Cama Incendiada

Cama Incendiada

A quarter-century into their career, Maná are still hungry for new sounds on this 2015 release. Their trademarks—flamenco guitar, festive percussion, and Fher Olvera's smooth vocals—remain, but there's less rock and more rhythm this time. The group branch into reggae on "Suavecito," add funky horns and organ on the title track, and blast through a Tex-Mex stomp complete with accordion on "Somos más Americanos." Shakira shines on "Mi Verdad," a ballad about salvation through love, and occasional English lyrics add to the already broad appeal.
