How About No is the third book in the Bear Bottom Guardians MC series by Lani Lynn Vale. I love sitting down with Vale’s next book each month. She’s created this incredible fictional world, with interconnected stories and series and characters, and with each new book she releases, she builds upon those worlds. The result is a very unique reading experience, one that is distinctly Lani Lynn Vale. What makes this even more special, though, is the fact that she’s crafted these stories in such a way that new readers can ease in at any point and go forward—although, once they get started, they’ll be hooked and want to go back to see how it all began.

Another hallmark of Vale’s storytelling is that she writes about everyday heroes. Police officers, firemen, paramedics – Lani writes them in such a natural and realistic way that her readers can’t help but fall for these good men. How About No is a second-chance romance and features police officer, Wade Johnson. He’s a good guy, a biker, and he is still deeply in love with his ex-wife. Landry Hill is a good woman with a heart of gold, but she’s got serious demons from the horrific childhood she endured. When she met Wade, she thought she’d finally found someone who would always choose her first, so when the opportunity came for him to do just that and he didn’t, it shattered what was left of her heart. The problem is that while they might be divorced, they still love each other, and that chemistry sizzles between them whenever they’re near each other.

Vale crafted a story with so many twists and turns in How About No. I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of it, sometimes audibly gasping in surprise. Full of Vale’s fantastic sense of humor, a host of side characters whose stories I can’t wait to read, and a couple whose reconnection I was fully invested in from the first page, How About No is another winner in a series full of them. Once again, LLV has put out a story that brings out all kinds of emotions. I was all over the place. One minute, I was sad, the next I was unbelievably angry, and then I had the warm fuzzies! It was fabulous! (I love a story that really gets my emotions going. So far, the Bear Bottom Guardians MC has really gone above and beyond, in that aspect!)

Wade is a police officer in Bear Bottom, a member of the BBGMC, and is still in love with his ex-wife. He isn't really sure why she's his ex, but knows that he screwed up, big time! So, he bides his time, waiting for his chance.

Landry is a woman who had a childhood that was beyond horrible. After escaping from a family who only viewed her as a means to an end, she thought she had finally found her HEA. Until her HEA wasn't so happy. Tired of never being put first, she takes things in her own hands and moves on with her life. And then things change again!

I love a good second chance at happiness, and this one was among the most interesting that I've read. I never in a million years could have seen this coming! Totally shocked to my core! There were so many twists and turns, surprises that came completely out of the blue. I loved Landry and Wade, and their story is one that I won't soon forget! (And I totally LOL'd when I realized who Wade is, but that is a surprise that I'm not giving away!)

I haven't read her books in a while but something about the story drew me in and read it all in one sitting. Landry had a very tough childhood and that she survived it was a miracle. She became a strong woman but deep down inside the scars are there. Wade met Landry and knew from the money he saw her that they were meant to be together. He made a dumb mistake that cost him Landry.
Apart both of them are miserable, but phone call bring them back together. The pull is still there between them but Landry fights it. Just as she is fighting it Wade is just as determined to get her back. When someone targets Landry, Wade becomes the alpha male that he is to protect his woman.
Usually stories start as this: man meets woman, they fall in love and deal with problems if any and happy ending the end. Wade and Landry know each other so the connection is already in place. The story wouldn't have been the same if it started from scratch. Some say that Landry should have told Wade about her past. I think if she did he he wouldn't have really listened, It had to come from someone else for him to understand.
This story has it all, a second chance at love, humor, suspense and worth the read.

Another Bear Bottom MC story, woohoo. This is a completely different type of MC and a refreshing change too, every time I read one of these stories I find myself totally engrossed in the wonderful characters and storyline. This book is no different!

Landry met Wade Johnson when he helped his fellow police partner out by taking his class for the day. That meeting started things that led to their marriage, then divorce! However both were not happy!

These two characters are fantastic together but this story really demonstrates how a stuffed up childhood can cause untold damage to someone later in life. As well how cruel and uncaring some parents are toward a particular child. The character development, as the story unfolds, enables us to get to know them at a much deeper level, especially with the story told from both of their perspectives. I will admit Landry did annoy me a tiny bit in the beginning but even she faced this herself.

A true sense of family is felt in this story, the brothers pulling together to support first Wade then Landry. It really is is an amazing feeling when reading these scenes. There is also a healthy dose of fun banter and camaraderie which supports this brotherhood.

This fast paced, easy to read story hooks you from the beginning and doesn’t let go until you have finished reading the very last word. This book is literally packed with loads of action, drama and there is certainly never a dull moment to be had at any time.

I enjoyed the background mystery and mayhem that kept the characters on their toes and things hopping with some exciting and scary situations. However....the best part was the fantastic ending!

This is one of the best Lani Lynn Vale books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Honestly I love all her books but this one I dunno there was just something extra about it. This book completely sucked my soul into and I got deeply emmersed with all the people in this story.

Wade and Landry were a beautiful story to read, they both broke my heart and made me happy, They were an absolute Joy to follow them on their Journey.

I would absolutely recommend this author to anyone who loves ex-military, law enforcement, Emmergency services, Hot Bikers and alot of amazing men and women, Women who have alot of sass. This is the first book in the series that I've read and I'll definitely be checking out the earlier ones.

I really enjoyed the story and the characters even though they did infuriate me at times. I just wanted them to talk more but then I guess there wouldn't be a story. Wade and Landry's story is a second chance love story where neither have moved on. The reason for the break up is a recurring part of the book and I felt it was done really well.
