So excited!
It looks great, rides smooth, closes easily and is relatively light. Much lighter than what I was dragging around with me before. So happy with this purchase. I wish I came with a cup holder but I guess I'll just buy the accessories.

The truth about the actual difference between the older model city mini stroller and this one, unbiased and not as a preferred Vine customer !! I was so confused when ordering the City Mini on amazon, I could see the 2016 version was $60 more expensive than the older which I was happy to pay if there was any significant improvements but having called baby jogger and spoken to a sales rep everyone was unclear about any significant improvements and then I saw the Vine customer review for this product stating there was a real improvement in the newer one with one-hand use steering and overall use, which to be honest was still a bit vague for my liking - what is one-hand steering? But it was enough to make me want to order both strollers and test them out. FIRST THING TO BE AWARE OF: this may state 2016 model but it was manufactured in 2015, the older model that you can see as a cheaper price on Amazon ( around $200) is manufactured in 2014 so they are a year apart.
Now for the actual differences between the 2 models: the newer model has a slightly longer handlebar, literally probably by an inch which could be handy for a taller person, (I'm 5"7 and my husband 6" and it didn't make any difference to us), secondly the underneath basket hangs ever so slightly lower on the newer model creating a bit more space when the seat is in full recline for you to bend down and put your stuff in, again this is so slight that it did not make a difference to me- actually I preferred the older model as felt that if I have any valuables down there there is less of a gap to fall out or for anyone to snatch. Thirdly, there is the smallest difference in the front design fabric of the stroller where a larger kid would have his/ her feet hanging the fabric is pulled taut on the newer version where as it has a slight dimple for resting in the older stroller, I don't know if this makes any difference to the use of the stroller or if it is simply the design. Lastly, in the older design the material that covers the back window ( where babies head is parallel to) is attached to the umbrella canopy on the older version, in the newer it is attached to the stroller, again not even sure why this was changed but makes no difference...

No difference was noted in steering at all or overall ease of use, no illusionary one-hand steering that I could notice !! The pull collapse mechanism is exactly the same on both strollers, for me the decision was clear to keep the 2014 version as there really was no significant difference. The only reason for writing such a detailed review is that it took me quite a long time to compare these strollers and the Vine review on Amazon for this product confused me further with its comparison encouraging to buy the newer product which for someone that received the product for free in exchange for a review is disappointing as a customer paying full price and comparing the two strollers the differences were clear but not related to ease of use at all.

So my opinion is to save your money and go for the older version as there are not any significant differences, an additional little tip for getting a 15% discount, if you are a prime member you can set-up a baby registry and upon completion you will get a 15% discount on any products on your registry which brought down the cost again for me on the older model, if it doesn't show as eligible for a discount wait a week as it changed to eligible after a week for me.

Just to be clear I did not receive this product for a discount or for free in exchange for a review, I just wanted to help anyone else in my position not to waste time like I did, [...]

I love this stroller. I'm only 5ft 2in & I read that the handle is too high for a short person, but I don't know how short that reviewer is. The handle is U shape & the highest part of the handle is very comfortable for me [I have long legs for a short woman, but I don't think that would make a difference]. The best thing is a strap in the seat that when you pull on it, the stroller easily fold so even I can put it in my trunk almost one handed. It also steers with one hand. The sunshade is very big with peekaboo windows that the fabric rolls up & Velcro out of the way. Only a couple negatives, one being the 2 part shoulder strap that are extra long. I know it's like that so you can get the child out easily & adjustable, but with a wiggling almost 8 month old [no I didn't invest in the anchor for the infant seat because my grandson fits fine since he was 10 lbs at birth] plus one who loves to chew on the extra long straps, I find those annoying. My daughter has a Chicco stroller & her shoulder straps are the same, so it's not a feature just in this stroller. Also you have to buy the front tray [and parent console in the back] separate. The underneath basket is small, but I have diaper bag that straps onto the stroller handle which I find more convenient than putting it underneath, plus my bag has ample room for my cellphone & bottle of water, so I'm good, but it's something to consider if you need that cup holder for yourself. If you need a stroller that's easy to handle, fold & unfold & store in your car this is a great stroller. One other plus, with a young grandchild, the back is very adjustable for sleeping or wide awake, with a squeeze of a clamp & a pull of a strap.

Great stroller. Perfect height, comfortable for the grandson, and super easy to push!

I have 2 quibbles:

It would be nice at this price point if they included either the weather shield, the adult pouch/cup holder, or the kid's tray.

Also since the handle is curved instead of straight, it puts a slightly uncomfortable strain on my wrists to push because my hands are at different angles, not straight out.

I will probably get used to it, but luckily the stroller is so easy to guide that one-handed operation isn't a problem. Which also gives me a free hand to hold the cup for which there is no holder.

After literally months of research, including accosting young parents on the street about their strollers, I had put the City Mini in my cart then gotten distracted. A few weeks later right before Christmas, I got a prompt that said the price had been dropped temporarily by $70! So I immediately bought it and also finally took advantage of the Amazon credit offer for another $70 off, so I'm quite happy all around, thank you.

We now have three strollers, and this one is my favorite. It's not the best workhorse stroller, and it's not the best jogging stroller, but if you need a great, all-purpose stroller, that is lightweight, folds compactly, can hold an infant car seat as an option, is light enough to be gate checked at an airport (less than 20 lbs.), and is rugged enough to tackle most surfaces (e.g., cobblestones and uneven pavement, along with dirt and gravel roads), look no further. We still use our original large stroller that came with the infant car seat, when we need a big workhorse stroller. And for real jogging, my husband still uses the Juvy 360. But for traveling, this is way better than those flimsy umbrella strollers, and we can use it for everyday use, as well.

We needed a new stroller for our 6 month old. We had the infant car seat/stroller combo but he quickly out grew that. The assemble process was a breeze (Youtube helps if needed). Our son loves being able to see what's going on and is very comfy rolling around in this jogger. I personally love the front wheel - makes for a smooth ride and easy to use with one hand. WORD OF CAUTION - this bad boy and really move - it moves effortlessly so don't let go of the stroller before locking the breaks. @iamjudijohnson @iam.babymateo ;)
