From the outside looking in Jensen Lund is living on easy street. There is no easy street when injury sidelines your career and leaves you doubting yourself. Determined to fight his way through the storm, he sets out to gain back his losses, but ends up meeting two people who change his life. Rowan knows what it means to fight. Nothing has come easy to her and despite the roadblocks she doesn't give up. She works hard at making ends meet and building a better life for her and her son. In no way does she need another heartache. Until Jensen has her questioning whether she should listen to her brain or follow her heart. Lorelei James, knows what it takes to get readers invested in her stories. Strong central characters, excellent writing and eclectic dialogue are just the thing to keep readers coming back for more. When I Need You is the beginning of a series that blends these three traits with a bit of heat on the side. Copyright of Night Owl Reviews

Jensen, heir to the Lund fortune and pro-football player and Rowan, cheerleader and single mom, both have rules to live by when it comes to getting romantically involved with someone. They meet, decide to be friends only but those so-called rules are quickly thrown out the window. When I Need You is a great read and you'll love Jensen and Rowan as they connect. Rowan's son Calder is a cutie who grabs a piece of Jensen's heart too. Lorelei James doesn't fumble on her way to a touchdown in this latest book in the Need You series.

This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: I always say this, and I will continue to say this – Lorelei James is one of my absolute favorite authors. She just knows how to write a great story! Her contemporary romances are among some of my must reads, and When I Need You is no exception. This is the story of Jensen and Rowan. Two very stubborn and determined individuals who find that their greatest weakness in life is one another. From the get-go, I knew these two were going to be wonderful together. I knew they were going to have great chemistry and I knew that the drama would be just enough to keep me hooked without turning me away. I loved how Jensen and Rowan fought against all of the stereotypes that come with being a star athlete and cheerleader, and managed to find a perfect happily ever after. This series is superb. It’s so well written, so much fun, and so sweet, that I absolutely cannot wait for the next one. ***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own***
