1. As specifically written in the manual, you must use a computer USB outlet to charge it. I haven't been able to charge them with any other USB charger so far. Especially if you travel, unless you carry a laptop with you you can't charge these. 2. There's a long (approximately 2 seconds) lag in the sound transfer from the device you're connected to. Useless for watching anything and using these to listen to it. Way out of sync. 3. It's a fit-inside ear canal device like an earplug. Even with the smallest tip it barely fits inside my ears. I normally use medium with other products including previous SONYs. It's painful and uncomfortable after a couple of hours. 4. Noise cancelling is not noticable. Being that these fit deep inside the ear canal (or else they'll fall out), they block noise like an earplug anyway. What's the point of ANC if you have to put up with the discomfort of in the ear plugs?
Bought this at Bestbuy and just had to return it. The battery life is atrocious, connection is unbearable, really bad audio delays while playing video clips, underwhelming ANC and they charge $200 for this rubbish. It was my bad for not doing the proper research beforehand, but wasn't Sony synonymous with quality when it came to audio products? especially for their 1000s which are supposed to be flagships. Just can't believe they decided to put this unusable $200 earplug on the market and I really can't imagine any scenario where this thing would be useful to anybody. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS.
I purchased these earbuds from Best Buy when they first came out. This is a very bad product because the right earbud cuts out a lot. Infact there have been times where I was in a mall around a number of bluetooth devices where I just quite using the earbuds because the right earbuds skips every few seconds. Do not purchase. Sony should have never sold such a bad product.
Excellent value for money when compared with other brands. Now there is no issues of frequent disconnection as mentioned in earlier reviews, firmware version 1.0.7 solves connection issue. Now new version of firmware is out and it has improved performance of ear phones a lot. Overall very good and balanced sound quality... Noise cancellation is good too
Sound quality is great - I would give a 5-star rating if I was only going on the sound.
However, there is no way to adjust the volume from the headphones themselves, which is a bizarre omission for 'true wireless' headphones
The Bluetooth connection is somewhat flaky - there are a number of similar comments online regarding this, so it's not just my set
The app Sony provides is clever in that it determines what environment you're in, and adjusts the profile accordingly, but Sony is obviously very proud of their cleverness, so the app plays an annoying little alert every time the profile is changed, and there's no way to disable it
I'm also very unimpressed with the battery life - i'm lucky to get 2 hours listening before the headphones need to be recharged (after which they cut out with no warning), and the case only recharges 3 times before it, too, needs to be recharged
It was a close call on my part as to whether I would keep them or return them - in the end, the audio quality was enough to make up my mind to keep them
It is not like it is worst, but sony's performance as a premium gadgets company.. it is very awful. It have some pro but more cons.. Pros: 1. Sound is very good 2. Bass is also good 3. For such a small gadget battery capacity is also good 4. Design is very nice That's it Now see the cons
Cons: 1. Connectivity poor, if will walk only suddenly right earplug will stop and then start again.. Very irritating. 2. Worst thing and very irritating thing is there is no sync between audio and video.. You cannot watch youtube, netflix, prime, hotstar... Anyhow you can watch mxplayer videos (thanks to audio sync option in mxplayer's setting) In Bluetooth earpieces generally expected delay is 100 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds but it is more then 1.5 seconds. 3. Noise cancellation never works. 4. Microphone is very poor, other person is not able to hear voice clearly. 5. Ambient sound also do not works 6. And for this price range it is not even water resistant
Seriously for such huge price no customer can expect such problems. And to all customers buy at your on risk, neckband might be better then these.. I will never ever recommend these to anyone. Very disappointed.
