Frankly, everything about this is better. It uses the same blades, and the same slide mechanism to extend or retract them. It's still heavy enough to give a donkey a concussion, sturdy enough to actually be useful and you won't need to end up wrapping part of it with packing tape to keep the two halves together because you dropped the stupid screw and your cousin Billy ran off with it.
There is nothing about this that is a downgrade. Everything that was great on the initial design is either still great or is even better!
100% will buy this again. Because, like every other useful tool ever, someone's gonna walk off with it at some point. I'd stab them for it except they walked off with my knife!
Shame on Stanley. Whoever designed this idiotic joke of a tool should be sentenced to manual labor, and forced to use products designed by their peers. Hopefully, they know how to tie their shoes.
