As other reviewers have stated, the condition that the saw arrives in is definitely lacking as far as a dovetail saw that you could use with any degree of satisfaction or enjoyment.
It is poorly sharpened and has far too much set, resulting in rough cuts. Having said that, it is made of good quality steel which holds an edge well.
If you are willing to do some work to rectify these problems, you will be rewarded with one of the best deals in a Gents style dovetail saw on the market.
If you have never sharpened a saw before, check out Paul Sellers excellent YouTube video on saw sharpening and you will have all the background knowledge you need to do the job correctly.
There is something about sharpening your own saw that is very rewarding and empowering when it is slicing through hardwood with minimal effort.
In my case, I jointed it, set the teeth and sharpened the saw as soon as I received it.
The end result is a great little dovetail saw that competes very favorably with some of the premium grade saws that I own from Lie Nielsen and Veritas.
This will never be a premium grade dovetail saw, but that was never what it was intended to be.
Premium saws have custom fitted hardwood handles that usually require a significant investment in time on the part of the manufacturer.
They usually also have a much thicker brass back to increase rigidity and weight.
Plus more time is spent sharpening and setting the blade so that the saw arrives ready for use.
In the case of this Two Cherries saw, the handle is more utilitarian, but comfortable and functional none the less. The brass back is relatively thin but in proportion to the saws size.
Final blade preparation and sharpening is pretty much left up to the purchaser to deal with.
However, once you have invested some of your time and effort to tune it up properly, you will be rewarded with a saw that performs far beyond the price that you paid for it.
One last issue worth noting is the blade is 13 TPI, not 15 TPI as advertised. The net result is a slightly more aggressive and faster cutting saw that works best on thicker boards.
THIS IS AN UPDATE:
I was able to repair the failed blade to handle connection of the Two Cherries saw. How I did it might be of interest to anyone with the same problem. I was able to accomplish this repair after I had purchased a 12" Knipex pliers wrench and a 1/8" diameter brass rod from Lowe's.
http://smile.amazon.com/Knipex-8603300-12-Inch-Pliers-Wrench/dp/B000Y03968/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1431205945&sr=8-6&keywords=Knipex+Pliers+Wrench
The thing that made this repair easy to accomplish was the following YouTube video on roll pin installation (AR15 Roll Pin Installation Made Easy).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q11mziNfzmc
The brass back (in addition to holding the steel blade) also protrudes into the handle about 1 inch. This brass back connection is a very poor and unreliable connection.
I drilled a 1/8" hole in the handle thru that portion of the handle into which the brass back protrudes (about 3/8" from the blade end of the wooden handle at the fattest part where it knurls up). So the hole so drilled went thru, not just the wood handle, but the brass protrusion too.
I cut a 1-3/16" long piece from the Lowe's 1/8" brass rod and drove it into the 1/8" inch hole in the handle and brass back protrusion similarly as the fellow in the video did with the AR 15's roll pin. That worked very well (just like in the video)! I then stuffed saw dust and wood glue into the voids in the wooden handle on either side of the brass back as it enters the handle to alleviate blade wobble in the handle. This was necessary because the hole in the handle is round while the brass back protrusion is not round. This seems to have solved the problem of the weak connection and actually ended up looking nice. If the saw had come with the blade connected to the handle like this I would have given it 5 stars.
Here's a Rob Cosman blade sharpening video that might be of help.

To be clear: other than the brass back there is ZERO difference between this saw and other no-name saws sold on Amazon that sell for half the price (other than the Two Cherry's logo on the blade). Fit and finish of the saw is a joke. The unfinished handle hasn't ben sharpened. There are drips of epoxy from the back running down the blade. The tooth set and sharpening is terrible as well.
About the only thing this saw is useful for is raw materials if you plan to make a new handle. And shape and recut the teeth yourself. And even for that purpose...it's overpriced. And if you were going to put that kind of work into something...would you want to do free advertising for this company? I could forgive some of these problems for a $10 saw (which is 100% what this is) but not a $30 saw.
