sure you don't have the additional encryption PIN set, as it will bug the hell out of you! I had to turn it off since my phone wanted me to enter my PIN in TWICE while turning it on (talk about a slow phone start!). So with a few small changes this phone does become rather usable. Granted the camera really sucks (my only regret) as I LOVED taking pictures with my Pixel phone. But you get what you pay for right? The battery life is AMAZING compared to my Pixel and having significantly more juice has made traveling with the phone really enjoyable compared to my old phone. The screen quality is not bad, the brightness is fantastic, if not a little too bright on its low setting in the dark. Security updates roll out each month and appear anywhere between 5 days and 3 weeks after the patch rolls out with Google. As of this review it's still on Android 8.1 and supposedly Android 9 will be landing within the next three months on the Nokia 1 (confirmed by tweet by Nokia). So this phone definitely has some future potential still! If you're looking for a value phone like I did you can't go wrong with this device. What it lacks in speed it more than makes up for in awesome battery life, heat management, and working with most apps/games. There is NO VR support (as it doesn't have several sensors to make it work) but other games such as Pokemon GO and SeaPort run. Pokemon is a little laggy, but I have been able to still trade, catch pokemon, and use it well enough, though prepare for a wait if you want to rename anything as the Gboard will lag like no tomorrow! Oh, and the startup Nokia chime CANNOT be turned OFF. This has me using my finger to plug the speaker hole every time I reboot/start the phone and is a real annoyance when you work in a cubical work environment. Overall though, this is the best value phone (feature per dollar) on Amazon in 2019 so far. It has upgrade potential with its software, security updates, and many of its flaws are only with its code. Its affordable, worry free, and easy to use. With a replaceable battery and expandable memory slot this phone can be used for a long time to come. Oh, and the CoverON phone cases I highly recommend as the affordable "close to Otterbox" case for Nokia 1 as well, after dropping my phone on metal it was just fine and I feel worry free with it, the kick stand is just an added bonus! I hope this very long review was helpful for some of you. Cheers.

First thing you should be aware of with this phone is it runs a sort of "lite" version of Android called "Android Go" and that not all apps will be available for it - but most your basic needs can be met.

Second thing you should know is that the phone is not very powerful with it's processor/memory. That means that some apps will run slow, or that there may be latency with some apps - but I never had the phone crash or anything like that and I don't consider this to be a major negative factor because, after all, "You get what you pay for" and this phone is dirt cheap!

I primarily bought this phone to use as an international travel phone while I was recently going through SE Asia. My primary cell phone has some restrictions on it due to work related access, so I couldn't swap out the SIM card with that phone. So I bought this little guy to pop in various SIMs as I went between Singapore, Malaysia & Vietnam.

All I really wanted out of it was to get a data plan so that I would be able to use maps, request car services, use whatsapp & messenger, etc. And it worked great for that purpose! I could even use it as a hotspot & connect my other phone if I was having trouble finding wifi - although that does use a lot of juice and will drain the battery if you leave it on.

If you're not a "heavy" user of apps, and don't mind a little slowness when pulling up maps or searching - then this is a great value phone. If you use a lot of apps and such, then I wouldn't recommend it as a "day to day" phone, but for the price it was an absolute life saver for international travel, being able to use apps like Uber or Grab instead of paying crooked local taxis!

This was the perfect phone that met all my criteria: smaller footprint, headphone jack, snappy, clear audio from speaker, great battery life, under $60, and all the essential apps worked smoothly. But, it ended up having a fundamental flaw. The flaw was that it sometimes wouldn't ring when when getting a call. I messed around with all the settings and nothing seemed to have a permanent effect. After doing some research online and looking through forums I found that this is a common problem with nokia phones.

I've been in the market for a small phone for a long time. I like my iPhone SE but the non-removable battery, lack of customization of iOS, disappointing battery life weren't so hot for me. For the money, this phone is a great deal. You get all the modern connectivity options you need (LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth; no NFC, though), good battery life, a small-ish phone size (half an inch too big for my preference but oh well) with an undisturbed version of Android 9 (which you upgrade to when you get the phone).

    HOW BAD IS THE BAD?
Let's talk about the parts you might not like. The camera is terrible. I mean TERRIBLE. This is, in large part, because it does not have a variable focus. For taking pictures of people and stuff it's OK, but anything requiring any level of macro focus (such as documents) you can forget about it. You can't focus on the text. I know it's only a $60 phone, but this camera should not exist on a 2019 phone. It's horrible. If I have to use another piece of equipment to take a picture, then that sucks. Might as well go back to my iPhone SE which dies fast but at least can take a decent picture ...

The screen is not horrible but not great. Brightness level is mostly low. It's hard to see outside and even more so in bright sunlight.

It's a Dual SIM phone, but keep in mind that one of your cards will be restricted to 2G speeds. This is important to know since many carriers have or will be doing away with 2G. I guess it was too expensive or otherwise difficult to put another 4G/LTE radio in there?

    CONCLUSION
Great value for the money. But the camera could be a dealbreaker. In fact, it's so bad that now I'm kind of re-thinking my purchase ...

Esto se solucionó desdoblando la terminal. El telefono funcionó sin problemas hasta que la patita se rompió, un día después de la ventana de devolución.
