For my needs, this speaker works well but I don't know that it will be the case for everyone. I wanted a small, classy, looking wireless speaker with good quality sound, that I could leave plugged into power to enhance the audio of my new Amazon Echo Dot. It fits all the requirements perfectly and if that is what you intend for this speaker than I can easily recommend this. If this isn't your intention, then there may be a few issues.This is now my 4th Anker wireless speaker and I've been satisfied to impressed with all of them. For the price the design and audio quality on all of them have been great and it is no different here.I find the audio quality more than acceptable for the size and price of the speaker. In fact it is almost impressively good sound, almost.The sound is 95% clear at all volumes but for certain types of music, it can become a little distorted at max volume. Speaking of the volume, it is more than loud enough to fill a large room or blast music loud enough to play at the beach or a get-together.The weakness for me is mostly in the mids and while that sounds pretty major, they are generally great except for certain times where they can become a little distorted and muffled. If you listen to your music at lower volumes I'd guess you'd rarely run into any major issues with sound quality.The highs were surprisingly good. I usually feel that the highs are sacrificed for the mids or lows in most speaker systems and can be a bit harsh when care isn't taken to keep them clean. In my experience with them so far, the highs are clean throughout the volume and frequency range.There seems to be a focus on this speakers bass and I have to say they are better than most speakers in this size and price range that I have heard. It is clear that the bass was emphasized here but no one should worry about too much bass as this is still a fairly small speaker. You aren't going to get super booming bass but you still get nice bass where you need it.The design of the speaker is very nice and classy. The glossy piano black is a nice touch despite being a fingerprint magnet and the shape is simple but not plain. The buttons are easy to press however the method of changing songs is relegated to holding the + for next and - for previous and I'm not really of fan of this method. This isn't any kind of deal breaker as I probably won't be using the buttons on this speaker much for my intended use.The speaker comes with a USB charging cable and a 3.5mm auxiliary cable. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't come with a wall wort or power adapter as charging through a normal USB port will be slow. I appreciate the male to male 3.5mm cable but would have really liked a wall wort as well.The speaker stays connected to my Echo Dot and I've had no problem with it losing connection or leaving it puffed into power but time will tell of both of those features holds up. I haven't tested battery life yet but will update my review once I have a better idea about it.It does what I need it to at a reasonable price. The audio quality won't match an expensive pair of headphones or speaker system but no one should expect it to. The audio quality is good and close to great for the price even. I am satisfied with my purchase and can recommend this speaker, especially if you're looking for an upgraded speaker for your Echo Dot.
