Tuttavia, considera attentamente la capacità se prevedi di archiviare grandi quantità di dati o file multimediali.
Acquistato ormai 7 anni fa come base per il mio OS, ad oggi la capacità è irrisoria e ad oggi lo utilizzo per il retrogaming!
Allgemeine Info: Wenn man sich zum ersten Mal eine SSD zulegt sollte man vorher natürlich überprüfen, ob das Mainboard über SATA 6Gbit/s (inoffiziell auch SATA III oder SATA 600 genannt) Anschlüsse verfügt. Ansonsten macht der Betrieb einer SSD nicht viel Sinn. Außerdem sollte spätestens vor der Installation des gewünschten Betriessystems auf die SSD überprüft werden, ob im Bios AHCI für die SATA-Ports aktiviert ist und nicht nur IDE (Anleitungen dazu findet man überall im Netz).
Bis jetzt bin ich wirklich begeistert von der SSD. Als Betriebssystem wurde Windows 8.1 frisch installiert, was viel schneller vonstatten geht als wenn es auf einer herkömmlichen Festplatte installiert wird. Beim Starten des PCs dauert nun die Bios-/Mainboardanzeige, die Prüfung ob eine DVD eingelegt ist und das Starten der AHCI-Treiber sehr viel länger als der eigentliche Boot des Betriebssystem von der SSD. Nach der Passworteingabe ist man sofort auf dem Desktop und kann unverzüglich Programme starten, weitere Wartezeiten bis alles geladen ist fallen komplett weg. Dabei funktioniert auch das Zusammenspiel mit der eingebauten Festplatte (SSHD) sehr gut und auch diese Daten werden schnell geladen.
Nach dem ersten Windows-Start habe ich die Platte einem kurzen Check in Verbindung mit einem Benchmark unterzogen und muss sagen, die daraus entnommenen Werte reichen sehr nah an die vom Hersteller ausgegebenen Maximal-Werte heran. Im Betriebsverlauf werden alle installierten Programme und Daten sehr schnell geladen und es macht wesentlich mehr Spaß, den PC zu Nutzen als vorher mit einer normalen Festplatte. Im Betrieb wird die SSD zudem fast überhaupt nicht warm und bewegt sich im Bereich von 25-30 Grad. Wenn man nur Windows und wichtige Programme (bspw. Virenscanner, häufig genutze Programme und Autostart-Programme) installiert, reichen 120GB völlig aus. In meinem Fall habe ich derzeit noch ca. 80GB von 112 verwendbaren GB frei. Weniger wichtige Programme habe ich auf der SSHD installiert.
Ich habe die SSD in der Standalone-Version gekauft, aber auch da wird alles was dringend benötigt wird mitgeliefert. Dazu gehört natürlich die SSD, ein Einbaurahmen um sie in 3,5"-Festplattenschächte einbauen zu können und Schrauben. Die 15-20€ mehr für das quasi 'Rundum-Sorglos-Paket' mit externem Gehäuse, Schraubenzieher, DVD und Strom- und Datenkabel waren es mir nicht wert, zumal die neben dem Einbaurahmen unverzichtbaren Dinge wie SATA 6Gbit/s-Kabel und SATA-Stromkabel in jedem halbwegs aktuellen PC noch verfügbar sein sollten.
Alles in Allem bin ich rundum zufrieden mit der SSD und bereue den Kauf nicht eine einzige Sekunde. Der spürbare Geschwindigkeitsschub im Vergleich mit einer herkömmlichen Festplatte ist wirklich genial. Für den wirklich akzeptablen Preis kann man mit der SSD von Kingston für die gelieferte Qualität nichts falsch machen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
