Pool fun!!!!!!!!!!

Pool fun!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this pool crossing my fingers, many good and bad reviews said things were missing or that the pool had holes out of the box. This was my first pool of this type and I have several friends with similar pools working fine. My box was missing the dvd instruction and the waterproof glue in the repair kit. The material of the pool is flimsy for $100+ that I paid for the pool and you have to treat it very carefully. You can see the dents from being boxed and the bottom lining is even softer... I looked up on youtube and found instructions for building the pool and even for the water filter that comes with it. I built the pool mostly by myself, hubby just helped me stretch out the bottom of the pool flat..There are many metal pieces but they are easy to distinguish, the one with two holes goes across with the curvy t one and then the legs snap into place to stand the pool up.. once I filled up the pool I noticed a hole at the bottom and two tiny pin holes on one side. without the repair kit it was a bummer. I fixed it with a pool repair kit from k-mart. I barely lost water by holding the hole at the bottom with a vinyl repair patch and a weight until I got a repair kit. Youtube also has repair instructions.. very easy-glue and stick. I also found the written instructions for the water filter confusing and that was on youtube. I bought 3 inch chlorine tablets and placed one in a chlorine dispenser, I tested the water with a kit from kmart since the one I bought on amazon did not arrive at that point and I added a bit of ph plus. I bought a $5.00 algaecide and poured about 2 oz just in case, since my pool is under the open sun. It took a long time to fill up the pool, maybe I don't have enough water pressure.. and since then it has been nothing but fun in the sun. The water is clear and I have not had to add anything else to it. I put the filter to run two hours and it seems to be working fine. It beats drilling the ground to set up a pool. My yard is a concrete floor and I did place a mat at the bottom of the pool. It was easier than what I thought and I think Intex should make these pools stronger... and make sure all parts including dvd and repair kit are included . I do warn the kids to use the bathroom often and not the pool as a bathroom, they bathe before entering pool and I use a fish net to catch any tiny bugs that die in the pool... fun fun fun, I like it but come on they can make them better...I have learned to scoop out bugs and shock the pool and filter it daily and add ph up and check the ph and chlorine level . I can't lie although having a pool at home in NYC is fun it is time consuming. Many times I make the kids wait 3 to 4 hrs to use the pool to ensure the pool is filtered and that ph levels and etc. are correct. I have the whole summer off ;) so this is not terrible but it's something to think about :). I took off the strainer from the bottom hole in the pool that attaches to the filter to allow bugs to filter through the pump and since I have a concrete yard I haven't had problems with algae. My neighbors have plants and so I do encounter bugs especially after rain so I use a small mount of the shocking powder for this small pool. Fun fun fun :)

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME
Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2020
This 10 x 30’ pool is a good size. It's roomy enough for several people to splash around, but not large enough to be overwhelming. We have a modest sized yard and it fits fine. Our 4 and 6-year-old sons love being in it and are much more confident than when they’re in the large community type pools. We can also control the water level if we don’t want it to be too deep. When filled to the top it comes up to about hip-level for me (I’m 5’3”).

Assembly is a little tedious, but easy to do. It takes us about 1 1/2 hours at the most. Filling it up takes a few hours.

The pool also comes with a filter, which works great, but we also buy separate chlorine tabs. Be sure to use a floating canister though; otherwise if you throw the tab in by itself it'll bleach the bottom of your pool. It does not come with a ladder, but getting in and out of it isn’t difficult for an average size person. Otherwise you can use a foot stool.

Overall material is sturdy. We’ve had this pool for a year now without any noticeable wear and tear. Only negative is that after using the pool for a couple of weeks it will turn the grass underneath yellow. You could put this pool on asphalt, but it’d be a good idea to use some type of padding underneath to soften the ground. If putting it over grass, would recommend using a tarp over the grass first. This will prevent grass from growing through the bottom of the pool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy setup
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2022
Easy to set up, easier with 2 people, and quite a bit easier with 3. One thing I cannot stress enough: Use Talc powder. You'll have to order it, it is NOT in stores in the U.S. You find it mixed in with other stuff, but you need just pure talc. Makes it so much easier sliding the poles in and hopefully the same when taking it apart for winter. We already had a decently level area with sand, as we used to have a very large above ground pool and deck, finally took it all down several years ago. Too much work the older we got. Then I started missing my pool in the baking hot summer here in New Mexico. The prices on these finally got back down to a decent level, and all I really wanted was something to float around in and cool off. This fits that wish perfectly. It's big enough that the 4 of us, my hubby, myself, and 2 young adult kids, can sit or float in it with plenty of room. Could easily fit 2 more. As others have said, the pump is lacking, but so far I'm ok with it. I got a floating chlorine tablet dispenser and break up the big disks because it was far cheaper than the small ones which are more expensive and hard to find. I bought name brand test strips locally and just kind of winged it deciding how much to put in. I test and decide if I need more. So far the water has stayed nice, we've had it set up almost a month. It's very slightly not totally level by about an inch, which we'll work out next summer before we set it back up. I'll be happy with this if I get another couple summers out of it.
