I love this speaker.
I was going to buy a Bose, but took a chance on this one. I'm glad I did and saved about $70. This sounds great. It's nice to have a separate button for bass boost because it's a feature that I rarely use - it only sounds good in certain circumstances. You can also adjust the sound through the app, so you can tweak it to your preference (within reason).
The lights are fine, but not that interesting to me.. even late at night.
The best feature is its battery life. Rated at 24 hours, I haven't tested it to the end of the battery, but I have used this far more than my last one and still had 50% remaining.
There are 2 minor things that I don't like. 1) compared to my last bluetooth speakers, this doesn't have an independent volume adjustment from the bluetooth setting. My other bluetooth speakers had a volume level, and the bluetooth volume was separate. It's not a huge deal, but... what it does mean is that using the volume + and - on my iPhone is far less useful because the increment is too much. If it had independent volume, I could turn it down on the XB30, which would make the increment less for each click. As it is, I find myself having to use the slider instead (which means I have to pull it out of my pocket and look at it, rather than just using the buttons).
The other thing that surprised me is that it doesn't have a USB charger. I use this remotely.. I have USB chargers on 12v batteries in the two places I use this the most. But when it comes time to charge, I have to bring it to a 110v outlet. Curiously, the charging port is 5v, so it would mean they could throw in a USB adapter and have both options. Of course, I plan on making one, but I shouldn't have to. It's not the end of the world, but it is puzzling to me. This seems like something only an electronics giant like Sony would do. Old school thinking is that everything runs off of AC. But these days, USB ports are everywhere.

AWESOME SOUND!!
I got to try this Sony XB30 Portable Wireless Speaker with Bluetooth. This is is an AWESOME speaker!! Very true, crisp clear LOUD sound. Deep base but not a thump or booming base but still really good for a portable speaker this size. I am sitting in the kitchen while it's playing in the living room and sounds just as great as our expensive home bluetooth stereo gigi beat system. I made a video for you to watch, but this speaker sounds so incredible in person. This will be great by our pool or in the horse barn. Has grippy rubber feet for staying still and is water resistant so no worries if splashed.Anyone will be able to connect up to it. We used our iPhones. it's easy. You will hear a voice tell you "Bluetooth pairing" then a gentle tone when you are connected. Go find your music whether iTunes or Pandora or etc.I am so happy for this opportunity. I think I'll actually buy a second one to keep in the barn and keep this one clean and around the house and pool only. I can actually pair with other speakers and could pair two or actually three with this. You are going to want more than one.You can speak into the SPEAKER to command your iPhone to find and play a song by pressing top speaker button. Just tell your smart phone to pause, play any song on your play list, etc. Cool DJ Type lights play with the music around the speaker.

Compré la bocina de importación y me llegó en aproximadamente 4 días en un buen empaque
En cuanto a la bocina está esamblada de un material que si bien evita que se resbale se ensucia rápidamente, pero es resistente y se limpia fácil
El sonido de la bocina es excelente tiene un buen balance y se escucha una separación estéreo, los graves es en donde en el modo Xtra bass alcanza a distorsionar en el volumen máximo , pero con la app música center se puede ecualizar o con el ecualizador interno de la fuente se puede cambiar,fuera de eso los graves son buenos , los agudos se escuchan bien no tiende a mezclar los sonidos.
Depende de la fuente el audio es distinto, la probé un una fuente de salida en códec sbc 44khz,16bits y aac 96,32bits y se alcanza a escucha una diferencia en el sonido.
Los efectos de luz son buenos y se pueden configurar por medio de la aplicación de música Center.
La duración de la batería es buena en volumen máximo alcanzo las 5 horas y 45 minutos aproximadamente y a un nivel medio alcanzo las casi 21 horas, depende de la fuente de audio, el volumen y los efectos de luz
Lo único malo que le veo es que no tiene radio y no se puede reproducir música por USB .
