Camp Bexley #4

Blanket of Stars

Rate this book
All Cayson Bexley ever wanted was to fly…Until a near-fatal crash clipped his wings, sending the injured military pilot back to his hometown and living right next door to me.From the moment our eyes meet, the attraction is undeniable.I mean who wouldn’t fall for that achingly gorgeous face, his clean-cut demeanor, and sweet, small town charm?Other than our mutual love of music, we’re as opposite as two people can be.Which is precisely why I friend-zone him the moment he shows interest. But as time goes on, my heart softens to this man who once had it all—a literal hero floundering to find his purpose. In the midst of my own struggles, I could certainly use a friend.Heck, I could use more than that. And I’m not afraid to let Cayson know it.When I discover my hunk of a neighbor is as shy as he is inexperienced, I offer him a distraction he can’t possibly refuse. We already share a very thin wall. Why not a bed too? There’s only one he’ll have to promise not to fall in love with me…A no-strings hook-up is every man’s dream, right? What could possibly go wrong?

We are back to Camp Bexley for another heartfelt story of another Bexley brother finding love. I am so in love with Bexley family and Cayson's story was probably my favorite. An wounded and retired military hero coming out of his shy and sweet shell and claiming the fierce girl who doesn't want to settle down in small town and battling her own insecurity..it doesn't get any better than this.

Cayson Bexley almost died in an accident while running a rescue mission as an airforce pilot. He is back to Orcas Island as he is recovering where his brothers run Camp Bexley and have found love. His sight is set on Olivia Jade, his brother’s girlfriend's best friend. They have different personality. Olivia's parents are famous musicians and she runs her own production company. She thinks she wants a rockstar for herself. Cayson and Olivia becomes neighbor and then friends and Olivia offers to help him to teach intimacy lessons as friend..but can Cayson be just her friend?

Cayson is a bit different from other Bexleys. He had a complex character arc here. Bexleys have a complicated and tragic past that affected them all but Cayson felt invisible. Flying gave him purpose in life. He is a brave fighter. But now he has lost this purpose and his emotions are all over the places. He is determined to get back in a plane and working hard. His focus in his career means he didn't give time to love or relationship. But Olivia stole his heart from the first meet. There is something so adorable and swoony to see the hero falling first. Cayson always has been a bit introvert and shy while Olivia lives for the spotlight. Coming from a celebrity background, she is sassy and outspoken. But she also has a vulnerability that makes her stick to the kind of men she has seen in the celebrity life. Cayson is so different from them. He is sweet and caring and a complete sweetheart. They started a no strings arrangement beyond their great friendship but it was bound to get messy. I loved how Cayson grew more confident about his feels and about what he deserves from a relationship. They hurt each other and it was angst fest for a while. The heartbreak made Olivia realise that she actually loves Cayson and her insecurities are holding her back. So it was her turn to grovel. It was a sinful slow burn and heartwarming feelings overload. It was a bittersweet ending for me. I loved how we had glimpses of all the Bexleys getting married and having kids and I am sad as I will miss this world. The bromance was real epic here.

Cayson Bexley, you have absolutely stolen my heart. What a way to end this amazing series. Man, I am going to miss these characters so much.

Cayson was in the Air Force for the last 8 years until he was in a horrible accident and has now been forced to leave his only love - flying. Due to medical discharge. He has come home to his families camp to rehabilitate, not only his body, but his strained relationships with his brothers. This camp brought all of the brothers together when they were kids, but at the same time tore everyone apart when tragedy within the family struck.

Olivia, the MFC, is best friends with Brooklyn, who is Benson Bexley's (Cayson's brother) girlfriend. So she has been newly inducted into their little family. Now that Cayson has been back home for a year and getting back on his feet; he has been noticing Olivia and wants to get to know her more. The problem - she is in a long distance "relationship" with a rockstar, who clearly doesn't have her best interests at heart.

Cayson and Olivia move in next door to each other and getting closer and closer, especially when Olivia's relationship ends. Olivia doesn't want anything with strings attached because she is still holding out hope for her rockstar to come back to her, so she and Cayson come to an agreement of a friends with benefits situation. Olivia swears to Cayson that he can't fall in love with her. But fall in love he does. And it is so heartbreakingly beautiful to watch.

"I know I promised. You gave me no other choice. What if I want to break my promise? What if I want to fall in love with you? What if I already have?"

Will Olivia ever be able to trust herself enough to move forward to an actual relationship with Cayson, or will she forever only want to be friends with benefits?

This story is so much more than the romance between Cayson and Olivia. This was more about Cayson's post recovery life and his acceptance of his new life. As well as Cayson's experiencing all of his firsts.

It is also about family and the four brothers getting their happily ever afters. We see Anderson, Jamison, and Benson so much in here and it is just so great to see how much things have changed within the brothers just from the first book (Weight of Regret), where they were barely talking to each other.

There is also a side plot in here and the resolution of that made me actually sob.

I am going to miss these guys so much!!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.5)
Trope: military, wounded hero, virgin hero
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

It's kind of been hit or miss with KK Allen's stories for me, but I while I was hoping I'd fall in love with this one, it just didn't work for me in the end. Well written with a great storyline, it was just the two main characters I had a really hard time with. Normally, I love a good, hot mess heroine, but frankly, just couldn't like Olivia Jade nor her annoying nickname for Cayson. For someone who's life was so out of control, she just came across as almost condescending. Cayson is a super sweet and forgiving person, but honestly, I thought he let her push him around too much. Anywho, that is just me and I still think that fans of the series should read it. I loved how all the brothers came together in the end - I definitely got a little teary.

The book I have been desperately waiting to read – Cayson's story.

I truly don't even know where to start my review. Blanket of Stars is hands-down my favorite book in this series.

Cayson is probably the most complex Bexley. While the whole Bexley family went through a horrific event, nothing gave Cayson a purpose til flying. And then when that was taken from him due to an accident, his world crumbled too. He's now back home and trying to get back on his feet again.

Olivia is best friends with Cayson's brother's girlfriend, Brooklyn. These two have seen each other around but it's not until they move next door to one another that things start to spark. However, she's not looking for anything permanent so they make an agreement to be friends with benefits. And their love story evolves from that.

This story was absolutely so beautiful. It not only was filled so much more romance, but it was Cayson's recovery and learning everything again.

I hate saying goodbye to these brothers but it's been a beautiful journey watching them all grow and find one another again. This series is one of my favorites.

A definite five star read for me!!

Finishing a series that you fall in love with is so bittersweet. Blanket of Stars was no exception.

I knew that baby brother Cayson was gonna be another phenomenal character, but I did not expect to love him so much. KK brings emotions out in each story, and Cayson is the most innocent guy, and he is just looking for love. What he finds is a woman willing to be his right now, no strings attached.

Olivia knows she will break Cayson's heart if he gets too close, and so she offers up lessons to help him feel more like a man. The emotions I went through reading were all over the place. I felt nostalgia for storyline involving Lyric and Wolf, I felt the steam and angst with Cayson and Olivia, sadness and forgiveness with the brothers and their estranged father, to put it short I felt the whole spectrum. The ending of this series was a big warm blanket wrapping me up on a chilly winter night, and I loved every moment.

I thought Benson’s story was my favorite but this book definitely won that spot, Cayson and Olivia’s story was so intriguing and I loved their scenes together and how things started developing between them. Cayson was such an amazing and pure hero and I just wanted for him to finally find someone to push his boundaries and Olivia definitely did that. I loved their interactions and how little by little they started forming a friendship and being comfortable around each other.

Olivia was a wonderful character in the previous book so I loved knowing she was Cayson’s love interest. They were both very different but Olivia was perfect for Cayson and she was always helping Cayson be more confident and getting the sexual experience he never had. Olivia was used to rockstars and bad boys so she only wanted a friendship with Cayson even though she was captivated by him from the start. They shared a lot of cute moments and I loved how Olivia’s feelings and her perspective towards Cayson started changing.

Cayson was definitely my favorite Bexley brother, after his accident in the previous books I was dying to read his story and I devoured this book, he was such a sweet and charming guy and I loved how attracted he was to Olivia and how he just hoped she felt the same way about him. He was inexperienced around women so Olivia decided to help him and that’s when things started changing between them, their chemistry was always there and Olivia couldn’t deny how good she felt sharing new experiences with Cayson. He was shy at first but I loved how he started gaining confidence and finally being able to show Olivia how he felt around her.

They were both really amazing and despite their differences it was nice reading their scenes together and how at the end Olivia finally admitted her true feelings for Cayson. He faced some issues after his accident so I loved how he got a HEA with Olivia and how he shared all his experiences with her. It was still bittersweet reading the final book in the series but I absolutely loved reading about the Bexley brothers, how they all had each other’s backs and how at the end they all found happy endings with some incredible and supportive women.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

“You’ve always been hopeless but in the best kind of way.”

Blanket of Stars is the emotional conclusion to the Bexley brothers series and it was breathtakingly good. This story gave me all the feels and had me crying both happy and sad tears because it touched all the right chords. Cayson and Olivia are absolute magic together and their fun yet heartbreaking at times journey to a HEA is so worth it.

“While you may be perfect to me, you carry scars that make you question your worth.”

Olivia is such a firecracker. She’s feisty and independent, but deep inside, she has been scarred by her past and doesn’t trust her feelings. She’s doesn’t value herself and what she deserves. She’s under the mistaken impression that she can only be happy with a rock star to keep the connection to her former life even though her developing friendship with Cayson is more fulfilling to her heart. I loved watching her blossom under Cayson’s attention and realize her self-worth.

“You’re unquestionably the best guy I have ever known, but there’s something so terrifying about that.”

Cayson Bexley….sigh….he’s soooo dreamy!! Kind, gentle, and absolutely in love with Olivia from the moment they met. His shy personality is such a departure from what you usually see in romance stories, but it was so beautiful. I loved his spirit and optimism in the light of the tragedy he had suffered. He never let it get him down and saw everything as an opportunity for his future. My heart broke for him a few times, but I knew he had the inner strength to persevere and come out better on the other side.

“You’re everything I need to stay grounded in any life I could ever find myself in.”

Olivia and Cayson’s chemistry was absolute fire. I loved their tutoring sessions, but I also loved their friendship. They became each other’s best friend and supported one another wholeheartedly in whatever arose. Their emotional connection was palpable and I loved how it was fostered and grew stronger throughout the story.

“We grew, and now we’re stronger than ever. We’re right where we should be, even if we didn’t realize it at first.”

Full of heartwarming joy, white-hot chemistry, deep and abiding love as well as devastating tragedy, Blanket of Stars was a stunning conclusion to this series and brought the Bexley brothers full circle. The emotions that each character went through in this series really showcased how far they had come. I’m so sad to say goodbye to these brothers, but I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Ahh! So many feelings with this one! I’ve loved this series from the beginning and been eagerly awaiting Cayson's story since his first mention when the Camp Bexley world began. A freaking war hero who fought and clawed his way back from the brink of death, a strong family bond despite the tragedy that nearly broke them, and a gooey -hearted alpha inexperienced in all things romance? Yes, please!

Despite the bad memories of their father's treatment, each of the Beckley children has returned to their childhood home, Camp Bexley, and together they’ve turned it into a destination retreat. Cayson has spent his time since he returned home recovering from his injuries, with romance being the last thing on his mind. That all changes the moment he meets Olivia Jade.

Olivia is a bit of a conundrum. With famous parents, she grew up immersed in the rock star lifestyle, but she's determined to make a name for herself without her parents help. She longs to put down roots and find a place to belong, yet she seeks out relationships with men whose lives are like her parents. Either she can’t make up her mind, or she has no idea what's best for her when it comes to love. And Cayson is motivated to help Olivia see the light, see him, to realize how good they are together.

Hold on to your heart, my reader friend, because this one will take it on quite a ride. Between the family bond, Cayson's relegation to the friend zone, and Olivia’s failure to see what's right in front of her eyes, this one will grab you by the heartstrings and not let go. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll blush, you'll swoon, and you'll love everything second you spend immersed in these pages. Run to the 1-Click now and fall in love with Cayson and Olivia!

Wow, what a conclusion to the Camp Bexley series! Blanket of Stars will take you on a fun, flirty, emotional, and laugh out loud journey that will have you feeling all kinds of feelings. Cayson, might just be my favorite Bexley brother! Cayson is rehabbing after his life altering crash that causes him to reevaluate his life and figure out what he wants, which also happens to include Olivia. Olivia is trying to get her businesses off the ground and make her dream come to life, but her love life is all over the place and ends up friend zoning Cayson. These two are now neighbors and and their friendship will push the line and out of their comfortability. Cayson and Olivia will take you on a whirlwind journey that will have you on the edge of your seat and hooked until the end. I love these characters and every trip back to Camp Bexley!

I am in love and obsessed with Cayson Bexley!! Through this series we have learned so much about the mysterious younger brother and all the Bexley men but now it’s his turn and his story! Allen definitely saved the best for last!

I have loved each of the brothers because each one had their own story and their own journey! Cayson though gah he just had me from the start! Finally getting his story and seeing him go through his journey of healing and finding his way captured my heart! Cayson has a heart of gold and loves hard! He knows what he wants he just needed to find a way to go for it!

When Cayson set his sights on his gorgeous neighbor Cayson knew he was going to do what it takes to win heart heart and hopefully keep his intact!

I am so sad that this is it, I have loved the Bexley’s with my whole heart and now that all the brothers have found their way and their loves my heart is full but I’m not ready to let them go! I hope to see them in future KK books because they have stamped their place in my heart and I’ll love them forever!

If you haven’t started this series please do! They are all standalone but best enjoyed from the start! Just prepare to fall in love with each brother!

A plane crash sends Cayson Bexley back to his hometown to recover from his injuries. He sets his eyes on his new neighbor, Olivia. First, they don’t get along, but hey, you can always use an extra friend. And when she offers to teach him intimacy lessons, they both make a vow not to fall for the other.
When I started this series, I looked really forward to Cayson’s story. I couldn’t really make up my mind about him, but now I definitely understand him better. This story is more about Cayson accepting his new purpose in life, and discovering a lot of firsts.

‘AN EPIC END
TO AN
EPIC SERIES’

Did K Allen leave the best to last in what has to be the most emotional, spine-tingling beautiful series I have read in a long time?, yes she did and believe me that is not easy to say - the last and youngest Bexley brother Cayson deserved something really exceptional and a very special woman with her own strengths and weakness and Olivia was perfect, the author pulled out all the stops to give me everything I have come to expect from this series once again she left it near the end to crack my heart wide open, just a brilliant highly recommended read.

This book was absolute perfection! I loved it so, so much! Cayson was perfect and Olivia was the perfect hot mess!! Honestly, it was really refreshing to see the heroine not have it all together really and be the one who’s a commitment-phobe and attracted to the wrong types, so often it’s the man who’s the promiscuous one. I loved that this story was a complete role reversal… I fell in love with Cayson in the prologue and my heart broke right along with his. Flawless writing by KK as usual, I just love these Camp Bexley stories and Cayson may be my most favorite sibling. Beautifully done!

Oh I’m gonna miss this series so much! 4 books and 4 brother who have all stolen my heart!!

Reading snippets of Cayson’s story in the other books and then finally reading his story had me falling in love with him!!

I like how Cayson and Olivia slowly got closer and closer and then he was there for her when her relationship ended and they started their agreement!🥵

This is probably one of my favorites of the series! I can’t wait for more from K.K!!

I have been waiting for Cayson's story since Weight of Regret. Cayson, the broken hero Bexley brother. Cayson finally able to take care of himself is the last brother to not be paired up. With one look, Olivia captures Caysons attention but his inexperience hinders him from acting on it. This story is sweet and sexy with so many feels. Happy tears and sad tears, celebrations and angst. With Olivia's help Cayson finally finds his confidence, his happiness and his co-pilot. Together the Bexley brothers find each other, their dreams and happiness.

Cayson is finally nearly healed from a near-death experience, he is home with his brothers and freshly discharged from the Air Force. Life full of uncertainty and everyone else’s life changing around him, he kind of agrees it’s time to start dating. But, he’s crushing on Olivia Jade. Olivia is making a non-relationship work and “not” into Cayson, he’s a pilot…not a rockstar.

The journey these two take to figure out love, has many ups and downs, but they make it and she becomes his co-pilot and he becomes “the one that she loves.”

Overall Grade: 4.5 ⭐️

Tropes: opposites attract; forced proximity; virgin hero; MMC falls first; small-town romance; neighbors-to-friends-to-lovers

If you haven’t yet journeyed into K.K. Allen’s Camp Bexley series, right now is the perfect time to jump in. With her latest release in this series, Blanket of Stars, Allen deftly ends this series under the sparkle of stars reticent of a good romance.

In this final book, we are introduced to Cayson Bexley, the youngest of the Bexley brothers, and quite frankly, he is the most innocent and empathic of the brothers. Even with his years in the Air Force, a usual masculine endeavor, there is something pure about Cayson, and it doesn’t make him a “beta-hero;” rather, he acts as a foil to his FMC’s typical boyfriend type. It creates this great complication and the ultimate struggle between Cayson and Olivia. K.K. Allen must reconcile Cayson’s immediate adoration and eventual love for Olivia, as she determines her worthiness of Cayson’s love. All of this is deliciously wrapped in a steam-fest that begins with Cayson’s innocence and ends with his control of their physical relationship. I know some readers might not appreciate a virginal hero; however, something about it feels female-forward, as Olivia teaches Cayson how to pleasure her. Allen is careful to balance a potential emasculation with Cayson’s growing confidence in the bedroom, so, while at first their experience is uneven, it eventually becomes a balanced partnership.

If you’re a fan of a compassionate, thoughtful good guy hero and a heroine who has enough moxie for both of them, then you’ll love K.K. Allen’s exclamation point with Blanket of Stars. She took all the threads of this series and tied them into a bow of pure romance completion.

Blanket of Stars by K.K. Allen.

I can’t even tell you how much I have been waiting for Cayson’s story. We have seen or read little snippets of him through all of the other books and the anticipation was building and building. The author did an amazing job at closing the Bexley series perfectly. She gave everyone a happy ending and everyone had the well deserved closure they all desperately needed. I absolutely loved that the author wrote a revers role in the whole innocence thing usually it’s the female but no it was Cay and I loved it. She managed to write him with vulnerability yet this manly hotness that didn’t make him any less sexy. I loved that it was Olivia with all of the insecurities and the one who needed to work things out and figure out what she wanted. The role reversal was refreshing and I loved it. I am sad this series is over but I loved it all so much and I highly recommend.

Teaching for the skies!

When Cayson Bexley is involved in a life changing accident whilst flying a plane, he doesn't realise just how life changing things are going to get. Going home to his family's camp to heal and recover, he meets Olivia Jade a friend of his brothers girlfriend. When they end up living next door to each other, the attraction Cayson felt only grows but Olivia is not looking for permanence. When Olivia finds out Cayson hasn't even dated and isn't sure what to do with women, she offers to teach him. What happens when feelings become intertwined? Is this the start of something special or will it explode? The chemistry between them is off the charts and each interaction just makes it more so. Will they be able to find what they need in each other or are they just clutching at straws?
This was such a great read and have me all the feels

I’m so not ready to leave Camp Bexley! This bunch of fictional people are ones I’d love to have in my real life.

Each brother is written as such an individual and it’s been wonderful reading each character arc then continuing to visit with them in each book. Cayson is the sweetest of the bunch and absolutely someone you want to root for.

Liv is at times infuriating. She’s so real to life in her choices and heart aches. I want to sit her down and just give it to her straight, then give her a cup of tea, a warm blanket, and a Cayson.

We even get a tie-in with another K.K. Allen series and I want more!

And as per usual, Ms. Allen made me cry, so get some tissues handy and get ready to give your heart over to the Bexley Brothers.

Cayson finally gets his story told!!!

I love Cay, he's probably my favorite Bexley brother right now (eventhough they're all gorgeous and amazing). Cayson is sweet, a little shy and he has been through so much, he got dealt a hard hand with his family and then he lost his biggest love.

Olivia is happy, knows what she wants in life and is not afraid to get it, but she doesn't know how things will turn for the better in Camp Bexley.

I'm happy this two get their happy ending, specially Cay after everything that happened to him. I really love this family and group of people.

It was ok. Maybe I would have liked it more if I’d read the other books in the series about The other Bexley brothers. Cayson is the youngest Bexley son. He’s come back to the family after his military career ended in him being injured when the plane he was piloting crashed. He’s a hero.

Although it’s a stand alone there was a story line that I felt I was supposed to know about and I obviously didn’t so that did annoy me a little. The inclusion of a character called Lyric felt completely unnecessary to me.

Cayson has an immediate attraction to Olivia Jade. She’s a confident, successful music producer and has a thing about rock stars. She doesn’t have a thing about wounded veterans so she isn’t interested in a relationship with Cayson. I wasn’t keen on the storyline but it as well written.

I've just only read 3 books by this author and I can say that I'm hooked.
K.K. Allen has this amazing writing that will wake up all the feelings.
Blanket of Stars is her latest release and it's the fourth book from the Camp Bexley series.
Despite the fact that this book is a standalone I advise you to read the first three books.
You'll love it and won't regret it.
This book explores the lives of Cayson and Olivia.
Cayson's life is in the Air Force. Flying is his love until one accident made him lose everything.
After that, he was medically discharged and sent home to recover from the accident.
Being back, he's among family, his brothers, and what better way to recover?
Olivia is one feisty girl. She's determined but behind it all, it hides a scared girl that doesn't trust herself or her feelings.
She's in a relationship with a rockstar but something is missing.
When she moves to the house next to Cayson, sparks fly but she can't pursue anything right?...
Oh boy, the first three books were amazing and this one was spectacular.
Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and intense.
These two share an amazing connection and it's awesome to see their friendship evolve into something more.
Both of them have issues, and with the help of each other, they were able to overcome everything.
You need to forgive yourself in order to heal. It's not easy but with proper help, you will succeed.
And the chemistry they share... Oh boy.
Loved the fact that we kept having glimpses of the other brothers and families.
I love those guys.
This book was the perfect conclusion to an amazing series.
I'm gonna miss them.
Awesome book K.K. Allen. You nailed it.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

With Blanket Of Stars by K. K. Allen Camp Bexley Series comes to and end . And what a grand finale it is . This story and the whole series was such an amazing emotional whirlwind . Every one of the characters in this series comes to a point where they have to choose to change and grow so they can continue with their lives and to find peace and happiness . But that journey begins with forgiveness and continue with love . And Cayson, the last of the Bexley brothers knows that well. He's the voice of reason for his brothers but when it comes to him he has to leave his comfort zone so he can see all the opportunities waiting for him out there. I loved the scene when he and Olivia met for the first time . But when they become neighbors then the sparks start to fly . And let me tell you that even as friends with benefits they have a great relationship . They were so supportive and encouraging and understanding of each other . Olivia was always there for Cayson in his recovery and figuring out his future. Cayson supported and encouraged Olivia in her business ventures. I loved all those references to Top Gun and the karaoke nights . The chemistry between them was of the charts and that slow burn overheated my Kindle . And let me tell you that plane wing picnic scene was sooo hot 🔥. They have their happily ever after and all those sneak peeks of the other brothers and their lives just sweeten the end of the series .

Best Bexley brother yet!

I loved falling more and more in love with the Camp Bexley world with every story. And, Cayson Bexley absolutely stole my mind, heart, and soul in Blanket of Stars.

After a tragic accident that stole his career and the only thing he ever loved. Cayson comes home broken and feeling like half the man he used to be. After about a year of being home and working to heal and rehabilitate, he runs into Olivia and she's the first person to catch his attention and brighten his life. Only problem is Olivia is in a long distant "relationship" with a certain rock star we met in Heart of Stone. So she places Cayson strictly in the friend zone.

These two characters shared a connection right from the beginning. You could feel it flowing off of the pages. I loved watching their friendship grow and that they truly became best friands. Watching their feelings blossom into something more was beautiful and together they could conquer anything.

This story was full of healing and finding ones self. Overcoming tragedies and believing in your self worth. It's amazing how finding the right person or surrounding yourself with the right people can help you heal you in a way you never knew you could or even needed, and that shows in this book.

K.K. Allen always delivers on giving us an outstanding story. Her words are always so beautiful and I always anticipate what she'll write next. Of course, this book was no exception. One of my favorite series to date and I'm so sad to see the Bexley world end but am so glad I was along for the entire heart wrenching ride.

Oh my freaking heart! I swear this book was one hell of an emotional ride- but a damn good one! I loved Benson & Brooklyn story in Heart of Stone, but I was really excited & anxious for Cayson & Olivia’s! This book was such a beautiful & emotional book, & it was a fantastic ending to the series- one I’m very sad to see end. I can’t begin to express how incredible Cayson was, he’s sweet, loyal, caring, & strong. After being injured when his plane crashed, he was discharged f/the Air Force & is back home recovering when he meets Olivia (Brooklyn’s best friend). He is instantly attracted to her, but she still has a thing w/Tyler- who she met in Heart of Stone. Even though all they have is a couple of actual dates & late night phone calls, all she wants him to do is commit & when he doesn’t she ends things. That’s when she makes a deal w/Cayson, she’ll “tutor” him & he has to promise not to fall in love w/her. He agrees, knowing he’ll never be able to keep it. And when things get serious, & he finally admits he wants more, but she doesn’t, he ends their arrangement.
Which was the wake up call she needed to realize what an incredible guy she had. I was getting irritated by how Olivia kept acting at times. And was glad when she woke up, but then news hit the brothers that had my heart breaking! I had tears in my eyes.
I can’t express how much I loved this story, & can’t recommend it enough! There’s so much more to this story than just a romance between Cayson & Olivia. The entire story is truly beautiful.

This is hands down the best book I read this month 💕
It is the story of Cayson (CayBear) and Olivia. This is a story of self discovery. It is a story of forgiveness. It is a story of family ties and love. It is a story of two neighbors and friends that share their love for music and that find their own path in life.
What do you do when everything you know and makes you you seems lost? Cayson is faced with the sad truth that he will never fly for the Air Forces and still has a of recovery to do. But who is he without flying? With the love and support of his family and friends, including the only woman that triggered his interest, he will find out.
Olivia breaths music. She is just music. She wants to find her own path in life through her work, without the help of her rock famous family. She also thinks her perfect match must be a rock star bad boy. But her neighbor, the Baby Bexley, CayBear, the man with the baby face, will show her that looks can be deceiving and sometimes what you need is not always what you thought.
I loved their evolution and their fight to get over all the obstacles thrown their way.
I love that I got to see the entire Bexley family 💕
It was the perfect finish of the series 😌 and I have to admit that it walked me through so many emotions...
And I have to praise KK on her writing... She is so talented 💕 she masterfully painted a beautiful picture of love, acceptance, innocence and lust.
Cayson is my favorite Bexley brother 💕
And this book deserves 100/5 stars 🤩 I highly recommend it 💕

Cayson Bexley is my new favorite Bexley brother!!💖

Blanket Under the Stars is a slow burn, but super sensual book. It brought out all the butterflies felt when falling in love for the first time, along with all the big time flames brought about with passionate first time kisses, touches, and everything that comes after that. Yes, Cayson is dreamy and steamy.

Cayson reminded me a lot of Captain America. Yes, there is that military similarity, but it's also in his innocence and just down-hearted goodness. Cayson is extremely likeable and while it would seem hard that a man like him, chock full of heroism and sweetness, hasn't had a girlfriend or made it past any of the bases...once you get to know him it makes a lot more sense. His inner light shines through and I only wanted good things for him.

Olivia on the other hand, not that she's the total opposite being a bad girl, she's just experienced and full of energy. Both of her parents are rock stars and Olivia grew up on the road while they toured. While Olivia found that life exciting, she now wants to keep roots and build a business and name for herself. She has no problem taking charge of herself and being Cayson's tutor in the bedroom and I'll just say Cayson is an excellent student.

These two are magic together, but at times I did want to smack Oliva for not realizing Cayson is absolutely perfect, but I could also understand where she was coming from.

As the youngest brother of the Bexley's and with this being the last book in this series, it was the perfect ending to wrap up a fantastic storyline.

Welp KK saved the best for last!! CayBear has my heart. He is so sweet, charming, loyal, sexay and just a breath of fresh air. He may not have all the experience that he wishes to have but he sure is a good student;)

Olivia has Cayson under her spell—I mean under her tutorship;) do that he can be confident & experienced once he finds the right girl…only he has and he will do whatever he needs to to keep her.

My heart was so full & so broken when the boys & Andrew were together. It takes a strong person to admit their shortcomings & faults and it takes an even stronger person to forgive them. My heart is happy that the boys and Andrew got to a point of forgiveness and moving on.

💕fave quotes 📖

Taking her bait was a mistake. She wants to be my tutor, to help me get any woman I want. But I already know she’s going to fail in her mission. Because the only woman I’ll ever want is the exact woman I can never have.

He may be a shy guy, but he kisses like a porn star in church—like he’s desperate for it but it’s forbidden to him all at once.—-🔥🔥🔥

We’re a family, good and bad, and our legacy will only be what we make of it.—-I love this…there are no truer words 💕
