Making Positive Habits Permanent

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I absolutely would. Maintaining good habits and breaking poor ones is a vicious cycle and my reading of this book could not have come at a better time. The start of the year is a good time to make resolutions, but resolutions aren't as lasting as setting a foundation of good habits. This book offers easy tweaks to your day-to-day life which make a huge difference.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the flow and how the author was able to link everything back together. As I mentioned, breaking bad habits and creating good ones can be a vicious "chicken and egg" cycle. It's important to do both to live a healthy life.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the whole book but I loved the introduction. It sucked me right into the book. I almost forgot that it was going to be an informative book based on how entertaining it was.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Setting a schedule for a habit. I'm trying to swap out coffee for green tea. By starting each day with a glass of green tea, I'm developing a healthy habit.

Really enjoyed listening to this one! Very helpful

This audio is awesome! After listening to it I chose my best top 5 new habits to make and it has really made a difference in my life! The advice on eliminating bad habits was very good as well. Just by eliminating some of my bad eating habits and tv watching habits and adding in positive habits to replace them things have been going very well for me! Highly recommended!

Make some New Habits

We all have habits we wish we didn't have. Habits aren't the same as hobbies. You can choose hobbies and interests. But when something is a habit it isn't necessarily a good thing. This book helps you know, understand and develop some of the best habits to help you be successful in life. I recommend this book to anyone who feels dull and lifeless and needs some positivity in their lives. Great suggestions and ideas! Pick it up!

Develop good habits, break bad ones

They say bad habits are hard to break and believe me, it's true. I've been trying to break a few of my bad habits for years, while simultaneously trying to cultivate good habits. I've been unsuccessful, until now. This easy-to-listen-to audio book delivers easy to understand information in an interesting way. Since listening, I've learned about good habits that can transform and have far-reaching effects on my life and success. I've also learned how to replace my bad habits with good ones. This book has really changed the way I live. Highly recommeded.

Habit is a book that I have not yet read the print version of, but I always prefer audio versions, since I can listen to them in the car.

Essential Habits

We can all benefit from good habits. McCloud explains the science behind building habits and how to make good habits stick while getting rid of bad ones. He explains that good habits are essential from building productivity to strengthening your relationships. The audio book clearly explains why building good habits are so essential to a successful life. A must read!

Breaking bad habits and gaining some good ones

I was mostly interested in this book because I wanted to break a bad habit that has stuck with me since childhood. I found the advice to be very pointed and easily followed. What I didn't expect was to find so many good suggestions creating good habits. I've been able to move from choice to habit with the help of this book and create a better lifestyle for me and my family.
