Yes, Seventh Generation toilet paper is great, makes me feel good about helping the planet, and doesn't cost any more that less eco-friendly paper when purchased via Subscribe and Save. But what you REALLY want this product for is the box, which is nice and sturdy and can be transformed into an excellent kitty hideaway as follows:Upend the box onto one of the smaller ends; having the flaps vertical adds stability.Using an exacto knife, cut one to three "entrances" into what are now the sides of the box.The fewer entrances, the more stable the structure will be. Don't make the entrances too big; you want a good 5-6" between the entrance edges and each corner of the box.Now cut eight vertical slits, all at the same height, about 1" from each corner of the box.Find a piece of fabric (fleece is great) larger than the box's footprint; you want it to extend 3-6" beyond the box on all sides. Measure and cut, if needed, marking where the four corners of the box are.Cut on the diagonal from each corner of the fabric to the mark for the box corner. Now slip each fabric "point" through the slits and tie at each corner.Sit back and wait for your cat to make him or herself comfy in its new hammock! If your TP came with other items in an even LARGER box, well, then you're almost in "cat tree" territory; you can make a multi-level sleeper / climber that doesn't cost a fortune and can easily be tossed / recycled once the kitties have collapsed or shredded it.And if your'e especially crafty, or just don't want an ugly carboard box in your living area, you could pain the box, or cover it with fabric. I have one of these where I just stapled a piece of printed burlap to the top of the box so that it hangs down in front and disguises it (cat entrances are at the sides).

SECOND UPDATE: I returned the white, Febreeze-smelling package and got new ones. These are unbleached and non-smelly as expected, same Seventh-Gen product I've come to rely on. Text of original review and update below.

UPDATE: I'm sending this package back for several reasons (my earlier 5-star review appears below this update):
1. The ad says that this is UNBLEACHED tissue and the photo shows it to be tan. That's what I wanted, and all I did was reorder from this same page.
2. The shipping box is open at the top because the flaps don't meet in the middle. The shipping box is just the packing box they would send to a store, not a secure shipping box.
3. The plastic-wrap on the paper SMELLS LIKE FEBREEZE, the worst smell on the planet. Maybe that's because the box was open to the world and it has been sitting somewhere where they hose down with Febreeze regularly, like the WalMart warehouse (everything in Walmart stinks of Febreeze, which is why I can't shop there).
4. I can get the whitened kind locally. I ordered it from Amazon so that I could have the unbleached kind.
5. The unbleached kind is about $10 more expensive than the white kind on Amazon, and I paid for the unbleached kind, sooo, you know....
I could use this paper around the house for cleaning (not on my skin or on my lab table), but. I'm sending this back because I want the supplier to understand that this makes a big difference to me. They can't simply substitute another product. They also shouldn't send it in an open box, and they shouldn't store a fragrance-free product where it can absorb the revolting Febreeze odors. I'm annoyed that I had this experience.

PREVIOUS REVIEW TEXT (when they sent me the correct item, which was the unbleached tissue). This is lint-free, dust-free, reasonably strong tissue. Wondering where that layer of dust in your house is coming from? It might be your tp! Hold up a sheet with the sun behind it and tear it in half, and watch the cloud of snow blow around. This one doesn't do that.

Allergies mean that I blow my nose a lot, and contact lenses mean that every other facial tissue and toilet tissue fills my eyes with tissue dust.

As toilet tissue, I agree with other reviewers who induced me to try this: it is even less irritating than 7th-Gen's bleached white tissue. I never even knew this could be an issue. Now I'm having trouble understanding why people feel the need to bleach tissue.

I also use this tissue to clean my microscope lenses, slides, and magnifying glass and it leaves them almost completely lintless. It's a permanent fixture on the lab table where little spills and dribble down the sides of bottles happen all day, need a completely clean (i.e., new and unused) wipe, but are too small to justify a whole paper towel; I just use one or one half square and toss it.

When I catch a cold, I scatter these rolls around the house. It's not as soft as other tissues, but it is very smooth. To me the lint from softer tissues is more irritating than wiping my nose with this lint-free stuff.

For use outside the bathroom, I make pop-up tissue by removing the cardboard core and pulling the tissue up from the middle of the roll. On the lab table, I do the same, but thread the tissue down through a wire shelf so I can tear off pieces one-handed.

I hope that this tissue will be available in stores soon. For now I have to order it from Amazon.

With the cost of toilet paper being what it is my family and I got in the habit of picking up whatever toilet paper was on sale.

Unfortunately, this lead to trouble for me who has sensitivities and allergies to many products including many soaps, lotions and mass produced feminine products that are made with bleach.

I got on to the allergic reaction that I had to bleached feminine products several years ago but never put enough thought into my toilet paper affecting my sensitive skin as well.

And bleach is not the only culprit when it comes to toilet paper. The thicker the paper like Charmin or Northern the worse it is as well because they use formaldehyde to thicken it.

So if you have irritation that at times makes you feel like you have a yeast infection on your outer skin. Than chances are that you are allergic to your toilet paper as well.

This toilet paper is not white and looks like a creamy beige color to me. Not having white toilet paper was a bit weird at first but now I like the color.

This toilet paper lasts a long time because it is very absorbent and each roll has 400 sheets X 48 rolls.

It is not super soft but I do not find it rough on my skin.

This toilet paper is 2 ply and is smooth on one side and has a raised pattern on the other side. Similar to Angel Soft's raised pattern but not rough and the paper is much thicker than Angel Soft.

My skin problem totally cleared up in under a week and I am so glad to have that problem solved and that I can now avoid that horrid reaction in the future.

Nice and environmentally great but a little thinner than normal tp and it tears mid wipe more easily. You just have to be gentle and once you get the hang of it it's good. I have a composting toilet and humanure setup so I was looking for something without chemicals to mess things up. This stuff will be my regular stuff for now.

This is toilet paper. It's non bleached which is good for our rivers. It seems soft enough and is pretty tough. It's expensive though. Less input should result in a savings to the consumer but alas, I think they want to take advantage of the "Eco" in their product and charge a premium. I wont buy this again unless it comes down to "Earth" in price.
