Publisher's summary

Man of God - Fugitive, Lover, Prophet!

Welcome to ancient Israel and a time of great crisis for the Lord's people. The land is ruled by tyrants and its prophets persecuted to near extinction. The fugitive Elijah must draw on his full armory of miraculous powers to overcome his mortal enemies.

LeRoy's rendition of his own epic poem is a full-on performance, taking the great prophet through the extremes of elation and despair. Meanwhile, the author draws on his professional background as a narrator to embody a rich and varied cast of voice characters, from the fierce declarations of a mighty angel to the sinister seductions of deadly Jezebel.

At times raunchy, yet always reverent, this beautifully produced 12-book epic will embrace you in a timeless story of love and danger and wonder and prophecy!

Magnificently Biblical

First, I read the print copy of this book. Many of my sentiments are the same, but there are some dramatic differences when listening to the prolific voice of author Leroy, as he narrated his story. Leroy brings his magnificent Epic poem to life as he narrates and tells the grand story. I thoroughly enjoyed Leroy's work, and will definitely read and listen to more of his work. He has a grand and unique perspective and has accomplished a great task of writing an epic poem, which is no small feat. So, taking his narrative (remarkable and mesmerizing voice) and adding it to tell the story was just genius. "Elijah lies beneath a tree in the desert, praying for death, then falls asleep. He is twice awoken and fed by an angel, who assumes a human form so as not to overwhelm the man of God." Absolutely wonderful and hypnotic narration.
