A Demon Within

A Demon Within is a fast-paced movie for horror fans. It gives you a great story line with plenty of scare factor. The very beginning builds up a bit but once the scares begin they don’t stop. This brilliantly paced movie left me biting my nails and hanging on the edge of my seat. In addition, the movie offers so much more. An amazing original score, great special effects makeup, and great cinematography are just to name a few. Whether you are a fan of horror movies or not I recommend this movie.

Justin LaReau shows us his mastery of directing and writing with a haunting first feature length horror that draws on all the classic paranormal genre aspects while still creating an original vision. The story centers around how Nefas, an evil ancient spirit, has possessed Charlotte Larsen, a new resident of Crestwick, and what that means for her town, specifically the church and the mysterious town doctor. It’s all about faith and the power that it gives you in this situational possession. A definite crowd pleaser for fans of films like the Exorcist and The Conjuring

LaReau and Banker’s indie horror film, A Demon Within, is to die for! Their film is inspired by true events that would make anyone shutter in fear. Julia and Charlotte want a fresh start by moving to a small rural town, unbeknownst of the spiritual battle that raids the town…more specifically the house they live in. A demon possesses Charlotte causing the towns doctor to face his past to help her. The doctor asks for the help of the town’s pastor. The film has a surprising plot twist that no one would see coming.
