Customers are satisfied with the accuracy of the biometric monitor. They say it's giving much more accurate information on their workouts than their stationary bike ever did, and it tracks their HR really well. The unit is also good when connected via Bluetooth and ANT+ support, and provides real-time metrics. It does a great job of tracking steps, and measures your stride when running. Customers are also impressed with the outdoor cycling cadence tracking and the detail it tracks, as well as the calories and heart rate at the end of their workout.

251 customers mention141 positive110 negative

Customers are mixed about the heart rate monitor. Some mention that it tracks your heart rate and calories burned very well and you don't need your phone or tablet. The heart rate date correlates with the pacemaker data, and it is a solid unit for monitoring heart rate. Others say that without a phone or table it only records heart rate, it is not tracking as accurately when you get to higher heart, and the heart sensor is unreliable. That said, some say that it is useless for tracking a treadmill workout.

"...The device already detects the heart beat, all it would need is the app to monitor the heart beat and rate and record the data...." Read more

"...Even if it shows as connected the HR readings are ridiculous at first (> 115) which skews the data for my workout on Endomondo...." Read more

"...The app tracks past workouts and can even upload them to a number of other fitness apps (I personally send mine straight to MyFitnessPal)..." Read more

"...and now I would conclude that the Fitbit charge2 is not tracking as accurately when you get to higher heart rate ... 134 bpm and higher...." Read more

Customers have mixed opinions about the connectivity of the product. Some mention that it pairs flawlessly with their phone and the offline workouts function as advertised, while others say that they are having issues with them connecting. Some customers also mention that the Bluetooth connectivity is problematic, while other customers say that the product would not consistently sync to their phone or read an accurate heart rate.

"...But after a couple weeks the pairing is seemingly impossible and results in a lot of wasted time...." Read more

"...It is accurate enough but it does not always work. Connectivity (bluetooth) is problematic. I use it with my iPhone, latest iOS...." Read more

114 customers mention70 positive44 negative

Customers are mixed about the compatibility of the product. Some mention that the app has a lot of useful features, while others say that it isn't great and is not ready for prime time. The device is being held back by inferior Wahoo apps, which are a little plain and incompatible with free fitness apps like Google Fit.

"...The app has a lot of cool reporting features and can be tailored to show you the data you want to see-..." Read more

"...On a very regular basis, the iOS app will simply not see the sensor, regardless of how fresh the battery is...." Read more

84 customers mention29 positive55 negative

Customers are mixed about the durability of the biometric monitor. Some mention it has proven durable with no issues with either the strap or the battery, while others say that the strap piece broke after six weeks. The actual metal of the snap broke, making them feel like the monitors are not as sturdy. Some say that it lasted 5 months and the click strap broke, while another customer says that it broke completely and will not connect to the app at all.

"...can put it on and take it off, and both of the plastic backing pieces on the strap popped off...." Read more

89 customers mention26 positive63 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the value of the product. They mention that it is a useless investment, the construction seems a bit cheaper than the Garmin soft strap, and the monitor is cheap and thin. They also say that the quality of the device is disappointing.

"...This is an expensive gadget, I wasted money on this product.Below is my original review from February...." Read more

"...are so bad and the added features don't really work, the TickrX isn't worth the extra money. I'm returning it for something else...." Read more

"...In summary, This is an excellent value for the money. You get all the data you need for accurate heart rate monitoring...." Read more

"...The other issue is I don't love the band. The material/construction seems a bit cheaper than say the Garmin soft strap and I am worried its going..." Read more

Great HR Monitor. Expect to buy a replacement strap.
5 Stars
Great HR Monitor. Expect to buy a replacement strap.
I have not used all of the features of this device. It can do Rep counting and indoor cycling cadence metrics, but I have primarily used it for strength training, treadmill running and outdoor running. As for the strap included..... it lasted around 4 months before the electrode section separated from the elastic strap. The strap was comfortable there were very little problems with it working but the components did not seem to last together for long....I bought a new strap to go with the main unit and everything is working well now.The main unit itself works very well, the main reason for my 5 star rating. It can track a very large slew of statistics that most people would probably want to use in physical training. Instantaneous HR, Average HR, HR zones, Cadence while running, ect. This device allow any user to monitor what's going on.It doesn't just work with the Wahoo Fitness app (which is a very good app), it worked with Samsung health, and even connected via ANT+ to a fitness watch. It's ability to connect via bluetooth and ANT+ should allow for some connectivity on any smartphone or fitness device.
