This started out so sweet and when it moved to heavier topics, I was so emotionally invested in the characters, I ached for them. But at the heart of it all is a man who meets a woman, and despite the fact she wants to but won’t, doesn’t give up. Jackson has watched all his teammates find happiness, and he wants that so bad, but nothing is working out for him. When he randomly meets Mia, he knows there is something there. Mia has too much going on in her life and doesn’t believe in happily ever afters. Life has taught her they simply don’t exist, so she sees no reason into deluding herself. She can’t resist Jackson though, and these two start out on a “just one more date” journey. Lots and lots of steamy moments, and some very wonderful not steamy moments, have their hearts engaged. A few false starts happen before these two get that HEA they both so deserve and want <3

I have over 350 romance books on my tablet, and this book easily ranks as top 3. It is sexy, funny, and well written. I highly recommend it.
