Hi , I have had Merrills before---I knew my size . My experience is Merrill Shoes are true to your size . They are extremely comfortable---They are sturdy built and last for quite a while . Even as I wore them in they stayed comfy . Podiatrists say we should get new shoes every year--a guideline I think .
Both my hubby & I still wear our Merrills from 3-4 years ago . The insoles Id say are the one thing that does wear out --but the shoes held their shape . The shoe laces need to be longer if you lace them thru to the top .
They are definitely worth the money . Amazon had the best deal I could find . Also all were mens shoes--womans shoes usually don't fit me . Also a note : foot doc recommends Merrills .

These boots are much better than advertised. From the first time I wore them they have been great. For my size 11 they seemed a little small but once broken in they fit like a glove. I wear them every day beginning with a 1.25 mile walk with my dog and then all day long afterwards. They can be a little warm but I wear them with thick cotton socks and they are fine. They keep my feet completely dry, even on a very rainy morning walk. Have never had a wet foot when wearing them. I am so satisfied with these boots I plan on getting a different pair of Merrels just for the winter. Before finding these boots I had very painful areas on my feet while wearing very well know walking shoes. In a matter of only a few days the pain was and continues to be a thing of the past. As for wear, I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 225lbs. and these boots show no sign of wearing out at all. I highly recommend these boots.

I wish that I could rate boots higher. They are extremely lite, have great traction, very good arch support and excellent ankle support! I have a 6 milliliter ankle tendon tear that I can't afford to have taken care of. With these boots, I rarely have ankle pain. Plus, I only paid $65 for them in September.'
Here's the negative!
1) The tounges have No leather on them, this causes the Thin laces to create pressure points and dig into the top of my foot. (I need to wear them tightly laced) I had to buy some wide laces to be able to comfortably wear them.
2) I've worn these quite a bit during the 6 months since I bought them. One of the rubber toe guards is now separating from the top of the shoe.
3) The size is at least 1/2 size too small.
They're also slightly narrow.
4) They are not waterproof and a little to hot for as much reinforced mesh these boots have.
5) The current price of $109.00 is to high, there are other Merrell boots that are much better and cost less.

I love these shoes for comfort...not another shoe around that is as easy to put on straight out of the box and GO....They are not even remotely waterproof, I gave up on them for that aspect years ago, but they are so comfy I choose them anyway. I will be sad when I won't be able to find them anymore since they are an older model. But really, if you are expecting waterproof,or heck, even water resistant...don't buy these shoes you will be totally disappointed.

These are outstanding boots, as expected from just about everything Merrell makes. They look really good, fit great, are super comfortable and extremely lightweight. My last pair (Moab mids) lasted close to 6 years and I have just as high hopes for these. If you're on the fence about buying them, go for it. You will have zero regrets. The day I received them we had 6 inches of snow on the ground, but my feet stayed warm and dry all day.

As others have noted Merrell seem to size small and perhaps if I'd known that I'd have bought a size bigger. That said I'm used to wearing two pairs of socks with these type of shoes/boots, so by only wearing one layer they fit OK. Heavier duty than I expected so taking some breaking in but looking good so far and certainly appear to be very well made.
