Merger: Takeover Duet, Book 2 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Two rivals. One enemy. And an ending no one saw coming.
When Antonio Forte met Lauren Bradley, he never expected that making the choice between a possible relationship with her or destroying her company in a hostile takeover would be a hard one. Antonio has always put business before pleasure, but, for the first time, he wants both. After proposing a merger of their two companies, Antonio is hoping Lauren accepts his offer so he can show her the world and together they can have it all.
In a world dominated by men, Lauren's leery of anyone willing to show mercy - especially the very handsome, smooth-talking Antonio. Lauren doesn't trust easily, especially when it comes to someone who is threatening to dismantle her company, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't find his offer tempting. After finally deciding the path she will choose, a bigger problem emerges - the real enemy is lurking in the shadows and closer than she ever expects.
Merger is the follow-up to Acquisition in the Takeover Duet.

The mole! I suspected the person at first, then that person even convinced me they were not the mole, and then bam! Glad to see Trent get handled!!!! Now Tara, I would love to see her and Stefano make a go. I think she would be good for him.
Thank you Chelle Bliss for a wonderful duet series. Excellent read.
Luckily both books were out when I started reading them so I could do the whole story at one time.
I loved the characters and the plot. There was one surprise that really was a surprise in book two. I never imagined the “who”.
In the unfolding of Lauren and Antonio’s story in this “Duet,” we become familiar with Tara, Lauren’s wild and crazy but loyal bestie, and Stephan, Antonio’s less-than-perfect, but ready-to-reform brother, their brief weekend encounter on the island, and their undeniable attraction. Surely this scenario will lead the author to another book in the series.
Antonio’s family, with the many siblings and the loving and welcoming Mamma, present the author almost unlimited possiblities for additional books to add to the Duet.
This is a great story, and two books are not enough! I hope that Chelle Bliss will give us more!!
A good conclusion however it ends rather abruptly. We don’t get to see what happens in the next phase of Lauren and Antonio's lives. It just ends. I have to say that it is disappointing and unfinished. I was left wondering and I hate when that happens. However I still loved the book!!! Even though it would have been great to have seen what happened afterwards. That being said I believe – HOPE – that we will get a glimpse in Tara and Stefano’s story. Well I’m hoping like heck there will be a Tara and Stefano story. It's portrayed that there will be so if we’re lucky we will get one.
This book is filled with lots of heat and passion!!! Lauren and Antonio are off the charts!!! But the best thing about this book is that Lauren really comes into her own and learns to live outside of her work. She completed her dream and with the help of Antonio she signs that she is ready to move forward to the next phase in her life. That’s why it is disappointing that we don’t get at least a glimpse into it. This was a great duet and I’m more than looking forward to Tara and Stefano's story!!!
So once again life kinda threw me a curve ball and cut into my reading time. I picked up the audiobook after reading a chapter because I was going to be busy with errands and such. I'm so glad I did. Brian Pallino and Natasha Soudek both did an amazing job with the narration giving the story the real life dimension. Brian nailed what I thought Antonio would sound like and was phenomenal with the other characters as well. Natasha was the perfect voice for Lauren. Her male accents were not so great but I enjoyed nonetheless.
The story picks up right where Acquisition left off. And that issue was resolved fairly quickly. I loved the sides of Lauren and Antonio we get to see in this book. I didn't like how flip-floppy Lauren was about her feelings. She seemed to just all of the sudden to want everything. That just seemed rushed to me.
Overall a good conclusion to the duet. I'm excited to see what Chelle has up her sleeve next.
