Hard to use while wearing gloves

Hard to use while wearing gloves
I have a lot of box cutters. I buy and sell on eBay and buy a ton of stuff on Amazon. I open boxes in two places and break down boxes in another -- and I can never seem to find my box cutter. So, with 2 at each location it doubles my chance of finding one. I have a couple of the classic Stanley 10-099. They never break, they get the job done, but they're boring. I love gadgets so I buy fancy box cutters - ones that fold like a pocket knife, auto load, etc. They never impress. So, I bought this new Stanley 10-788. It feels great in the hand, very easy to load, I even store blades in the compartment. But - if I'm wearing gloves I cannot get the button on this Stanley to move smoothly to extend or retract the blade. The button dives down into the groove and snags. I've never had that problem before. So - I'm keeping the Stanley because it works beautifully in the house - but forget using one outdoors in the cold.
